You are correct that other doctors will not diagnose Dry Beri-Beri with B1 Deficiency. All the symptoms you mentioned I HAVE IT to the point. But my Doctor does not think its Beri-Beri- according to him "It is a thing of the past" and n longer prevalent in this time of age.. I think my peripepheral neuropathy is cause due to my alcohol abuse. I have stop drinking for over a week and i am now supplementing both B1 and Folic Acid in High Doses.

I have it too. Misdiagnosed for years. Now on B1 infusions but left with episodic cerebella’s ataxia. How are you doing now? Did you sue doctors?
