I’m so glad for the internet and for channels like this! I’ve been dealing with chronic ibs and fatigue for years and tried to treat that by switching to a mostly vegan diet which didn’t cure me either. I’m a dancer and martial artist so I exercise several hours daily and over a the last year, my symptoms evolved into paresthesias, muscle pain and weakness and weight loss to my dismay and then I started having these weird, frightening episodes where I’ve been absolutely terrified that I might be dying because I start to slur and lose cognition and can’t walk or stand up without fainting. They usually happen during a workout or at the end of the day and it took a long time to realize that in addition to the obvious triggers, fatigue, dehydration, stress…one thing that definitely brings these on is sugar. Every time I go to the hospital they just drug and alcohol test me and then tell me it must be in my head, but sometimes they gave me saline solution and when they’ve done that, I feel sooo much better for a few days. I’m really hoping I’ve found what’s wrong because at this point, everyone thinks I’m psycho with some imaginary illness and I’ve been really scared for my life and well-being knowing something is seriously wrong. I tried taking a b complex and it did not help, but the I finally found a supplement with just B1 and I started 250mg a day and so far, no new scary spells. And I discovered some med spas offer IV drips for athletes. If this is it, you might just be saving a life! I’ve been starting to think I might actually be going crazy the way doctors treat me, but it makes sense since I haven’t been eating processed, fortified foods or meats thinking all this time I was doing what I should to get healthier. Everyone talks about protein and b12 deficiency with vegan diets, but nobody ever told me about thiamine. Fingers crossed!

Sad that most doctors misses this symptom and had missed diagnosis, or just ignore them all together because lack of knowledge or just AFRAID TO SAVE LIVES. I have read some articles about how high doses thyamine plus vitamin C high doses can virtually take a very ill patients OUT OF COMA!! My mom died because the doctor didn't have a clue about thyamine and vitamin C will totally treat acidosis and sepsis, very high doses. If only use vitamin C , it must be consider 150.000mg intravenously, and after the patient start to feel better you must continue the treatment couple days longer, IF stop the patient will relapse. After patient it's much better continue with 5000mg liposome oral. If use thyamine for lactic acidosis and sepsis, doses of thyamine intravenously must non less than 500mg three times a day for minimum 4 days, also you can add a great dose of vitamin C with the thyamine. After patient feels better, doses of 200mg or higher must continue ORALLY indefinitely. Specifically those that is candidate for intubation, MUST CONSIDER thyamine plus vitamin C as a first line of treatment, as intubation puts them at a much higher risk for mortality . There no harm og thyamine high doses neither does vitamin C, the risk is NOT give it to them. By not receiving this simple treatment the mortality rate goes up each minute of the day. Doctors dont need to yelli at the hospital that the patient need high doses vitamin C, just be discreet, and order a test for vitamin C and you will see that is almost non existent in the very ill patients, and that's why progresses fast to sepsis.

Very sad that doctors often misdiagnose patients ALL THE TIME, many people lose their lives from misdiagnose. I lost my mom from heart failure, I have been studying a lot about this, I now know that was wet Barbieri. I told the stupid doctor in charge that she needed very high doses of thyamine intravenously 3 times a day, doses of 500mg, but he refused to understand what I was talking about. She progressed to sepsis and your organs started to fail,,,,I cant let go of this, its have been 17 months, and feels like yesterday 😭😭😭😭 theses doctors must review the text book all the time, to avoid misdiagnose their patients, they should be accountable for their mistakes and the lives of all those people they KILLED

Doctor do not want to cure, because they will loose income permanently. So, what they do, keep you alive on drugs or let the patient die, but not to cure.

      Sorry for your loss.
      A sad story indeed.
Usually in most hospitals there is a "customer care desk" were you can launch enquiries, etc
Post mortem exams can be requested to be conducted etc, if things are not clear.
Once again sorry for your loss.
There's a need to always hear each other out "medical staff and their clients" and exercise all Ethical requirements in the background of evidence based medical practice

About a year ago I got a shot in my glute that hit a nerve. This extreme pain actually kept getting worse over a period of three weeks. During this time, my metabolism had shifted away from keto and I was craving carbs badly. I might add that I have Celiac and Crohn's. I learned that Benfotiamine could help and started taking it. My nerve pain went away in less than two days! I'm here again because I'm suspecting low Thiamine again. This time, also eating more carbs than I'd like, I have developed a Ganglion Cyst on the palm of my hand. I always thought they were inflammed tendons but rescently learned that they often are nerves that become symptomatic in the presence of joint problems. I have arthritis too. I had been lowering my dose of TTFD due to cost. I just ordered more TTFD and Benfortiamine to see if this cyst will resolve. Maybe it will help my fatique too.

Totally true I have the same problem and I found out about this deficiency in a book I had from the 80’s and the author passed away during the Covid-19 on 2022 therefore I try calling him but he was gone. He told us that nobody knew about this disease and he goes on to tell you about the lack of vitamin B-1 or thiamine I was astounding because it was exactly what I had and I kept reading I had this book since the 1980 and it was know 2023 to make a long story short I bought everything on line and I started to drink the protocol 3 times per day but it was too much and I became sick. It was hard because I was not able to consult the doctor because he was no longer around. But he did say that the Mack of vitamin B-1 did make your heart weak to the point that you will died and you needed infusions of B-1 in order to survive and everybody is afraid to perform that because the you know who! I kept looking 👀 and I did find places to the the infusions but it’s not cover by the insurance and it’s almost 250.00 dollars per session and you need to do at least 4 per month in the beginning! I also found out that certain foods has B-1 like pork chaps, beans 🫘 and many other things the problem is the fact that you can’t simulate that that’s where the problem begins. Therefore you needs the infusions to kick it off. I will continue to seek the help until I find it.

I’m 36 non drinker, and eat healthier than anyone I know. There must be other causes or our food is so vitamin deficient we might as well be starving.
