    Every doctor I went to told me my hemoglobin was good but I finally found one to listen. She sent me to a hematologist and my ferritin level was 6. Thank God my doctor listened. I’ve had 5 strokes and a heart aneurism. I have to get iron infusion every six months. I’m always tired. My Menstrual cycle last 5 days and are very heavy. I finally had a d&c and a iud. I have to go back next month to see if this is working.

    I probably had an iron deficiency for at least the last 10 years. I'm supplementing since a few weeks and it blows my mind how much energy I have now. Usually my day was more or less over when I came back from the gym. Now I actually have energy left to continue my day.

      Add very strong B6 vitamin (required in red blood cell production) and other B vitamin supplements to your daily routine. Best would be one strong supplement with high dosage of all of them. B vitamin is water soluable (like vitamin C) thus no risk of overdose, as the excess flushes off in urea.

    I have chronic anemia ( being treated ongoing) and no Dr. told me about mouth ulcers. I have a mouth ulcer on the inside of my mouth encroaching on my lip. It started out very small, but over 2 years it has grown significantly. I am now referred to a plastic surgeon for consultation. My family Dr. has not made the connection between my anemia and mouth ulcer. Thank you for the comprehensive analysis of low iron.

Good luck to all sufferers..

    Never knew canker sores are a symptom of low iron. I am anemic as well

    • @maarit986
      @maarit986 2 года назад

      Many people suffer symptoms of low iron and ferrit is the lab figure showing the real iron level in body, not hemoglobin. Many women, even young, suffer low ferrit without knowing it, mostly due to long (5-8d) and/or heavy menstrual bleeding and/or short period cycle. Some may also(/instead) have unhealthy "leaky gut" due to some illness or just wrong kind of diet.
      Another commentor shared her story of low iron caused by Hpylori bact. That was new info for me and when I checked if there are any dietary treatments for it, I found stylecraze pages with a new article of 11 Home remedies for treating HelicobactPylori. Seemed healthy delicious foods & ingredients. Maybe worth a visit, as even I found it useful, even though I don't have low iron anymore myself. Praying for better health for you🙏♥️

    • @maarit986
      @maarit986 2 года назад +1

      Canker sores are also showing defeciency of B vitamins. And B vitamins are needed in red blood cell creation too. They are water soluable vitamins (just like vit C) and can be taken as much/often you like/need, as the extra flushes off in urea. All vitamins are daily essentials for our health and our levels are too low due to the poor soil causing poor levels of vitamins&minerals also in our food.

    Thanks to this video, I went to the clinic and had lab drawn. Feeling... extremely exhausted...a feeling I usually get around the time of my menses...of late, my feeling of exhaustion hasn't disappaited when my period is over, but has lingered on endlessly. My lab showed low iron. After getting ferrous sulfate from the pharmacy, I came home and took my loading dose. Since taking it, I haven't craved either peanuts or dark chocolate, cravings I've had in overdrive of late. These cravings have broken my face out. Glad to be on the mend. Never a milk drinker has always contributed to anemia. Add dislike to red meats and I have found anemia a constant since puberty. Dark chocolate cravings and peanuts have had me gaining weight, add fatigue and my weight gain accelerates. Today, happy to feel better and have more energy. A woman who internalizes stress, stomach ulcers often occur for this girl. I am a sum of poor diet, poor rest of late, emotional stress, and a heavy bleeder during menstruation. I should have known without being reminded by this video, being a nurse. I always focus on my team and taking care of them and not myself. My body has been trying to tell me by increased bruising and poor healing when I receive a cut or scratch. Add the sxs of irritability and Fatigue and food cravings...yeah, I should pay closer attention... Thanks for your video,it was a red flag that said, "pay attention", God's messengers, my angels have been talking...through healers and information like this.

      @telmeeeh Год назад +2

      It seems to me that you're so nutrient deficient. Maybe you need to start changing your diet to a balanced one. You need protein from meat, organic is best, for sure. It will give you the B vitamins you need for your mood swings, protein and fats you need for your neurottansmitter and hormone production, iron and other minerals. If you menstruate heavily, then probably you have high estrogen due to high exposure on estrogen mimickers or endocrine disruptors like BPAs (plasticizers) through air, or food, these are difficult to eliminate so you need to eat your cruciferous veggies or you take DIM (preferrably with Calcium D-glucarate) to bind it and poop it out. Then, if you don't poop everyday, same thing happens. Those I mentioned can also help you bind the mycotoxins that molds produce, and mold infections are normally the culprit behind issues in the reproductive system which starts out as insulin resistance. Once you get mold infections you start having a lot of issues as it switches off your immune system. You can also do sauna bath, or exercise to sweat the mycotoxins out. God wants you to pay attention to what you eat because unknowingly, your diet destroys His temple in you.😊

I had to be rushed to the ER and they couldn't figure out was wrong with me and almost made it seemed as if I was faking. My parents had to keep me at their home for almost a week until I was able to go to my doctor, this was when covid had everything shut down. I was too tired to get up and do anything I thought it was the end for me, I have to take iron supplements along with eating foods rich in iron every other day or I start to become dizzy, my mom found out she has anemia, and so does my daughter.

      Start eating food with B vitamins and take everyday B vitamin product with high dosage of ALL B vitamins. They are water soluable vitamins (like vitamin C) with no risk of overdose, as the excess flushes away in urea.
      EspeciallyB6 is required in red blood cell production. B12required/essential daily in high doses for brains, memory & neurological functions, especially schoolchildren, students, "brainworkers" and elderly benefit greatly from it.
      Btw, Pure fish liver oil e.g. omega3 in it, is also excellent for brains, memory & concentration and can be ingested either as oil (even with lemon taste) or capsules.

    I am anemic and my son has g6pd enzyme deficiency which I found out I am a female heterozygote carrier and it skips generations and usually lands on first born son. It causes hemolysis if you have any trigger foods or substances like sulfa drugs or fava beans. We are Persian and eat fava beans seasonally. I didn’t know he had this enzyme deficiency which effects the red blood cells and when he had fava beans he almost died and needed 6 bags of blood and hemoglobin went extremely low and his lips turned blue and he was peeing the color of blood or “coca cola” because the bilirubin was also going crazy. It was a very scary event that led us to the hospital with him jaundiced and high fever and I knew something was very wrong and I was screaming bringing him to the ER saying that my child was dying so someone quickly could give him attention. The hematologist there instantly knew this was from fava beans and we just never would have known but fava beans really are deadly and hard to digest for even people without g6pd but others bodies and blood can recover the losses better so they don’t have reactions, but you can tell from your pee being darker sometimes. I personally won’t eat fava beans again after what they did to my son. We are anemic and we take iron supplements and try to eat more: dark turkey, apricots, dark chocolate, mushrooms, spinach, iron fortified cereals, red meat, liver, tuna, etc. I would not recommend fava bean consumption to anyone with iron deficiency or anemia in general unless you want to exacerbate the problem. There is a name for it and it’s called “Favism.” It is possible g6pd is in your genetics if you are showing up anemic and iron deficient. It’s something to look into if Mediterranean or Asian descent or African American.

    I had a myocardial infarction due to a low hemoglobin. I was only 50 years old. Had an angiogram that showed no blockage. Had a colonoscopy to look for bleeding, that wasn’t an issue. In the end my infarction was said to be due to low iron. It was 7.3, not to scary low, but my issue is my ferritin level is extremely low. I don’t understand why it is so low. Dr. Tested for the cause and said there wasn’t anything identifiable. Long story short I now have regular iron infusions. At least I know why I’m always exhausted and out of breath. Sometimes just talking makes me sound like I ran a marathon.

    HOPE SOMEONE SEES THIS AND HELPS ME, I have iron deficiency (self diagnosed from the symptoms and I have been a heavy flow since I started my period so I know that's the cause). This year I finally decided to get on some OTC iron supplements and my period not only got EXTREMELY HEAVIER! IT ALSO LASTED 14 DAYS! I thought these were just the first month side effects and continued and it just continued that way, when I stop them, my period goes back to normal but when I start taking them again, the problem persists. I have also tried Multi vitamins that have iron in them ( different brand too) but got the same results, It is so frustrating as I am trying to get better but it seems they make me worse. Right now I cannot afford to get blood tests as it is expensive and I am unemployed. What do I do ? Please advise.🙏

I had tried many medications too .the best one I had used is "Maharshi ayurveda,raktda" yes it is an Indian product it was really effective and the other thing I suggest is as much as possible go for healthy intake like Panakam( jaggery water ), 2 dates per day, green leafy vegies and egg ,meat etc....

      Maybe go off the iron pills one week before your period and see if that changes anything?
      From a scientific standpoint it is unlikely that the heavy bleeding is caused directly by higher iron.
      However iron does influence hormone production, they in turn influence the makeup of the uterus lining.
      It could also be that taking the iron makes you deficient in a different factor necessary for blood coagulation, though i don't know what that factor might be.

      If the bloating is in the upper part of the abdomen with pressure building up rather than just a lot of farts coming out, it is likely due to SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth). This can both cause iron deficiency or be caused by it.
      It can be checked by a gastroenterologist via a simple breath test, however treatment is difficult because it just won't work if it is not approached holistically.
