Well i made same but magnet are weaker so the rpm is super high but torque is low I use those CPU fan magnet with this motor body and i reduce its length to half so motor can be handle even torque is low

Nice Demo of how it can be done, but pointless: the Brass bearing will wear out and the outer bell will start wobbling. Given the price of a real BL motor and a matching ESC to geht a higher efficiency factor than a cheap brushed using simple Control and Most probably this one (60-80% --> 90%), this approach doesnt pay, als you still need the ESC.

Many of these DIY videos claim, new BLDCs are expensive, buz on the other hand, there are countless of them available in harddisks, old floppy drives and optical drives, each of them better in some aspect than modding an old Mabuchi standard 380/480/540

Brushless motors have higher efficiency compared to brushed so lesser percent of the electrical energy transforms to heat...
Its ironic how he says to use a fan that uses a motor to cool down a motor.

They have a insulating coating layer.
