Saw them at the Masonic temple in Toronto in 1983 and as a musician, they were absolutlely spot on and if I closed my eyes I felt I was listening to the East Side Story Record! Brilliant is an understatement! Wish music today had the artistry and writing proficiency that Tillbrook Difford had!
A masterpiece nothing less! The songwriting of Difford and Tillbrook are compatible to Lennon and McCartney. Still great after decades of fabulous dedication.
Wow! They’ve still got it! Last show I saw at The Orpheum was Simple Minds a handful of years ago. Had I known about this show, I would have loved to have been there. Thank you so much for uploading! Still loving and living Roq of the 80s!
And 40 years disappear, just like that. .the DJs final spin, the last call from the bartender, the last turn around the dance floor, where to go for breakfast, good times. .
Love Glen's voice but I think he musta had a bit of throat there looked like he was struggling a little! Still it didn't detract from the song....it happens sometimes!
“Get some bongos , timbales, cymbals, you now percussion stuff and come on tour with us, it’s one big piss up……. Don’t matter mate no one will hear you anyway”.
It’s how he is, amazing drummer tho’. I was at Cardiff a few years ago with Yolanda on bass. Simon Hanson was showboating a bit much and too early in the gig, Difford turned and gave him a look, could see in his face he got the message and eased off.
Yolanda Charles on Bass awesome
His singing voice is still that of a young man. Always love this tune.
People do'nt often mention what a sensational lead guitarist glen is
Superb guitar player.
Glenn is as underrated as it gets. He’s amazing
His solos are really, really melodic and complement the song instead of saying “Look at my solo!”
i know it is kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good site to stream newly released movies online ?
@Lian Benton Flixportal :D
Stellar lyrics, hooks and riffs galore, killer vocals...it's Brit power pop with bursts of jazz and blues, and still fresh 40 years later!

And the fact they got away w/turning this cockney lyric into a pop smash still blows my mind 40 years later. They got the last laugh!

When they last played in San Francisco, they held a meet & greet after the show. They were all very friendly and signed our CDs.
Glenn: Could you drop by my house and show me the chords to this one? I'll buy lunch.
Brilliant love squeeze, takes me back, Glen is a great guitarist!

❤ the Orpheum. Saw Bad Co there back in the day. Nothing is more real than a small venue!
KROQ - nice reference
Fantastic spot on performance....as good as the record or even better perhaps....great band.
Wonderful little guitar solo! Always leave 'em wanting more.
The tempo and I especially love the way the song starts…just magic.

I had a blast at this show. So good.
Great audio! Thanks for uploading this. I really wish I could’ve gone to see them last year.
Sounds just as good as the 80’s
And 40 years disappear, just like that. .the DJs final spin, the last call from the bartender, the last turn around the dance floor, where to go for breakfast, good times. .
I had such a crush on Glenn Tillbrook in the 80’s. 💕
Still amazing!! They are timeless.
So glad they had the good sense to see through all the bullsh!t and get together again before all this covid bolloxs, hope they do it all again.

A great song about sex!
Wait, who is that on keyboards to the left (not the soloist)? It looks like David Gray???

WTF is John Lydon doing on the drums?
Is the drummer over-drumming the song?
It’s how he is, amazing drummer tho’.

he sounds the same
Glenn Tilbrook is God.
Man getting old sucks. Look at Tillbrook. Guy was like Adonis, once.
HORRIBLE SONG !!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮
