These two dudes talk so well together .Great fucking show
Yeah, this is my favorite duo
No doubt,my go to show on the NFL draft talent!!
I love these two not only are they realistic and not bias but they are intelligent
WE BACK!
LOVE TREVOR & CONNOR!
WELCOME BACK BOYS!
I always spam a chat whenever I saw someone interview Brad Spielberger on someone's else show that "I love the NFL Stock exchange show/pod!"
Two of the best nfl voices, love the show. Really liked your bit with PFT Connor, I like mikes candor and honesty in reporting so it was cool seeing my two favorite nfl talk shows colab.
So happy for you guys! Want to shout out Connor, I want to say you're my favorite interviewer of anyone I have seen videos of at the combine! You really make these guys comfortable with you and actually ask them insightful questions since you do know all about them. You can tell the guys appreciate it, especially when you run through their scouting reports. Keep up the great work gentlemen!
I really, really appreciate that.
There they are! We’ve been patiently waiting for this episode at the combine. 🙏🏽
MY COMMENT SETUP THE COLD OPEN! Just made my entire week 😂
DRAFT SEASON BABY
You guys are so much fun to listen to (I truck drive for a living so...I can't necessarily watch you two).however...you always have outstanding content and analysis!!!
It's insane how small Sweat makes Connor look with Connor being 6'4 250
58:24 love the Ruke Orhorhoro shoutout. He’s been a stud for us at Clemson and I heard he ran a blistering 40 as well, so hope that confidence gets him some bonus points 😂.
Thank god for this show. makes me feel normal about my mock draft obsession
maxx crosby has also mentioned he boxes/studies UFC fighters to train as a pass rusher. very interesting
Crosby is a monster. I love to still see some intensity and ferocity dominating in the NFL.
Best draft content on RUclips. Well done Trevor and Connor.
Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye both had excellent seasons, but Maye did it with a 3rd-4th round receiver and Daniels had 2 x 1st rounders... that's how I look at it
Maye might as well have been playing with a junior varsity team, they were so bad. JD’s Arizona st tape scares me that Washington is gonna draft him
@@nicknova703they aren’t bro
the slightly frustrating part about the discourse for me is the disconnect between the draft fan community and the scout community. the draft community and a lot of the media distorted the Celeb vs Maye debate like there ever was one. They break it down statistically, they break it down analytically, they project out drake Mayes skillset to the next level, you lot even talk about contextually and situationally. i think all of this is fair. i even think were all mostly on the same page. where we split is The draft community, you guys, my Brothern, the Dane Bruglers, the matt millers, everyone cares about mechanics and fully realized skillset to varying degrees. no one talking about the differentiators there enough and i'm not saying the Daniels fans are right or wrong i'm saying the way that ranking stacks when people say Daniels is not only Qb3 easily, but he's Qb2, that order says to me, that's where Celeb is separating himself and thats where Jayden is gaining on Maye. IF big IF it plays out this order. if Maye keeps falling and don't be shocked if a few people start saying JJ 3, Maye 4 as well, the draft community is missing that scouts are stacking that cluster by the smallest details and what's going on there in my opinion is mechanically and footwork wise Maye is lowkey boom or bust, where, Jayden is more reliable and consistent, and JJ's pro style experience helps him more than most "experts" and analyst fully understand.
@@mayowaerinle6541 i'll put it this way its like Jayden is gonna play in the league for 10 years, will he be a top 15 QB? will he be a backup? we don't know, we just know he'll definitely have a job in the NFL as a QB. JJ's film is more translatable than Mayes, wild as that is to say and there room for his profile to rise. Maye is picked apart and the issues with him none of his biggest supporters want to acknowledge are catching up to him and if ur a gm and you don't wanna take a risk, you might pass on him. granted i think it's deathly scary and might haunt you forever but thats just the reality of this here.
Hope you guys are enjoying Indy. May be cold, but at least it's been Sunny
You guys have the best opening line to a show I’ve heard so far.
I look forward to all of these episodes, makes my day 🤗
Great video guys, thanks.
Great adlib episode! Thanks for all the content
Great Stuff Guys !
Thanks
Connors jacket is an absolute drip 🔥
Darius Robinson feels like a Karl Brooks type to me. Gonna go later than people think because of his body type but he will produce if given the reps.
Been waiting for this!
The Cade Stover story was great!
This podcast is the best. 😂
If Washington can Draft him, he will stay there and represent Washington a long time.💪💯🎉
But they won’t bc he’s going to Chicago
@@llamarre4 JF1 is better. I've evaluated. I do like Penix tho 😂😂😂
@@knowledgeuntamed9177 better in what way bc he’s literally the 24th ranked QB. Fields fans will make stupid blanket statements in spite of the evidence this is hilarious 😂😂
@@knowledgeuntamed9177 thanks for your couch gm evals my boy 😂😂
Let’s go boys! Perfect timing after i just put some chicken down on the bbq
Great video
I was really missing the pod! Looking forward to hearing about the protein ice cream next week, Trevor!
Maason Smith. 35 inch Arms 😳😳😳 But then 8 inch hands 😅 That was odd.
He a Steeler
The thing to keep in mind about Washington is that Harris swears he doesn't influence decisions and just wants to be exposed. Peters is brand new rebuilding a bad team, I find it unlikely that he'd part with additional 1's to move up one spot.
Bears fan here. I agree with Trevor that Chicago could trade down for a haul just to move down 1 spot in this draft, then select Drake Maye. Trading down a second time with the #9 pick also makes sense. We should move down to #12 and take Latu there. Defensive End needs to be drafted as we've already invested cap in Sweat. In the 2nd round with a pick acquired for Justin Fields, I like WR Roman Wilson.
Miami would love to move up for Bowers.
Dont they need to fix their o line and get cheaper overall?
Another killer show
What would the compensation be for #3 from ATL or MN? NYG in play for #3?
Love it..these two look SOOO cold though lol
If Connor is 6’4” 240, and I have no reason to doubt that, then T’Vondre Sweat has to be at least 7’2” 580.
21:00 I agree, we're not at a point where the draft alone can make us a complete team. With about $80 million to spend in FA (maybe about $40 million after extending JJ and singing rookies and filling out the roster), we'll need to sign maybe one big-name guy and a slew of quality guys.
when do we find out about latu’s medicals?
That cade segment has me rollin
Yes Jaden Hicks 🙌
If a team were to draft Jackson Powers Johnson and move him to guard where would you guys rank him among top guard prospect in this class?
You a Lions fan too? I want this answered lol
I have a bad feeling for you guys that he won't be there at 29. However for me he's Guard 2, Fatanu at 1.
Kinda depends how far you go with which tackles "could play guard". For me, I have Mims, Latham, and Olu as top tackles that i wouldn't move inside.
Fuaga would be my top "guard". Suamataia would be second. Both guys are seen by most as tackles, and I like Kingsley outside but push come to shove I'd be good with him at guard too, so athletic and versatile. Fuaga inside would be a mauler.
Then I'd have Barton I think, followed by Jordan Morgan. JPJ and Beebe would be next for me.
The reason opinion splits is its a really good interior ol class like, what makes Jackson more value than most others is he can play all three spots where most swing guys can't, honestly he might have Elgton Jenkins level upside and if that's the case dis don't be surprised if he can play tackle too and if that's the case most teams just don't have him high enough lol. he's a top 5 guard and a top 5 center. nobody else is really elite at both, i'm on record i don't think him going 5 to the chargers is a terrible pick. i'm overly high on him tbf i just think the range is wide because this area is probably the strength of the draft. Example, my rankings has Haynes #1, powers Johnson #2, Julian pearl #3, van Pran granger #4, Frazier #5. Another dude might have a 5 with some order of Fautanu, Layden Robinson, cooper beebe, Zak Zinter if his medical checks out and graham barton. some people love Javion Cohen or Puni and its like thats not totally like unreasonable either anyway you stack it. i'd think every team had a different order nearly.
I want to hear these guys take about every day of the combine
I love it when this episode is brought to you by Meat Curtains TM.
Give me a ‘hell yeah’
Trevor wearing a coat inside, like I wasn’t just wearing shorts the other day 🥲
Tyson Bagent is another teams should look at Trading for for QB competition. He had some good starts for Bears last year. Purdy like player. His floor is young cost effective backup. Ryan Tannehill is also a good backup option. Wentz someone should keep in camp as a backup.
The amount of draft capital teams would have to give up to make it worth the bears trading him doesn’t match up.
Why would the Bears even make him available? No one is going to offer them a high draft pick for him.
If Washington offers both second rounders and next years first to swap picks, I would take it and draft Drake Mayes. He needs to sit for a year behind Justin. Justin's contract runs out nest year and he goes somewhere else. The Bears get a compensatory third rounder which is about what they will get for trading Justin now.
AEW shoutout cements this pod as #1
With the Commanders most likely taking a QB, Sam Howell landing spots are interesting to me. You guys mentioned them keeping him as a backup or the Pats as a spot, but I'm curious about the Rams. Stafford is still under contract for 3 years with an out after 2 and their future after him is unknown. Learning behind Stafford could obviously help his development. Also, maybe the Saints as another destination and being able to sit behind Carr for a year or so. Curious on your thoughts.
Jets
Rams is a good call.
Could you imagine if the bears took Caleb and then moved back up to 3 with their 9th and future picks to take Marvin Harrison Jr?
I dont see it Thats not Poles style
Jonah Elliss is the son of 10 Year DT Luther Elliss. Jonah has some of the best Instincts and feel for securing the Edge. Many tools to rush the passer also.
I keep thinking that drafting players for the singular attribute of speed is a fragile, risky proposition. It's the easiest thing to get nicked during a game, it doesn't last as players age, and players who rely on speed (or, I suspect, strength -- any single attribute) don't anticipate, don't expand their repertoire, and become reluctant to take risks that might diminish their speed. Which is somehow different from "being fast." Is there a way to separate/measure that? Or am I simply wrong.
goats
So crazy how they both mentioned Russ and fields to Pitt could happen and they end up getting both 🤣
Are you guys suggesting Elliss is on or above Darius Robinson? That would be wild
🔥
As a OSU fan Cade Stover has been a hopeful draft option for a while. I'd be very happy if the Bengals snag him.
Sound?
Patriots fan here and I am very happy here to trade down! I'm not interested in 'hope' to a 9-7. Imo the only QB in this class that truly wows me is Williams and I don't want him either. I would be happy to trade down and buy weapons like Bowers and Burton maybe a Brian Thomas too. We need to fix the weapons such that the next QB we get will have someone to throw to
Babe, wake up. New T’Vondre Sweat weigh in data just came thru.
You like arsenio hall when he had the ultimate warrior on his show
25:00 Bengals yea
Kirk is 100% staying i’ll be honest lol, i’m surprised you guys are surprised by that
Justin Fields is 9 months younger than Kenny Pickett. He's only 14 months older than Michael Penix Jr.
Really shocked to see Trevor talking more about Washington trading up, seemed like the train had more steam from him circulating them trading back
If Sweat is watching this I have a strong feeling that you're destined to come help the chargers. The weather is beautiful and we have a dream team staff.
Y’all should do a giveaway of PFF+
Orhorhoro, his nick name is going to be Scooby Doo
Praying to God that Nabers or Maye somehow make it to the Giants especially Maye
Brock Bowers is smaller but he is super unique. TE is still undervalued for some reason when it’s pretty obvious SB teams always have an elite one.
PFF WAR for TE is actually pretty high the past few years
Bowers is going to be a star and then everyone who doubted him will be like "yeah of course, what was I thinking?"
I think we're so primed to placing so much value on athleticism that when someone is just a great athlete but not elite they don't know how to process it.
The media are worried about Pitts scenario where he goes somewhere and doesn't live up to the hype.
I think he'll a good player. Probably a Mike Gesiki kind of player/return.
I think they should put all the players they would have put on the cover since the 14 game on it. Saban built a great program and is tge goat coach but he is also a big reason CFB is how it is now.
If Darren Waller does decide to retire should brock bowers be of serious consideration for the giants at 6?
If you're Poles, why not move back to #2 and then trade #2 too? Maybe get #3 and a boatload of future firsts in the process and take Jr.
Wondering if tight end is worth a top ten pick when kelce has been a top 5 weapon in football for like 7 years is wild.
Kelce was a third rounder. Kittle was I think a 5th rounder? Gronk was a second. You can get really good tight ends in later round whereas the quality of things like offensive tackle plummets outside of the first two rounds.
why does everyone just think theres another Kelce just growing on a tree? he might be the goat TE lol
@@tvtda1 Not the point no one is saying bowers will be kelce but it’s the idea that if you take a tight end and he pans out to be special how much value there is in that. Like Caleb Williams probably won’t be Patrick mahomes but you take the chance because how much qb matters and if you do hit its franchise changing obviously tightend isn’t at that level of importance but id say it’s just as if not more important than having a special receiver.
@@bouncingboredom That’s class dependent banking on late round players just because others have hit isn’t safe. Like Russell Wilson was a 3rd rounder and Tom Brady went in the 6th do you pass on qb? No. Antonio brown and Tyreek hill both went late that doesn’t diminish the value of receivers. You gotta go after high caliber players and if you manage to scout well enough to in later rounds also pick up impact players that’s great and that’s how great teams are built but the high end talent matters.
The UofL decor is so cool to see. Go Cards!
That’s definitely St Louis
Look at the frame on the wall
@@ChrisTipton21 ahh I thought you were talking about the table
Interesting that there are reports saying drake has dropped in draft boards and here they say the bird has stayed the same for many teams. Wonder if this is a game the teams are playing
Drake may drop to 4-6. Maybe.
Missouri prospects have good heads on their shoulders
Considering there’s not much to do in Missouri outside of Kansas City and St. Louis very much hard to be a crazy person in Missouri
@@captainspartan04 you’ve never been to Missouri then huh 😂
@@jefflever2964 have been 4 times in the past year and definitely the most boring state I’ve traveled to. Arkansas was more fun
I know the Safety video hasn't come out yet but why did Kinchens fall so much? He's rated 80 on the PFF board.
I have no idea why. Prospect fatigue? Him being asked to do everything like Connor said along with his numbers not looking as good after missing time with the injury he suffered against i believe was A&M.. My #1 with Nubin at #2.
Chicago Bears can be the darlings of this draft and come away with a haul of picks with a trade with Washington and possibly trade that pick keep Fields and build team around him
The Vikes and Kirk have been saying this consistently - it's not just a Combine thing. The sticking point appears to be that Kirk wants more guaranteed money and a longer term than Kwesi is prepared to give. The gap has never been big. My guess is that Kwesi is betting that the market for a 36yo QB coming off an Achilles will not be multiple years of guaranteed money, and Kirk will come back.
Kwesi has a strong track record of calling bluffs - ask Michael Pierce, Zadarius Smith, Harrison Smith, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, Pat Peterson.
The best hope for the Raiders to move up without mortgaging the future would be to trade Adams to the Jets for pick 10. Then trade pick 10 and 13 to move up to pick 3. Or, stand pat and use pick 13 to trade ahead of Atlanta to get McCarthy.
Finally
I don’t understand this talk about Washington going to number one. Every local reporter I’ve talked or heard from says that they’re not moving at all. All local reports from inside the team show that they don’t seem like they’re moving at all. It seems like they’re sticking and picking at two. This seems odd to push this point. I don’t think they’re moving. And by all reports, it doesn’t seem like they want to move.
Because media like to create hype and stirring things so they can something to talk about
The best part about this episode - the Cardinals tabletop - let’s go Redbirds !!
EDGE?
I'd love to see the Bears take Bowers at 9, and run a ton of 12 personnel with him and Kmet
Cade Stover: Is he big enough to host the pod? Doesn't matter. He'll host when he wants to host and Trev and Connor will just hafta deal. ;)
I can’t see why Washington would trade up to 1, if the bears are moving back to 2, if the Bears want a QB.
Sure, if Washington wants Caleb, they’d want no. 1, but the only way Chicago would trade down is if they didn’t want Caleb (maybe maye or something). If they didn’t, Caleb would fall to them. The only reason to trade up one spot is to remove the threat of someone jumping from behind you -ahead of you.
Now in a world where Chicago loved all 3 QBs, and could threaten to trade with New England, then that’s the only realistic scenario i could see a trade. Otherwise it feels like they’d be fleeced, regardless of how much they’d have to give up.
What about Justin staying in Chicago AND the bears draft a QB? Justin's value isn't high enough for a trade in Poles eyes, so he keeps him AND starts him this year. Let's hit rookie QB develop and learn the system until Justin's contract is up, the franchise tag and trade. Justin still has the locker room so let the team get used to the rookie as a back up and have a easier transition
I’ve heard a few rumors that say JJ McCarthy might sneak into the top 3 anyone else hear this?
More content!!!!!!!! lol
Baker mayfield would be a good fit in New England. Draft MHJ.
When NBA players shoot 3s in practice, they literally make more than 90 out of 100.
I could see Russ or Fields going to Indy for cheap as they want a running backup QB, there isn't one in the draft, and they have the money to overpay a guy like that (for one year).
Jeremiah Fennell looks older
Jayden Daniels gonna be a Raider
Na. Raiders are too far back. Unless Daniels starts to drop. Which I doubt.
Trevor wants Caleb in Washington so bad and thinks it’s this magical story, but it’s not, as a Washington fan, the last two hometown kids we “brought home” Chase young and Haskins, didn’t work out
And with Adam peters saying you build a team through draft, why would you give up the assets you just got from trading 2 key players to draft Caleb, when Jayden who DQ just called “game-changer” is right there …..
and I get it…. We are at the point of the season where you have to make this theories bc if you didn’t you wouldn’t have anything to talk about but make it make sense, listen to what people in the building have been saying
The leaks of old days ain’t here no more
