It's not clear how the both sides of the latch system is threaded through the forward facing seatbelt passthrough. Very frustrating. I have a Model Y and this seat only works in the center seat.
If you are having trouble we recommend going a CPS Tech! They can make sure your car seat is properly installed! You can find CPS Techs at your local Fire station or at safekids.org. ❤️
Here are the weight and height capacities: Rear-facing: 5-50 lbs and whose height is 44 inches or less. Forward-facing: 22-65 lbs and whose height is 57 inches or less. Booster Use: 40-120 lbs. and whose height is 57 inches or less
@@TheBabyCubby It's this padding to add comfort and cushion to the carseat. I know it supports mainly the body, but maybe some of the head too... It's almost like an optional accessory they added. Hard to explain, unless I search for their manual to see what they call it...
@@Justin-gr4yi I think you are referring to the lap belt cushion! Here are Diono's specific instructions for using the lap belt cushion. "Use the Diono Lap Belt Cushion ONLY under the following conditions: 1. Forward-Facing Diono convertible car seat. 2. You are using the vehicle lap belt only, not the lap-shoulder belt or SuperLATCH. 3. There is NO top tether anchor in the vehicle seating position you have chosen for installation. " I hope this helps!
By far the best video explanation of how to
Install and operate this car seat!
We are so glad you found this video useful!
Wish I had known about these car seats before my twins were born! Would have saved us a ton of money not having to get a bigger vehicle!
Oh so sorry about that! There are so many options out there it can be overwhelming while looking for products!
Omg thank you. Literally never would have figured this out on my own.
That's a realy cute carseat.
We totally agree!
Why does the safe stop have to be removed after the child reaches 40lbs?
Is there a way to install this in forward facing mode (but not booster mode) without a tether?
Best explanation ever!
How do you install the cup holder?! There’s no hole!
there is, under the cover. you will see an actual two holes on the arm rest cover to plug in the cupholder. hope it helps
I wish the headrest came off or locked in place. My kiddo always pulls it down.
So for the booster mode do you not have to use the latch system
Right! You use the seatbelt :)

In booster mode the seat isin’t attaches to the car at all ? Or do we attatch the top tether
It’s a high back booster so it will be attached with the top tether and should be buckled when not in use!
This radian doesn't come with the full back coverage?
Are you asking for when it's in booster mode?
Does the head protection wings adjust sideways? Can it spread wider if you want?
That is a great question! The headrest on the Radian cannot be widened. Let us know if you have any other questions!
So the child has to be 50 pounds in order to use it as a high back booster with the seatbelt? I thought it was 40 lbs?

@@TheBabyCubby thank you so much!
What about the top extra padding that it comes with? How do you install that?
Hi Justin! I am not quite sure if I understand your question. Are you talking about the infant insert head support?

What is mid size vehicle?
By mid-size we are referring to something bigger than a sedan!
@@TheBabyCubby I fit 3 in my Ford Focus
Do you think I can fit 3 in a Hyundai Elantra 2016?
I hated this seat
So sorry this wasn’t the seat for you, hopefully you found a car seat that was a better fit for you and your family!
can I ask you why?
