  • YOU DID IT 💕
Now that you completed the 5 Day Love Language Challenge, here are some questions for you:
What surprised you? Did you like one of the love languages more than you expected? Did you find yourself NOT wanting to do any of the assignments? Why not?
How did your partner respond? Was it how you wanted? Do you want to integrate any of these into your regular routine?
Now it's time to talk to your partner to learn what worked and what didn't. One of the best ways to discover your love language is to simply provide it and see what happens.
Most of all I hope you had fun with this, and that it started some new conversations to help you gain some insight into how you like to give and receive love❣️
You can always go back to the Playlist if you missed a day, ran out of time or need a little refresher.
This challenge is based on the research of Dr. John Gottman as well as Gary Chapman's book, The Five Love Languages, and my book, Love Is an Action Verb.

Since I'm married to another couples therapist, many people think that we do all the things we're supposed to do all the time, but news flash, we don't 😊Even though I created this challenge as an educator, I also completed it as just a person in a relationship trying to be a better partner, and I learned a lot from it. The first two days were the easiest for me, but the end of the week proved to be more impactful. I definitely had the most fun GIVING GIFTS. This surprised me, but it was just such a joy to show up with little things for all my family members when they didn't expect it. But it also required extra planning that obviously wasn't necessary for Day 1 and Day 2.
Acts of service took the most internal struggle for me, and tbh, quality time hasn't happened yet. We had house guests the day of the challenge. Maybe it's an excuse, but I didn't make it happen. I'm committed to looping back so we get the full experience of all 5 days.
What I liked most was the community aspect of everyone sharing what they did in the comments and supporting each other.
