Keep fighting her corner Kev, how dare these doctors play god with peoples lives! They have a duty of care to do all they can for her surely? Stay strong matey 🙏xxx
never a truer word said there you cant say sorry when there gone. your mum sounds like a fighter wishing you all the luck in the world, hope she gets stronger day by day xx
Last October my mum had to have 2 major operations because of a bowel obstruction. She's in her 80s and she survived both operations. It was that or nothing. I can't believe that they won't operate on your mum. Take care of yourself and your mum and dad x
Kev, sorry, I've only just watched this Vlog. I really hope your mum is on the best mend she can be on. I know where you're coming from mum passed with ovarian cancer boxing day 2005, and I kept my dad going for several years till Copd and dementia got him in 2013 day after valentine's and it still hurts I can't hug them anymore I tell them I love them to a photo daily. So Kev, stay strong. Look after yourself and your dad. Love and best wishes to you all xx
Kev I lost my mum 32 years ago she was 47, this video just took me back to the time she was in hospital, tears and wobbly lip watching this kid, hope she’s ok and my thoughts are with you and your family ❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻
Im a new subscriber I watched the bonfire build in Birkenhead sounds like your mum is a fighter keep doing what you are doing. Can’t you get a second opinion even if it’s a private consultation I know it will cost was just a suggestion. Stay strong.
My dad went through a very similar situation. The doctors convinced us to sign to put him on the end of life pathway. Fortunately his brother visited him and went barmey with the doctor and insisted that they took him off it and did something to help him. They relented and operated on him and took 2 pints of septic out of his bowel and gave him a colostomy. He lived another 5 good years. Doctors sometimes think that they are god.
I have been there mate. It’s so tough. Your uncle was right to argue the case. I did the same thing for my dad. He lived for another 10 years after he was taken off ‘pathway for the dying’ - basically starvation until they pass away. Dehumanising.
I just can't understand these Medics. They told you your mum wouldn't survive right, but what is there to lose. At least they would have tried. I really fear these days it's like they can't be bothered or it's to costly. Don't they realise to try is better than nothing. I am going to pray for your mum ,your dad & you. Please God help her & get her well.🙏 So heart wrenching to listen to this. 🙏🙏🙏 Please just get some advice maybe legal. Doctors don't always get it right your mum is the 2nd person this week I've heard told couldn't withstand surgery & only 70 yrs old. Please don't accept this. Praying for God to intervene and save your mum.🙏 Xxx
Kevin,we've just been through exactly the same with my mum in law,she had palliative care at home and was gone within 3 days, bless you mate stay strong for your mum, that must have been one of the hardest vlogs you've ever done and I'm feeling for you and your family ....good to hear all the other scouse vloggers are keeping an close watch on you Take care Carl x

Hella fella listen 👂 I totally get where you coming from your mum is a fighter. I had tears watching this can see it in your eyes 👀… I lost my dad in 2019 in the old royal hospital. And I seen him pass a way i was holding his hand. But listen don’t listen to people who bang on about why but it on RUclips it’s good to speak out and many will be able to relate with you. Chin up fella i enjoy watching your videos especially the homeless awareness.
Heart breaking to watch this Kev, I lost my mum who was 78 in January and never got the chance to say goodbye. Just a phone call from the hospital at 5am to say I needed to get to the hospital asap. She had actually passed away before they rang me. Please don't give up fighting and tell her every single day that you love her. I would give everything I own just to have my mum back for one day. I sincerely hope and pray that your lovely mum makes a full recovery and prove the doctors wrong. Stay strong mate.❤❤
Very Brave of you to talk abourt all of this kev i lost my Dad nearly 6 years ago and i'm lucky i have my mum i'm a carer myself so i know how hard it is big respect
Kevin try and stay strong, but don't bottle up any emotions. It's important to talk and sometimes share your feelings. I was in a similar situation. It's the feeling of not knowing and helplessness that got to me .If you fancy a coffee in town, let me know. I am always in town .
I Lost my dad in May this year kev, He worked on The Mersey Tunnels for over 30 years and got pulmonary fibrosis due to working below the tunnel as an engineer, Quite a few people have died from the same thing. He got rushed to hospital and pneumonia was his actual cause of death as his body was so weak due to pulmonary fibrosis, Sorry to hear about your mum.
That must have been the hardest video to make .My husband had a bowel obstuction body did not take food 6Days of begging for op he had a bowel resruction they removed the bad bit in hospital for 42 weeks had hicman line in for TPNfeeds . but he got there he was late twentys glad i did not let them withdraw line and meds he lived another 20 years after . they seem to be very reluctant do bowel surgery on poorly people it did take a year to get back to normal . I lost both my parents many years ago but close together it's so hard. Especially when you have to watch them slowly go and end up praying for them to go, out of pain. Life's never the same, I say you're never truly happy ever again. Take care and good luck.
KC Imageworks fight for your Mams life, she is clearly a fighter!! Get other opinions, keep pushing and don’t give up! Sending love and hugs you and your family will be in my prayers, stay strong xx
Thanks for sharing this Kev. I hoped it helped you in some way. A few years back and recently I can relate. No trurer words Kev, Life is short keep you loved ones close.
Huge respect to you for not only sharing your personal story regarding your mum, but also highlighting these doctors with their God complexes. Always ask questions and if something feels off, then challenge it. Not all doctors think they’re superior, but some do and they need calling out. I’m sending love and strength to your dear mum and to you and all the family. Belated birthday wishes also. Much love 💙💙💙
Kev, It’s one of those difficult times that we all know can happen but when they do, we are never prepared. It’s tough but stay strong and roll with the punches, do what you have to do and don’t let the little things get in your way. It’s hard when life throws the worst at us but no matter what, things always fall into place again. I’m 45 years old and this past five years, life has battered me, one thing after another but always remember who you are. You got this bro. All the best to yourself & your family and sending prayers for your Mum from Ireland. 👊
fuckin hell Kev xx u are all going through it. I nursed my mither in law at home. palliative care is caring with an end of life illness with no end date. Im glad that she ended the pathway package and discontinued it, as we all know what that package leads to. Well Done Kevs Mum. you fight girl xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx well done YOU kev for being a strong son for her. my heart goes out to you mate. Stay strong x
Sorry to hear about your Mum Kev, I had a similar scenario happen with my Dad a few years ago who was 84 at the time, he got rushed into Hospital with a suspected heart attack and three days later he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer which was a total shock to us all, I had to be the one who had to ask the doctor how long are we talking that he has left and all I can remember is him saying two and I replied with years and he said no two months maximum, my heart sank, his timeline was almost spot on as my Dad sadly passed away after seven weeks. Hope your Mum improves in her own time and can get back home before Xmas.
Keep strong and battle on Kev I had bowel cancer 5 years ago and my bowel stopped working after the operation they stopped my solid food and I was in the high dependancy unit for two weeks but it started working again and five years after wards I am still here aged77 🙏 you are all in my prayers lad🙏💙❤️
Sending love to your mum, you, and the rest of your family , thinking of you all , your mum sounds like a strong woman with all she's been through, you keep going girl ❤❤
Came across your vid & its struck at my heart. Sorry to hear you/yours are experiencing all this and your Mum is in my prayers. What else struck me is that YOUR VOICE need's to be heard. Your questioning everything and quite rightly so as if you had not asked question's your wee Mum would not be here !! This journey will end in what every way God has it planned but you will be able to lay your head on your pillow at night knowing YOU SPOKE UP ( you spoke up and asked questions for you Mum, like she did for you when you were small ( there will be no questions of l should have said this or done that ). The smiley doctor should be ashamed of herself ..but you can hold your head HIGH. Compassion, empathy & common sense will always go further than a degree in medicine as it has you feeling & asking questions problem solving and then digging into skill set, without the first 3 we only have skill set which is useless ! Sorry for length of comment. Massive respect & prayers.
Kev, really feel for you mate, it’s a tough time, question everything and challenge every decision, not from mistrust but because it’s your mum. I’m right with you, like so many on here. You’re a good guy and respect is all around you.
This just goes to show that the medical professionals don't know everything! It's so frustrating when you get to a certain age & they refuse to operate. I lost my mum to cancer 10 years ago & its one of the hardest things we ever go through. Sending you & your family lots of strength & love to get you through this . I agree about life being too short & we need to make up with people before it's too late. ❤️
Ah! Kev, so desperately sorry for what is happening with your mum, I pray she gets the care that she actually needs. It is always good to question a diagnosis, get second even third opinions (it really does make a difference in their care). You’re a good son. My 87yr old mother is also in hospital with a severe leg infection and chronic kidney diseases, progress is slow and unknown, 3 weeks ago she was very active for her age but she had since been going down fast, at the moment she is stable [but not eating enough]. Whatever happen, her life is going to change dramatically and I am not sure if she is ready for that, my mum is so-so very proud and stubborn and her heart is strong. Thank-you for sharing your story, do hope it helps you somehow as it has help me and other to come to terms with a parent coping will illness at a critical age (we often feel so alone at such times). Bless you, your mother, family and siblings and don’t ever feel bad about sharing your valid feelings here, remember YNWA mate.
Ow Kev sorry to hear your mam has been going through this my thoughts are with you your mam dad and the family keep strong kev I see your at one of my fav peaceful places new brighton 🙏🏻
The smug medics treating us as disposable, playing God. No consistency. Your advocacy for your mother is vital. You are a good human. I wish these Doctors could see our humanity. We are valid because we exist. How dare they write your mum off. Happy belated birthday, may the drs attitudes change & gift you more valuable time with your mum.
Back in 2004 my Mum went through a very similar bowl condtion to your Mum. She had an emergency, lengthy operation, followed by a period in intensive care. Then second operation to remove a section of the bowl. She was given a 50/50 chance of survival. And survive she did. Mum passed away in 2012 to none related health issues. Just to say there is always hope . Thoughts with your Mum a your family
That's just fuked me up watching that, I'm so so sorry for you Kev, and the family. God knows how you stayed strong putting that video up, God bless your mum, dad, you and all the family. Take cate of yourself, your dad needs you mate, stay strong 💪
Hi kev I am sorry to hear about your mum keep up the fight for your mum she seems like a real fighter god bless to you and your mum and the rest of your family
Don't you dare apologise for this being too long. We follow you because you're like family and we will share your problems and listen. You stood brave in that hospital and took on the drs ❤ I hope your mum's feeling loads better. At least she got to see you on your birthday 😘😘😘⛅
Omg Kev really feel for you and your family your very brave so is your mum this is making me cry to it’s horrible lost are mum 20 years ago still roar to this day Kev you don’t know where you get the strength from it’s like you just go on auto pilot live the videos you do don’t ever stop lad ❤ it’s horrible I know exactly where you are coming from brave you are just like your mum thinking of you all ❤️🙏🙏🙏
Oh mate feel for you. Don't know how you kept it together there, maybe you're a fighter just like mum. I really do hope somehow she makes it all through this. I've been going through similar with my mum. She was in hospital for 6 months, back home now and has carers. OK days and bad days. Mine like yours has many health issues. It's hard to watch as they have gone through decades bringing us up when some things were much harder back then. The emotional attachment to it all just knocks you for six. Thoughts are with you and keep an eye on dad as he'll be up the wall worrying about her, and you. Keep strong, just like mum....🙏
great video kc my heart goes out to you buddy its so brave of you to put this video up godbless you and your mum really hope she pulls through take care buddy and be strong :)
Just sat down and listened to the whole video. From a stranger to another sendingvall my well wishes to your mum and all the family at this time. Mum sure sounds like a fighter x
I'm so sorry to hear your news. Your mum sounds so lovely. I can't believe the logic of the doctors. The surgery success rate at 38% is pretty high considering they were saying the success rate of her not having the surgery was virtually 0%. But it seems like not having the surgery has been the luckiest option so far and I'm hoping she pulls through and she watches many more of your videos. She's very proud of you.
Wow I am very familiar with this situation kev . My story is mum goes in hospital Monday came to ours for a meal. Dead by Friday didn't even know she was that bad. Unfortunately for me it's a very familiar story as care gets withdrawn if it gets to expensive to treat patients. You was very lucky with your mar. ❤good luck as the rabbi would say you can only talk to the living.
Devastating, Kev!! I’m not a particularly religious person but I’m religious enough to pray for your mother 🙏🙏 You were right to challenge the doctors; unfortunately 50% of them are just plain incompetent! That’s what happens when the NHS is underfunded for years and the really good doctors in the UK leave for the US, Australia, New Zealand and Canada! Take care, mate and I’ll keep watching and praying!
I'm sorry to hear this mate. I lost my mum five years ago when she was 49. I'd do anything for one more day with her! My thoughts are with you, your mum and your family ❤
Kev, I can see how much you are hurting. I really hope everything works out. Miracles do happen. If you need any help with anything, please ask. I’m not too far away from you and I really mean that. Your mum is right, keep the videos coming, she’s so proud of you.
Hi son I am deeply sorry and pray for your dear mother not good been there not good at all. I had to say to myself she is not suffering any more. Sending my love and hugs 💗🤗
I'm really sorry to hear this fella. Sounds really stressful with the mixed messages, I can't begin to imagine how you're feeling inside. Mums are really precious 😥 Hoping the situation improves 🙏🙏🙏
Kev I lost my parents whilst still a Baby in '72. My Grandparents on my Dad's side brought me up. However they both passed away over 20 years ago and I fought for them just as you're doing now. Life has a way of returning the favor, it's not Calmer. I did my caring for 2 years between home and hospitals too and I went to ground to try and cope with the stress. Hope it all works out for the best and yes it's hard work sometimes,
Big hugs to you Kevin and family hope everything goes well with mum, it is ture what you say they are not with us for very long and time does go quick so cherish them why they are here. Love to you Y.N.W.A ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ahh kev, sending you all best wishes mate to your family, I was at the new royal yesterday regarding a kidney review as I have stage 5 failure I'm 40 and always been athletic, got the failure through hypertension, basically they explained how long a kidney transplant from living or dead person will last me, basically because of my age ill be going through it again later in live. Best wishes 🤞
Keep fighting her corner Kev, how dare these doctors play god with peoples lives! They have a duty of care to do all they can for her surely? Stay strong matey 🙏xxx
I'm so sorry to hear that, l don't see why the surgeon can't give her a fighting chance .
Stay strong lad. No one will question you putting this up. Mums are the most important person in a man's life
never a truer word said there you cant say sorry when there gone. your mum sounds like a fighter wishing you all the luck in the world, hope she gets stronger day by day xx

@ the pathway my dad was on was a morphine driver that slowly increased the dose until death but luckily the doctor was wrong.

Kev, really feel for you mate, it’s a tough time, question everything and challenge every decision, not from mistrust but because it’s your mum. I’m right with you, like so many on here. You’re a good guy and respect is all around you.
So sorry to hear this. Very sad. Your Mum and Dad and yourself are in my thoughts and prayers. Big hugs to you all. Xx
Hope you are ok. You’re a good man, obviously brought up right!
Sending you lots of love and wishing you're mum a speedy recovery X
I’m so sorry for your mum mate… all our Love from my family to yours ❤️❤️🙏🙏
Sorry that your mum is going through this. And you and family Keep fighting for her

God bless you and your Lovely mum❤Xxx

Sending you all prayers
Honest kev xxx true soul x
so sorry kev...i really hope your mam pulls through and proves them all wrong....aal the best kev...
Thoughts to your lovely mum good man 👍👍👍
I'm so sorry to hear your news.
I’m not a particularly religious person but I’m religious enough to pray for your mother 🙏🙏
You were right to challenge the doctors; unfortunately 50% of them are just plain incompetent!
All best wishes to you and your family at this difficult time Kev. Enjoy every second with your dear mum
That's nice she is there for your birthday mate
God bless all your family kev
Sorry to hear about your mother thoughts and prayers
