We did this trip in 1989 with a Chev Nomad, Ford F150 bakkie, Range Rover and a Hilux. I remember the extremely sandy roads and we had to get the "donkey" going at camp for the shower facilities.
That was great, just leaves me in a small dilemma, I can’t fit it into our trip 😢. Botswana was relentless hard driving through Moremi and Chobe, (winter in the wet) so much so that their was no time to stop and see anything, apart from the elephants crossing the tracks 👍 well done Nick, I hope you get back on the road soon.
I get what you are saying....those long days in the thick sand in Botswana😞 but yes, if you dont have time this can be skipped, also cause the game is quite difficult to see
Nice video. Thanks. I was wondering how you found people to travel with you. I will be visiting the area in late November and would like to see the park, but only have one vehicle.
Hello Nick. Ons het mekaar gekry in die park. My kar het redelik van daai tattoos op. Ek het die Duitsers ge eskort tot by die teer. Hul het so halfpad papwiel gekry maar ons het spaar op gesit. Jou weer by Divundu gesien in die verby ry. Mooi loop. Dupie
Nice video. Thanks for the useful info. Just wondering. How long was the drive from Roy’s rest to Tsumkwe, Tsumkwe to the South Gate, and South Gate to Dussi waterhole? Thanks!
Its very difficult to give you times because Im forever stopping to take pictures and make videos. What I can tell you is that it is a very easy drive on a good gravel road from Roy's to Tsumwe and the same goes for Tsumkwe to the souther gate of the park. And then in general the south of the par is far easier to drive than the north.
@@NickfrNamibia I guess we will be stopping to take pictures too ;) But thanks! I guess we will drive into Sikereti from Grootfontein, stay for two nights in camp to do a tour throughout the south of the NP, stay for a night in Tsumkwe and then on to Botswana. Thanks!
jine great vid !! se my watse tyd van die jaar jy gegaan? ek was al baie da gewees ma nog nooit soo groen gesien nie !!!! altyd saam my ouers gegan toe ek op skool was... ek dam nou ytyndelik my eie 4x4 en kan my eie tyd gan !
Nice! My planned Namibia visit next year is partly fueled by your videos. The only error I noticed here was your claim that you're "not exceptionally attractive nor entertaining".
100 for foreigners! Madness, these parks really need to sort out their pricing, we r now going into a global economic crisis and its not going away and going to hit Africa even harder and these silly people want to price out foreigners!
Nice trip, nice companion and a really nice campsite. Was a pleasure meeting you ✌🏻. All the best for your upcoming trips.
Greaaaat video. This is the perfect mixture of information, landscape, some animals, music and humor 😊😊😊
Thnx Michael🙂

still have the donkeys and sandy roads😁
Again a great video! And another beautiful place on our list we have to visit! 👍 Thank you very much Nick!
Thanks Paul. It should be on your list. Met some Swiss people this morning on their way there. They are very excited to be going.
Paul I accidentally deleted your comment on the new video🙈
Love the comment about restoring the road to its blocked state. 😂Gotta leave things the way you found them.
😂🤣exactly
I hear that park for the first time !!
not as popular as the other ones in Namibia, because it is not easy to visit
Been there on North side ... the greatest!
😮wowlove the bushtatoos
Awesome Nick. Definitely on my bucket list. Safe travels mate
Thanks Bruce. Taken me a long time to get it off mine, but glad i did. Have fun in Zim!!!
@@NickfrNamibia thank you bud. Hope we can meet up sometime.
I’m Kwai area in August. Maybe then?
Aijaiaji...... i played as kid in sekireti..... so love that place
Thanks buddy been following you for sometime, now I've seen more places I've never been. It's crazy now i feel like i been to khaudum too 😅😅😅

Hey nick i really enjoy your videos👌
Thanks Simon!

I found the German dad and his son in the Tsumkwe campsite. But usually I do solo trips
Hi Nick. Loved the vid of this under rated gem. What time of year was it? We are looking for places to visit in February in a 3.5t 4x4.
Great video. What tyre pressures were you running?
Thanks Regan. 1.4/1.5 if I remember correctly...
I really would like to some solid off-roading in a Land Cruiser 79 series dual cap, I would really enjoy it

Yes ek onthou, het julle in Divundu gesien, probeer waai dat julle moet stop... Hoop julle toer nog lekker
Love the Bush Tattoos :)))
😂 Frank needs a polish now to get rid of them
@@NickfrNamibia Nope, be proud of them :)

@@rutgerrr that would be easy to do. Park starts getting rough about halfway up
@@NickfrNamibia Yes, that's why I'm so happy I found this video! We will be travelling solo so not taking chances with deep sand and so on :)

Dankie Jandre. Ek was 2 weke terug daar. Mos baie gereen in Namibie hierdie jaar, maar gelukkig nie te veel water in die park gekry nie

you should have seen me 10 years ago😂 glad the videos are helping and hope you. have an amazing stay in Namibia
Make sure you have a decent map as we find the road signs a bit confusing.
It is. For info there is a webiste with beautiful downloadable pdf maps: khaudum.com.na/download.pdf
Fun fact I am the son of the person who owns sigarati camp for a good amount of time
Henry's son?

N$100, that is US$6.50, dont think that is to bad....

Silly people is way overboard, while not even confirming in which currency that price is.
