    Thank you for the video. I am actually going to Tsumkwe next year to look up some acquaintances from 25 years ago, bringing all the photos from then. Your videos fill a special niche in that they focus on information for the traveler. We don't need to see another elephant or lion as with all the 100s of other videos.

    When you reach a country like Angola for example, the fuel there will wear out some parts of your engine block; you might even have to replace the whole thing when you reach Windhoek again.. not to mention the tyres and shocks, there's so many cons than pros- you are one hell of a brave guy!

    In 1989 we visited Khaudom with 4 vehicles : A Chev Nomad, Ford F150, Toyota Hilux and a Range Rover. I remember that it was so hot and sandy that the Nomad's starter solenoid "het sy gat gesien". We had to push start the Nomad the entire trip. Was a great experience. We lived in Khorixas in the 80's. Greate memories.

    Great video Nick! My experience with the country lodge was not that good. I stayed there several times (in their rooms), and the quality went down each time until I decided NEVER again. I'd rather camp at Roy's than stay at this lodge.

    1st time seeing that route to Tsumkwe. I heard months ago from Roads Authority that they in process of appointing a contractor to tar the gravel Road from Grootfontein-tsmukwe junction to Tsumkwe. .

    Hallo, weet jy of mens as dagbesoeker by Khaudom kan ingaan? Geniet jou trip...

    • @NickfrNamibia
      @NickfrNamibia  2 года назад

      ek glo mens sal kan. Jy sal dan net park fooie betaal vir n dag. Daar is nie baie wild in die suide nie en in die noorde is die paaie maar rof.
