    I'm with you on the mustard/ketchup! You make your burgers exactly the way I like mine. Great video!! 👍

    The only thing I would have done different is place the hamburgers on a plate, then take the buns and place them face down in the pan and sear them a bit. Once the bun is warm and you have a bit of colour, proceed exactly how you have done. I'm going to try tonight.

      Exactly this! I’m put the burger buns on the the pan to toast them a bit. I use either butter or mayo

    lol Chef Irvine told me on Wednesday never use 80/20... literally the first thing he said when he looked at my recipe for Sutter Home's Build-A-Better Burger contest entry that I'm making on Monday. I was all... I know, my wife chastised me enough when she found out I put that in for my recipe. But, after making it so much in the last week up to the event, everyone has loved it. I'm making my burgers in a cast iron skillet, which brought me to this video for some last minute tips prior to the competition.

    This saved my life, my mom decided to let me cook the burgers while everyone else was out doing things.
    I have no idea what’s cooked and what’s not. This.Saved.Our.Stomachs.
    Thanks for the video! Definitely subbing!

    yum! isn’t olive oil not recommended for cast iron skillet though, since olive oil becomes carcinogenic when cooked high

    I don’t see why everyone adds so much salt to everything. You’ve taken a delicious low-sodium burger and covered it in salt!

    • @blackdiamond7708
      @blackdiamond7708 6 месяцев назад

      Sodium is an important element our bodies need. I ended up in the ER due to hyponatremia (low Sodium in blood).
      If we eat clean ie very few processed foods, we may need to get adequate Sodium intake via supplementation -- adding salt to foods, drinking water, etc.

      @@robertaylor9218 you’re being dramatic if you need to throw something away.
      You can get a scale for $20 and they help every meal forever. Once your budget allows it you should invest in one.
      Then again, seems like all you want to do is argue so I’m gonna go do something better with my time
