Yeah you are right. Biggest boost you can get in learning a language if you can somehow get yourself into an environment where your brain is forced to comply. It most likely won't be pleasent experience for quiet a long time especially if you absolutely don't speak the language but eventually you'll pick it up. My chosen language was English when i was in primary school grade 3 back in the day. From that point on i learned English for 13 more years throughout all my education years. However past a certain point learning a language this way will no longer be helpful. If you lucky your hobbies and interests may rely heavily on the english language (videogames, movies, basically everything on the internet) and you become even more susceptible for it. But to be fair all this so called knowledge of mine went out the window when i moved to the UK cold turky sort of😂. I spent 2 years there i actually chose hardcore mode with West Yorkshire it turns out😅 Those 2 years of experience worth more language knowledge that everything before it combined. Doesn't mean much, if you notice or can understand they are saying nothing of significance. If she was actually fluent it just means you've been thrust into a situation where you have no choice. Its not they studied or learned the accents through voice & diction study.
Speaking fluent literally is acquired through practice & imitation which can't be done off Rosetta stone.

You can
For people who are wondering how this can be done. Listen… she lived in most of these places that speak the languages. It is very important when learning a language to actually be around the people who speak the language. Make it ALOT easier .
Good luck out there to those learning
Deffo go abroad if you really wanna learn a language 😉
Very impressive
It never ceases to amaze me when people emigrate to the UK or US and 3 to 4 decades later don't speak a word of English. Because it isn't important to them.
