Hi. Are these stations on line? I'd love to tune in. Being connected to the radio industry I swear one day I'm going to broadcast SRV for a month solid.
Been a Stevie Ray fan since the early 80’s. Hands down the most talented guitarist I’ve ever heard. I suggest you watch his recorded concerts. You won’t be able to stop staring at his hands.
funny you say that, this is from a pretty early show (83) and if you watch the whole show... some of the crowd seems annoyed he is playing, they had no idea what they were part of
He is the only well known person (celebrity if you will ) who I actually cried when he died. I wrote his mother( Mama V) a letter about a year after he died, to encourage her...I never dreamed she would answer the letter, but she did. Sent me a short note saying some letters so touched her she just felt she had to reply. I cherish it to this day.
BB King once said about Stevie: to play the Blues means being black twice, and Stevie missed out on both accounts, but BB didn't notice. BB King was like a father to Stevie just like so many of the great Black Blues players Albert King and Buddy Guy just to name a few that Stevie worshiped and was influenced by.
I was at his show at the Elmo back in the mid-80's. Hearing this more than 35 years later still brings me to tears! Visited his crash site last year at alpine Valley Ski Resort in Wisc. A little quiet plaque up near the top of the hill. RIP Brother Stevie!!
Stevie was indeed a force to be reckoned with, RIP. I've had the pleasure of playing with Double Trouble, his band, a number of times. They are all the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. Stevie was a unique guy, who's shoes I'll never fill, but he definitely left his mark on the music world.
Wow you must be a talented musician 👏! I got to meet Stevie twice, he had the biggest hands ✋️ I'd ever seen on a small guy. I mean he wasn't very tall! But man could he play!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
@Philip Carrell don't feel bad, S.R.V. made Eric Clapton consider not playing guitar anymore, because he knew that no matter how long, or how hard he'd practice, that he would NEVER be as good as Stevie was! I shook his hand on 2 separate occasions, and it'd been a few year's in-between, he remembered me, and asked if I'd quit riding bull's. I was in a wrist cast the first time, he actually signed my plaster cast, my mother wouldn't let me keep the stinky cast, it'd been on me for almost 10 week's, and was rather pungent! But he somehow remembered me, and I'd grown alot taller in the span of our hello's, I was 6'4" the second time. And this time, my hand's were bigger than his we had done the palm to palm measurement the first time after he asked about instruments that I played, I played alto saxophone 🎷and tuba, in Jr high and self taught some piano 🎹, and my father played guitar. The first time our hand's were almost the same size, but the second time, my hand's were bigger than his, he found great joy in the fact that my hand's had grown larger than his were. Then he started talking about how big hand's allowed him to play the guitar with his thumb on certain chords. Then someone came and rushed him away to do something else, that was probably more important than chatting with some goofy kid who loved hearing him play music, and sing. I really enjoyed the moments of time he spent with me, and somehow I felt that he would have talked with me for a much longer time if he didn't have other stuff to do. Now I don't REALLY know if that would have happened, but that's the energy that I felt. I wonder if he measured hand's with other people, but it sure made an impression on me. I'd never met a star before the first time, and had met other celebrities, but none seemed as genuinely kind and as down to earth as he was. Perhaps I caught him on a good day both time's, but he really seemed like a nice guy. I've heard the stories about the fist fighting, and drug use, but I feel that inside was a gentle and understanding human being! Did you ever see 👀 S.R.V. do the palm to palm thing with anyone?..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠

This was an amazing reaction!!! SRV is by far my all time favorite!!! I clicked so fast when I saw you were reacting to him. And oh yes!!!! Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland as well as Life Without You live from The Capitol Theater is absolute must see!!!
When you get a chance you gotta check out “life without you live at capital theater” by Stevie the guitar playing is next level. Also Stevie and BB King played together a lot BB considers Stevie the greatest guitarist of all time.
Lucky to have seen him 3 times in concert. The first time warming up for BOSTON (weird billing). Never heard of him at the time, but it was one of those "OMFG, who is this guy?" moments.

Thank you for checking out SRV. 🙌🏼 SRV never learned to read music and played with all his heart and soul from around age 7, up to the very night he passed way too soon in 1990. He and his family were not too well off (father a traveljng Sales man) and they had to move every few months. He started playing guitar in bars by age 14 at night and couldn’t stay awake in class, failing. His music teacher gave him an F! 😂 He dropped out of high school at around 17 and moved to Austin (the biggest music scene in TX then and now) and delve full time into playing in clubs and immersed himself into rock and primarily blues (he and his brother constantly listening to blues growing up). You said a few things that fell right in line with SRV. One, Stevie’s last concert was with Eric Clapton and a few other great players, including his brother Jimmy. (It is rumored that Clapton was a bit intimidated by SRV as was Copeland because they both knew SRV could outplay them)…. But I honestly believe SRV was too humble a man to do that to them. SRV was just happy to have the privileged to share the stage with them. He also played very early on in his blues career with both BB King and Albert King (Once SRV was allowed on stage with them in clubs, they loved SRV…. And he loved and admired them and Jimmy Hendrix. Unfortunately SRV passed in an after concert helicopter crash, while heading to another concert, along with a few other members of Clapton’s crew. I feel so lucky to have seen him and BB King play at a Jazz festival in the 80’s. Anyhow, highly recommend LIFE WITHOUT YOU, at Capital Theater and Voodoo Child (his dedicated admiration to Jimmy Hendrix. SRV bought Hendrix’s foot petal for concerts. Also Riviera Paradise is beautiful acoustics and last Living Life By The Drop - recorded but not released until after he passed. Always loved and most certainly never forgotten. We love you SRV! ✌🏼❤️
Stevie Ray Vaughan was one of the greatest, but so was Jimi Hendrix. If you watch Stevie Ray Vaughan playing his guitar most of the time he had his eyes closed and like the music just came out of his soul his heart.
🦋To mark the event of Thanksgiving in 1972, B.B. King played what he would call his best ever live performance years later when he reminisced upon his spectacular show at New York's maximum-security Sing Sing prison, an event that saw King show the true power of music by introducing the blues to prisoners.Sep 16, 2020 B.B. King said this was his greatest live performance ever
This show was just one month after his first album was released. His band played clubs on the "Chitlin Circuit" in the South, but this gig was in Toronto Canada, so it's likely that most of this crowd had never seen or heard him before. 😳🤯
SRV is the GOAT..... playing by "feel", innovative, blending several styles/techniques...and the unmatched speed with accuracy...even other greats admit they felt like beginners on stage with him
The crowd knew. SRV was a frequent visitor to Toronto and had a considerable following there. Most of us saw very similar performances many times. It is a shame he passed before the world realized how great he was. What got to me was the massive thickness of the guitar strings.
🦋 And now I know who Keb’ Mo’ is and my weekend is off to a great start thank you so much. Much love and many blessings and for your time putting these videos together.💖
You absolutely need to see BB King and friends doing That's Why I Sing The Blues. It will disrupt your day. BB King with..... Stevie Ray, Eric Clapton, Albert King, Etta James, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, AND MORE..... a must see!
You said that if you closed your eyes you'd think you were listening to a burly black blues man. He didn't look it but he sure sounded it. Another thing, Stevie Ray used that Stratocaster almost exclusively when he played and by how beat up it is he played it incessantly. He named it "Lenny" after his longtime girlfriend and wife Lenora. She helped find the money for the guitar he came to love so much. Also, Stevie was maybe 135 lbs. soaking wet but his hands were amazingly strong for a little guy. Strat's are usually played with .08 to .10 strings. Pretty standard for solid body guitars But Stevie used .13s. That's a gauge usually reserved for an acoustic Dreadnaught. Obviously, he made it work. Killed in a plane crash in 1990. He'd been free of a really bad opioid habit since 1986. From Oak Cliff, Texas. Dead at 35 from an airplane crash, there's no telling what he'd be doing now. One of the greats.
Helicopter crash, not a plane crash, leaving his last show that included Eric Clapton and Robert Cray. He used regular gauge on the bass strings. He also downtuned to fatten up the tone from the heavier than usual high strings.
Yo man! Love your reactions! Take a look at this one if you want to get a good look at a couple of greats together. Don't Lie To Me Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan. You're gonna love it. Have a great day!
I saw him in the 80's in Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens opening for Robert Plant. Definitely the envy of my friends for sure. lol Epic show. Best show ever.
Awesome reaction !!! B.B. King used to say that you have to be black twice to sing the blues but he never noticed with Stevie. I was lucky enough to see him live in 1985 at the capitol theater, if my mom knew where I was I would still be grounded. You should really take a look at With out you at the capitol theater Passaic NJ.
Eric Clapton was borderline intimidated by SRV. He said something to the effect that SRV would make non-musicians want to take up the guitar and would make professional players want to quit.
If you are looking for great guitarists from the 1960s and '70s be sure to check out Johnny Winter (who was the first rock musician to get a million dollar signing bonus from a record label) and Roy Buchanan who's style in one-of-a-kind..
SRV is the GOAT. No contest. The guitar is like part of his body. It's natural that he can play behind his back and sing like he was born to do it. He was.
Speaking of heavy set black men, one of the greatest guitarists, BB King, said that "Stevie Ray was the blackest white man he'd ever met"!😁🎶🎸🎵 There is a video of them playing together and you gotta-do it!🎸🎶
I saw Him at James L Night Center in Miami and in Sunrise Fla twice at the Musical theater. We were burning out back before the show and Here comes this Cadillac I don't know what year it was but it had the big wings on the back And in the Cadillac was Stevie ray and Double Trouble. Ill always remember him Rolling down the window and saying you fellows alright. And then he said Remember Hugs not drugs! Well you better believe that concert was awesome🫵
Stevie Dan play music, Stevie was music. One thing about this song. When Stevie found out the guy that wrote the song wasn't getting royalties he took it out of his own pocket to give it to him.
Loved your reaction! It made me so hungry that I had to get dinner 😂. Stevie was friends with B.B. King, Albert King, and many other Blues greats. B.B. King on the channel? And a marathon of greatest guitarists? Yes please! 😊
you said 2 or maybe 3 times pausing the video, maybe six. i think you spoke too soon. That was 11 times pausing the video and 27 times talking over it. I appreciate that you really liked the video and chose to react to it. I hope you will continue to react to Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I shook BB King's hand. Was like 19 when SRV died. Broke Into a Simpsons episode after the 10pm news and reported it.all us guys, all musicians, cried.
I got to see him play many times, twice with BB King. The second time BB made him play last, refused to follow him. Stevie was kind of embarrassed, and a few people in the crowd were saying who does this young hotshot think he is, thinking he can play after the great BB King? Stevie called BB early to come out, and BB King announced that this was HIS show, he does what he wants, and he wants Stevie to close the show. “Everybody give Stevie all your love and respect.” And everyone did. Stevie never would have presumed to play last otherwise.
BRO! BRO! You didn't have to stop it right as he began to sing. . .I know, I know, you thought your reaction at that moment was so damn important you just had to stop a masterful performer to let us know he's a great guitarist. . .We already knew that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should check out the video of famous guitarists commenting on Stevie Ray like: Albert King, BB King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and others. Dude was a virtuoso!
The best guitarist of the 80's was definitely SRV. Absolutely no contest there. Probably the best guitarist we have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
Stevie Ray actually played with B. B. King, Albert King, and the list goes on and on! My favorite video with extra guitarists is: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Paul Butterfield, B.B King all playing together! EPIC! I listed their names in that order, because the video had them that way, so it will be easier to find. RIP Stevie.
Welcome to the party Brother! You have opened the door on a rabbit hole you must go down... please 😉 Try the track, "Willie the Wimp" next you won't be disappointed. Spread the love 🐶😎🇺🇸
How good was SRV? Born in 61. By 75-76, he was playing with 2 bands in the Austin circuit...not an easy place to be a blues artist! And he's 15-16 years old! So SRV starts his own band in 79-80, SRV and Double Trouble. Eventually, David Bowie hears about him and is blown away! Has SRV play guitar on his monster album, Let's Dance! Also in 80-81, SRV puts out the seminal album, Texas Flood!!! Bowie asked him to join his band, SRV turned him down!!! Said, he's gotta do it his own way. He's now the greatest blues guitarist all time, greatest blues singer all time, and a top 20 guitarist, all time. And he's all of 21 years old!😮😮😮😮. Clapton said of him, he's the only guitarist, who the music continuously flowed out of him. He doesn't have to go back, wait, think hesitate, reach, guess, at any notes chords sounds riffs- they just never stop coming out of him! BB or Albert king once said, " To play the blues right, u have to be black, twice-Stevie skipped all that!" 😁. Also check out his live version at Austin City Limits, Voodoo Child! ruclips.net/video/wgIB1OL09H0/видео.html

Perfect blend of finesse and brute strength.
Randy rhoads, David Gilmour, Lindsey Buckingham. Favorite guitarist, but damn Stevie Ray. is badass..
Stevie Ray Vaughan was one of the greatest, but so was Jimi Hendrix. If you watch Stevie Ray Vaughan playing his guitar most of the time he had his eyes closed and like the music just came out of his soul his heart.
You should react to his version of Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland
Ooooooooh, came here to say this!
B.B. and Albert King sang praises 👏 about Stevie's talent!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
BB King said most guitarist play in words ,I play in sentences but Stevie Ray Vaughn plays in paragraphs!
Check him out with Albert King. Albert loved him
🦋To mark the event of Thanksgiving in 1972, B.B. King played what he would call his best ever live performance years later when he reminisced upon his spectacular show at New York's maximum-security Sing Sing prison, an event that saw King show the true power of music by introducing the blues to prisoners.Sep 16, 2020
B.B. King said this was his greatest live performance ever
This show was just one month after his first album was released.
His band played clubs on the "Chitlin Circuit" in the South, but this gig was in Toronto Canada, so it's likely that most of this crowd had never seen or heard him before. 😳🤯
Stevie Ray Vaughn is the greatest blues guitar player ever. He played with BB King and Albert King. Yes, he spoke though his guitar.
Stevie and his guitar always sang in harmony
Love Stevie Ray, love to see younger people appreciating Stevie Ray nice reaction.
He sure had heart and soul
Albert Ray was Stevie's Blues man. Hand To GOD!
Albert Collins
The man is playing out of his soul cuz you young people say he's in the one of the greatest blues player of my enjoy it😊
You absolutely need to see BB King and friends doing That's Why I Sing The Blues. It will disrupt your day.
BB King with..... Stevie Ray, Eric Clapton, Albert King, Etta James, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, AND MORE..... a must see!
Most were present for his last concert
Someone previously commented that when SRV was done with his set, his guitar needed a cigarette!!
Check out U2 and BB King "When love comes to town" 👍
Definitely the envy of my friends for sure. lol
Epic show.
"Remember, Kid, There's Heroes And There's Legends. Heroes Get Remembered, But Legends Never Die."
THE LEGEND HIMSELF SRV !
SRV is the GOAT. No contest. The guitar is like part of his body. It's natural that he can play behind his back and sing like he was born to do it. He was.
Yes there is a contest. The only people who say that never saw Hendrix live.
Both Clapton and BB thought he was the goat!
Speaking of heavy set black men, one of the greatest guitarists, BB King, said that "Stevie Ray was the blackest white man he'd ever met"!😁🎶🎸🎵 There is a video of them playing together and you gotta-do it!🎸🎶
This is SRV iconic performance at the El Macombo tavern in Toronto, Canada
The goat may he rest in peace
The GOAT going full GOAT…
He's not "one of the greatest"; he is THE greatest.
Loved your reaction! It made me so hungry that I had to get dinner 😂. Stevie was friends with B.B. King, Albert King, and many other Blues greats. B.B. King on the channel? And a marathon of greatest guitarists? Yes please! 😊
My favorite guitar player ‼️ best that ever lived in my opinion 💯❤️
you said 2 or maybe 3 times pausing the video, maybe six. i think you spoke too soon. That was 11 times pausing the video and 27 times talking over it. I appreciate that you really liked the video and chose to react to it. I hope you will continue to react to Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Welcome to the SRV fan club, better late than never! Caught his act back in DC, it was fantastic!!!!!
I shook BB King's hand. Was like 19 when SRV died. Broke Into a Simpsons episode after the 10pm news and reported it.all us guys, all musicians, cried.
For me, he is number one. ❤️❤️✌️
Love Stevie❤
One of the most reacted videos on youtube. SRV was on top of the mountain
You should do the live in studio version of Black Coffee by Humble Pie with the Blackberries
BRO!
I understand I didn't have to but I had to
Heady...Intoxicating!😋😎😍😘
The GOAT OF GOATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The best of the Guitar Gods!!
Maaaaaaaan, your reaction to Stevie is the best one I’ve seen yet! You feelin’ e’rythang at exactly the right spot! Go ‘head on, young man 🙌🏾🙌🏾❤️
OF COURSE HE IS PLUCKIN THEM STRANGS
STEVIE BEING STEVIE !! 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🎸🔥🎸😁😍

The king of kings
1. U gotta react to His cover of "Voodoo Child"
2. Check out "Yebba - My Mind"
it'll blow your mind!
You should check out the video of famous guitarists commenting on Stevie Ray like: Albert King, BB King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and others. Dude was a virtuoso!
Best reaction to SRV ever... the food metaphors all the way through.... Got flavor, yup!
Truly enjoyed your reaction!👍
The best guitarist of the 80's was definitely SRV. Absolutely no contest there. Probably the best guitarist we have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
Love it!! Now that's music!!!
P.s. This is how you get views and subs and comments...open the floodgates for SRV fans. Just watch the numbers now. RIP Stevie ❤️
Thanks for the secret Pamela lol!
Amazed so many time by Stevie!! :) ♥ ♥ ♥ Jesus Love 2 U :) !! ♥
"I LIKE MY EGGO WAFFLES BURNT ON ONE SIDE"
IM DEAD 💀 ☠️ 🤣
Hey Mugs! Eric Clapton said SRV is only one that could make him hang up his guitar 🎸. Stevie is a Texas legend. Texas Blues at its best. I have been lucky enough to meet him a couple of times and go to several concerts. I miss him so much he was a very humble guy. Stevie and his guitar are like one. Oh there is a video with him and BB on you tube . I don't remember which song though. My other favorite song by him is Pride and Joy. As I am typing this I am waiting for the reaction when he starts playing behind his back lol. Lol there it is 🤣 great Reaction Mugs much love bro. ♥️
