Phenomenal! Man when i grow up i wanna be like jaak ! Great job everyone.
Thank you, Ryan!
This is truly an amazing swim/pond Jaak! The pond, the waterfalls, the patio, all truly incredible! Well done guys!
Thank you so much, John :)
Oh wow, love it! What an incredible backyard playground for those kids. This was worth the wait.
Thanks, Drase
That tuned out great! So much better looking than a traditional backyard swimming pool!
Agreed! :D
Jaak and team, that is probably the top three, best pond I've seen you build!!!!
Thanks!!
A rec. pond for a family with four small kids seems like the best 20 year investment ever. The pea gravel beach looks like the best alternative to the 'sand' problems. This is the best rec. pond how-to that I've ever seen. And of course the art is the final congratulations.
Thank you so much!
Telio as is Greeks would say, TELIO!!! (PERFECTION FOR ENQUIRING MINDS, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION)
I would definitely choose this over a traditional pool. 100,000, 00 percent 🔥🔥🔥
It's so beautiful I love it
GORGEOUS!
It looks stunning!
Good job AWG team!! Really beautiful and relaxing pond
Thanks, Aziz!
Another amazing accomplishment! 😍😍😍🙂🙂🙂
Thank you!
atlast I've been waiting for the final part
Patience is key 😉
Hi Jaak.
How are you Sir?
You and the crew have done an awesome job. That RecPond is absolutely stunningly beautiful.
Like 398 is now up.
I hope you are having a great Week.
Take care Sir. 👍🙂❤
Thanks 💪
Jaak, this is EVERYTHING I’ve ever wanted in a rec pond. So family, pet and wildlife friendly. I so look forward to a year or two when you revisit. Bring Greg along; he’ll be a kid in a candy store!
One question. Can you have plantings in the skimmer bay?
Thanks! Yes, you can plant on the fringes behind the rock work
Dude that patio next to the pond is sick. Love the pond shape too. It's so non traditional.
Thank you!
Stunning 😍
I love it!!!
Just stunning. I absolutely love it as always 😍 well done everyone involved 👏 👍
This is exactly the set up I Love....Great job....Reminds Me of a Perfect Country Swimming Hole......Love what You do....8-)
Thanks Bobby!
Awesome. Everything has quality written all over it. 👌 I love your job 😆
Jaak what a rec-pond that truly looks like it was there originally had it not been for the pumps. Really love how you did the beach and slided it into stairs the rest of the way very clever!
You really need to come back after it’s landscape and matured.
The Atlantis Water Gardens 🧜🏻♂️ Team 🥇
Thanks as always, Tony! 💪
Absolutely incredible 👏
I wish it would fit in my backyard!
Another amazing creation! I know this family is going to enjoy it for a very long time!
Thank you, Linda

Thanks, Susan! Welcome :)
Love it awesome job brothers
Amazing, love the water fall, as usual spectacular, look forward to the next project.
💪
Stunning work. I have to say though, if it was mine the kids would have it for one summer ,and then it's mine and Koi are going in that " bad boy " 😃. Amazing job guys !
Lol, hold off until the kids are grown 😉
@@AtlantisWaterGardens 🤣 that might be too hard
🤣
First off, amazing work to all of the team at Atlantis Water Gardens. I have a plumbing question tho! On a small pond you connect your buried line into the back of a biofalls, but how do you run the plumbing for the wetland on a larger project like this? I don't think I've seen that on any of the builds yet. Hats off to you guys.
Great work as always!
Amazing
Thats is one awesome rec pond. That family will have many wonderful memories. Awesome job, guys!
Jaak,
This is awesome! This is definitely the one that we would like to mimic. We'll stay in touch.
yes we have been asking about plumbing for ages, 89% of the viewers want to see the plumbing on every project haha !!
Really? You guys don’t think plumbing is boring??!! 😜
That is a huge undertaking, and turned out magnificent! Love, love, love it! Great work guys!!!
And all that rain...just keep breathing in all those negative ions! 😁
Always rain! Haha
Wow that really turned out so beautiful. I really love how interactive it is and my God who wouldn't want something so gorgeous like this in their yard. Outstanding job y'all 👏 👏👏👏👏👏 God bless 😊 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks, Catherine 😁
❤️😘
You guys killed it I love the way it looks and I like how you give information about pumps and the Wetland filter and the amount of tons of Boulders you guys used did you ever get to go swimming and how much would something like that cost
Thanks James! We didn’t have time left to swim but we’ll be back! A project like this is about 200
Jaak, Can you leave that system running all-year-round or do you need to cover up the pumps with some kind of building???
Yea, most folks leave theirs running year-round. It really depends on what part of the country you're in. If it gets really cold, you'll want to add aeration to keep ice from forming.
💯💙🔥👍
Can you have your check valve closer to the pump? If the check valves fails will you have to dig it up?
What do you use to pack the joints on the blue flagstone? Basalt dust? Amazing project.
Love the pond, and all the projects for that matter! A true artist!
Do the pumps have to continuously run to keep the systems ready to go? I imagine they have to be run periodical to keep the system clean and functional? Like a pool cycles daily?
The wetland pump runs 24/7
Very nice project! Would it be possible to design this kind for Beach as wetland Filter or needs the wetland filter always be at the Start of waterfalls/River?
That’s totally doable
Jaak, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this rec pond!
But I have a question, what is the black rectangle in the bottom of your intake bay? Is that another layer of filtration?
Correct! More filtration.
next time show us how to maintain water level in a pond, tips n tricks
Laser Level 👍👍
Is the wetland filter the only filtration going on in a pond like this, or are there some sort of more traditional mechanical filters somewhere?
The intake bay skimmer and wetland filter along with circulation jets and aeration
Still learning here, lol! So can you put koi in a rec-pond or is it strictly for use as a pool? Another beautiful job! ❤❤❤
Yes you can!
wonder if you can run pond in winter to, i would think probably not right?
You can, you just have to make sure you have the right equipment.
Probably could’ve used the excess rainwater to prime the pumps with another pump? Did you end up swimming? Looks phenomenal, of course!
We ran out of time, of course!
What a work of art but I'm curious about 1 thing. I noticed that the aquablocks are visible in the intake bay unlike other water features on your channel. Was there a reason they weren't fully disguised?
That's a filter mat.
What aquatic plant do you recommend for northern climates like Michigan?
Hey Eugene, Water Lilies, Hyacinth, Hornwort, Horsetail and Water Soldier are a few that usually do well in colder regions.
Jaak, that pond Looks like it's going to overfill soon, do you have a low edge drain on it??? Do you have to use another pump to pump the water out? Certain times of the year my pond will get too much water in it I have a valve on the side of the Iowa falls to let it out, but I would like to use something different I have to go out in the rain to open it?? And I don't have a skimmer I have an intake bay. And my Backyards pretty flat!!!😢
The skimmer should have overflow detection.
With them pumps i thought there would be more water than that flowing
Don’t forget about the jets they are powering also
These external pumps are 1phase or 3 phase? Is it running on solar or electricity ?
1 phase electric
Did you get to take a swim? 😜
Of course not, we don’t get to have fun around here 😜
@@AtlantisWaterGardens I'd have stern words with the owner 🤣
If one had a budget of, say, $50,000, is something like this do-able?
As a DIY, it would be close if you were providing all the labor. Probably a bit higher than that though
How much
$185
Would a 150k get me this exact setup in saint Charles IL, if so please reply i'l reach out to you asap.
