  • 🥇You Did It!
Today is day 5 and the final day of the Love Language Challenge.
Quality time is a process of enjoying your partner's undivided attention. You'll choose an activity you both enjoy and commit to reduce distractions so that you can feel present and connected.
It doesn't matter what activity the two of you choose, as long as you are devoting your energy toward your partner and the activity you have chosen. For example, watching a movie together is quality time as long as you are not taking work texts as you go. Here are some more examples:
    ➡️ Go for a walk
➡️ Go out to dinner and talk
➡️ Sit outside with your favorite morninng beverage
➡️ Watch a movie together, holding hands
➡️ Read together and share your favorite parts
This challenge is based on the research of Dr. John Gottman which identifieds "Turning Toward" as one of the 7 Principles for Making marriage Work, as well as Gary Chapman's book, The Five Love Languages.

I hope quality time with myself counts because that is what I have gotten today and it feels truly lovely and rewarding. No doubt that if I had a partner I would make sure to enjoy some togetherness as a great opportunity for deepening intimacy, closeness and getting to know even more my significant one. I have always loved those moments!
    Again, thanks for the challenge!

Quality time with ourselves might be the ultimate challenge as self-care is challenging in an entirely different way. I try to go outside and just sit on my patio and do NOTHING. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's like giving oneselsf undivided attention! Thanks so much for sharing this and for finding a way to make this challenge work for you 💕

Absolutely! It feels exactly like that. Giving myself undivided attention so I know what it really means to be with another being and be able and willing to offer this type of attention that can be not only regulating but also healing. We all long for it, it is a very human need that we all have in common.
Thanks for your prompt and insightful responses and for guiding us through this beautiful challenge.
      I wish you well.
