kumbhaka is good when you do it properly (meaning - not holding, but suspending and expending), better yet is when Kumbhaka just happens. Kumbhaka is not the tool (most of breathing exercises are), it is a consequence. When your breath is so subtle, almost not observable, Kumbhaka happens. Kumbhaka is not about quantity, it is about quality. It is also a checking point of your Pranayama Sadhana. If the breath disappears in your awareness and there is only prana, you did a good job. practice Kumbhaka, but know the point when to drop the practice and just relax and observe. I ask this: how many hours per day can you practice? 4-5? How many hours per day you can observe? 18-24? many people see and many people do/practice. very few observe. but that is the very core of all Yoga practices. what you do is always just a tool. what you observe is always a core.

pl explain what is suspending and expending in Kumbhaka

    • @borisnahalka3027

@@babitasevika1101 imagine sinusoide or a wave at its peak. That's what real Kumbakha is. How stretched it is on it's horizontal axes is your suspension and how high it goes on vertical axes is your expansion. The main point is - it never stops. You stop the breath, you kill the prana. You want your peak to be as high as possible, without forcing it and you want it to be as flat as possible without being completely flat. basically, as massive as it can get.
