I just found out there are several articles now, including one in The Korea Herald. Just so anyone knows, I'm not a "hater" trying to take this group down, I really love the song, but unfortunately can't enjoy it. It even weighs on my conscience while trying to enjoy the other songs. I get people are tired of drama and don't want these incredibly talented girls affected by it, I didn't want Garam kicked out of the company and think people ran to conclusions when we still don't know what actually happened in her situation. The Cookie situation is complicated, though, I don't have the answer as to making sure the girls aren't affected by this, but ignoring child exploitation doesn't sit right with me, either.

What the company did was rewrite the song in Korean from english. so all the Korean parts are re written and the English parts were probably kept as it is. which is why i mentioned that the english lyrics that they didnt rewrite to Korean is the worst part regarding the lyrics because the original song likely was written with an innuendo. they overlooked the part that cookie can have innuendos because in Korean baking cookie is slang for making music which was their mistake. They also expressed gratitude to the fans for their support and stated that they would do everything possible to protect the girls from malicious rumors. Frankly speaking before this mv release I didn't know Americans use Cookie as slang to refers vagina. When everyone was like it double meaning I was like where is the double meaning. Then I have to search it to know. Anyway I am wondering how many people knew this slang apart from American. I don't think there is many people. And I think in Asia we use Cookie as cookie. Not everything has to be in American way.

Your opinion is subjective. Most Koreans don’t have a dirty mind like you people, their culture is different from others. That’s why Koreans, Ador and the girls love the song and often play it in their livestreams. Are you someone of science or logic? Let me educate you a bit. You say the song is inappropriate and others say it’s not. So clearly your opinion is subjective. “Nothing is certain until an observer makes a measurement” - science.

Just because you say that it’s inappropriate doesn’t make it universally inappropriate, others love it. So scientifically and logically speaking, the song is appropriate and inappropriate at the same time. And this is why art is subjective.

We should allow kpop groups (who are adults in entirety and are actually looking for that sort of branding) to be a little inappropriate or to break out the box a little.

I see all of this as an auntie to nieces and nephews the same age as them and also a mother to a 3 year old - this is pretty inappropriate in my opinion. It’s not the song or the girls, the companies need to learn where to draw the line, where will the line be drawn where it’s NOT okay for older men and women to be gawking at children especially with them singing a song with (double) meanings like this one? What’s annoying is that it is such a good song lol why couldn’t they have waited a little longer to debut them or freaking get some talented girls who aren’t still going through freaking puberty?! Yeah, those are my thoughts, anyone who thinks otherwise (especially if they are as young as these girls) that’s fine, I mean I’m not going to boycott the song, I just feel like we all agree that sexualizing kids is not a good thing ssoooo where do we draw the line in that …..?

The difference is though they were in a group with older members. The eldest just turned 18 in this group.
The girls shouldn’t get hate because of their age but there should be some caution. Also let’s applaud that now people are looking out for them as opposed to in the earlier days. We shouldn’t be advocating for this just because it happened in the past. We are lucky that those people turned out okay but then again what do we know what happens behind the scene.
I just really don’t like this reasoning because we can also name young stars that didn’t turn out well so. Let’s just keep an eye out for them and enjoy their music.
