The Diono - there’s a reason it’s so heavy - solid steel frame. As far as safety is concerned for your newborn the diono wins. We pick car seats based on safety for our kids, not comfort of our passengers.
I have the extend2fit in the model Y behind the front passenger. I feel there is no room. Do you have any recommendations for one that provides more room?
Perhaps consider a travel system infant seat for the first year for comfort for baby and convenience for mom and dad. Then go with Diono for the years to follow.
I tried this. My kid outgrew the click in infant seat in less than six months. Then we put the diono in full time. The lost leg room sucks but it's a way safer seat than most.
Do you have a video like this but for boosters? Our daughter is almost 8 and we are planning to move her into a high back booster seat but arent quite sure wich one to pick just yet, would love to hear your thoughts on it!
We don't have a video on that yet, but we love these two brands in this video. I would check out Graco TurboBooster Highback Booster Seat as it's probably the one we would go with if our daughter was older.
There is a really slim graco convertible called the Graco Slimfit 3 LX. It's also supposed to do 3 across and could potentially work in combination with a Diono as they're very similar width. In fact the Graco is a touch slimmer width wise than all of the Diono Radians. Front Passenger leg room is also potentially a hair bit better with the Graco Slimfit 3 LX than the Diono Radian.
What seat do you think we should pick?
The diono

It’s like no one has a video of someone sitting in between two car seats on RUclips except you. Thank you!
Thank you for the video and all the best to you and the growing family.
Thanks! We're excited!
It's funny you picked the two carseats I wanted to compare
Great minds think alike 😜

you missed the step to install the latch on the top

That's a good idea.
@@tesbros Just about to get rid of the travel system and transition to the convertible seat and this was exactly the info I wanted to see. Thank you!

Amazing job getting the seats in while pregnant. Those are some heavy seats.

@@tesbros Oh thank you so much! Will definitely check out graco turbo booster.
It's good to note that the Graco does WAY better in crash tests than the Diono.
For sure! We love our Graco so far!
We have a Tesla Y too. Will Diono 3QXT fit with 2 other car seats that are different brand? Or it has to be 3 Diono to be able to fit 3 across?
It has to be 3 Diono to fit 3 across. Or possibly 3 car seats of a different brand that are as thin as the Diono one

Congrats Bro! Good Content
Thank you!!
Soooo…which one did you pick?
We ended up going with the Graco
Diono seems like puts a lot of pressure on leather seats, especially with that plastic thing that makes it recline
As a momma the Graco might be better it's not so heavy and more than likely will be able to connect with a stroller
Neither of these car seats can connect to strollers
