2019 had alot of disappointing movies. Not alot of terrible ones if you don't count Netflix.
The beginning half of the year had mediocre movies than movies picked back up during award season.

I'll be honest, I didn't think Lion King would flop as bad as the other cartoon to live action adaptation counterparts like Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella.

I just really wish the CG artists didn't have to take so much of the flak. It's a beautifully animated movie. The amount of work it must have taken to get it to look so good must have been enormous. The real problem was the decision to make it a near-identical replication, without taking in to account the difference in medium.

Every time I hear someone talk crap about critics in general, I always respond that the smart thing is to find one or a few who share similar interests than you and to weigh your options on that. I listen to quite a few critics, from Stuckmann, the Schmoes, Campea...but Jahns is the critic that I find more closer to my tastes. His personality is just icing on the cake. So Jahns is usually my go-to when it comes to consideration on things. Thanks for another entertaining year, Jeremy. I met you once during a Collider meet and greet in Orlando a couple years ago, weird how someone on RUclips can brighten your day, but you did. Hope you have a kick ass 2020!

Rise of Skywalker wasn’t that bad and at least the best of the new trilogy. It was messy af from a filmmaker perspective but it’s casual fun. Seeing the Sith planet and palpatine shoot his bass was pretty cool
