If you won't open up, do a couple interviews a year and have people look them up until there's something new on the table. She's going to be around for at least 30 more years so I guess it doesn't matter in the long run. We'll get to know her eventually.

I remember back when I was taking my documentary class at The Art Institute of Atlanta back in 07, and one of the groups in my class was filming a documentary about the neo soul movement in Atlanta, and I remember them filming her. She has come a long way, happy to see she has made big moves.
Actually, she was out of high school and in ATL like Ebro said. Janelle and Andre clearly share certain influence, which is probably the reason for the similarities.
I’m sooo happy for her to be blessed enough to collaborate with such a great like Prince. I have a strong feeling that some of what he taught her allowed he to be more comfortable with being herself in the industry. Look at the greats like Prince and MJ. Their music never fit into one genre. I’d be funk, it’d be r and b and something else all at the same time. That music that innovation is part of what made them great. I can imagine that Prince let her know, the best thing to be is yourself (as cliché as it sounds).
