Two things. The grenades are purely for shutting down portals. Also it functions on portal logic. You maintain/gain momentum when going through a portal. That's how some ppl zip around the map.
This is a fun game. Thing is the lack of context (story) & skins seemingly ripped out of a spirit halloween didn't help ppl get invested. Also they announced being done putting out new content (maps) about two years ago. A sequel has been announced. I hope it's good & fixes the problems of the first game. The cactus & tiger dude just didn't fit/felt random/weird.
I used to play splitgate a lot but they got rid of competitive 2v2 and that was my main game so i kinda stopped playin after a while. I hope it can make a comeback as it was pretty fun.

Yeah I agree, I had a lot of fun playing the game. Hopefully the next project that they're working on is even better.
They are in rebuild as they want to design in unreal
