My feeling is that the old time JNR rail system was very interesting. You could see a lot of varieties running. As for now, the JR system is very efficient, but to the extent that it is really boring. All the Shinkansens look more or less the same and even the freight trains are all, except the tank cars, containerized. Nothing shows special characters.

須田社長の時代はロマンがあって良かったね。
今は標準化優先のトヨタ式経営が板について単なる移動手段にしかならなくなったよね。

JR東海で活躍した機関車で、現存しているのは、ED18-2号機とEF58-157号機のみ。どちらも、リニア・鉄道博物館で展示されている。
JR東海は新幹線ばかり優遇させ過ぎる‼️
