My dr. Suggested thiamine as I am a diabetic and last one month I have started taking it and it has tremendous benefits as I was finding it difficult to walk properly. Now I have started improving my condition. Thanks to my doctor and also to you for providing such a important information.
Hi Sharda. Do you take Thiamine alone. Or do you take another herbal supplement with it. MY issue may be a bit like yours.Thank you so much. Stay safe.
I tried some from Amazon with not so good results, my toes started going numb at night, I never had that happen. I stopped it and in a couple of days the numbness went away and didn’t come back.
@@chuckbert3117, sometimes, when you take a supplement it can reveal another deficiency that you have. And sometimes taking a supplement can cause another deficiency because vitamins do not work in isolation. So, when you took the thiamine, you may have revealed a B12 deficiency or maybe created a B12 deficiency. It is often times recommended that people take a b complex and then take additional B1 with it.

Dear doctor, I have been studied about vitamin B1 (all forms) for months. What I have learned is that there are some true synthetic liposoluble forms of vitamin B1 but benfotiamin is not such a form. It converts to another form, a LIPOPHILIC one, before passing the intestinal wall i.e. before entering the bloodstream. In the blood it further converts into thiamine. We get about four times more thiamine in the blood with benfotiamin than if we take the same amount of a thiamine supplement. For some people it will be enough to take smaller amounts of benfotiamin ( several times during the day is better than just ones a day). But for many people who, because they have consumed too much carbs and sugars, the enzyme that you mentioned has lost its function (more or less), they will need very high concentration of thiamine in the blood. That high concentration will allow thiamine from the blood to enter the cells using an alternative transport system. In time this might help this enzyme to start working better and the cells to start making energy. That is why people who take 600 or 900 mg of benfotiamin start feeling better. There are doctors who treat people with some diseases, for instance with Parkinson's, with huge doses of "ordinary" thiamine, 2,000mg a day or more, together with magnesium and some other B vitamins.
Thank you so kindly SUGARMD I will very much look into Thiamine and Benfotiamine supplements because I want to beat Diabetes problems with all I can. Food, diet, exercise, health weight. Just one step away from getting better tomorrow, today.

I go slow about adding things and am careful about where and how its made.
@@roadhousepress that’s a valid reason for taking vitamin D as it boosts immune system among a myriad of other bodily functions. I didn’t know that sodium butyrate promote gut health. I am consuming more Greek yogurt to gain the benefits of probiotics in the gut. Gut healing is so important to more readily and effectively absorb the nutrients in our diet. I suggest Quercetin too. It is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
@@concertakapanol1174 yes the s.b. Aids my digestion greatly - been on it for 2 months now and no more loose stools or the opposite. And am better able to absorb nutrients. As you may know we make s.b. - the addition of the supplemented s.b. has had a dramatic benefit for me. I am waiting on quercitin to arrive.
@@roadhousepress awesome! I may have to order some s.b as well since I was on antibiotics a couple months ago. Thank you for the insight on this. I myself will talk with my naturopathic doctor who specializes in herbs and natural remedies. I’ll let you know what information I can obtain.
Thank you Dr for sharing

@@claudiacastillo5898 I already have that in pill form, and in Cinnamon sticks. & Yes we love the ceylon cinnamon. Just bought a 7 oz bag of 100% Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Sticks from Jiva Organics on Amazon, and it is the best quality I have found yet, not cheap but worth every bit I spent.. It smells fresh compared to any other Ceylon I have bought.
