I understand that it has to sound like slang, but as a Korean, the reaction between the two is interesting. Oh really, when this song was released, the confusion and anger of the English-speaking people was enormous. In fact, the other meaning of cookies in this song is 'music'. In the early 2000s, Korea described overlapping data on CDs as 'baking cookies'. At that time, in order to listen to music that I liked often, I had to bake the music I wanted on a CD and cookies. There may be many interpretations, but I affirm that the reaction that surprises the English-speaking world is never intended. Well, it's a big problem that K-Pop has globalized and forgot the meaning of slang. The words can be awkward using a translator.
Mmm…50/50. The original song (wrote in English) was very VERY sexual. And in US “cookie” also means vagina. The writer wanted the song to have double meaning. ADOR adapted the lyrics and changed the meaning, but the subtitles they used are 100% the original English lyrics from the first version in English. They didn’t adapt the lyrics for us international fans. So the original sexual meaning is very obvious for us because we use the word “thirsty” as “wanting to have sex” also

But one day I found out about a Weverse announcement regarding the song and I found out that 'many may have misunderstood the lyrics'. When I watched the mv again, I can't see the lyrics any other way too. Now, I know one western slang hahahaha
People have just got over this songs lyrics, please don't keep that stuff going, this song is so good and the dancing is perfect, and it got lost in all that stupid stuff that sick people wanna think about
Ok next is ditto and it has a story behind it I highly recommend you to watch an explanation after❤
YOOOOO....I caught the video this morning. 😅😅 was catching up on the others last night 😂😂 I like this beat and melody. Yall were jaammiinnn 😂😂😂 "NAH, NAH, NAH, NAH, NNNAAHHH" LOLOL NOT THE COOKIE IN A JAR. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 IM DEAD. LOLOL I hope yall have a great day. Sending them purples 💜🤟🏻
NewJeans (뉴진스)👍👍
The lyrics are wrong in every possible way 💀 but your reaction was great! Love it 🫶
DEWET AND KYLE, BIG MISS!!! btw where is your reaction to “all eyes on me” by jisoo guys? 🫶
You guys should also check out Ateez too ❤
Lol at all the people trying to say it means what the press release said - cool, you can interpret it that way, but at the end of the day, you can still interpret it the other way, which was not appropriate for them to sing about
I know lyrics are questionable still so catchy I love it
You guys are so funny though 😂😂
I love your reaction thanks more new jeans reaction
The song is about their album fans want to get their hands on the album and CDs not anything inappropriate
I'm laughing so hard seeing how uncomfortable you guys are
lets just positive thinking👀
ehhhhh was really hoping you guys wouldn't react to this one. there's no excuse for sexualizing minors. none. as great as newjeans are this song is always going to haunt them and it sucks that their company put them in the position of recording this one. ador knew exactly what they were doing with this which is why it's so hard for me to get on board with them. imagine if your baby sister was forced to sing these lyrics... puts it into perspective.
May you please react to XG they are a Japanese girl group but all of their songs are in English ...plsss🙏🏼
it comes off differently in korea than in english, makes sense
Lyrics:🦋🙈
Music: 🫶🏻
The cookie is a metaphor for their cd and how they are making music
It’s not anything inappropriate
Haha it is they’re making us think that way
Keep coping with that
ㅋㅋㅋㅋ아미친ㅋㅋㅋㅋ신발얘기하는거뭔뎈ㅋㅋ개웃곀ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
This is my fav song of them
Hyein is actually pronounced like vein but with an h
You guys need to watch exo live white noise+thunder+playboy+artificial love
I missed you guys 💕😊
"Cookie" and "CD" have similar pronunciation in Korean=>The lyrics are about the quality of their music
sure buddy
이 형들 겁나 웃겨 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 뉴욕감성
When you pronounce Hyein's name you pronounce it as Hain not Hiyen..... She once mentioned it in an interview when they were introducing their selves
Listen, I know the lyrics are questionable but it's a such a bop
There are some words that are in Korean but when you translate them they don't give you the exact meaning so don't get them wrong they are just kids💆🏻♀️
Ngl you guys give off Gumball and Darwin lmao
i guess you haven't heard anything from stray kids ,, taste"
I know that face dwet, if i'm not wrong i know after hearing Cookie you must've thought about JK in your mind. 😂
In Korea, cookie just mean cookie. If you read the Cookie Composer interview, you can see that music CDs are compared to cookies.
Pls reaction to Blackpink & Bts mashup I need that
That's why this song got so much hate because of lyrics
oh i bet you haven't seen stray kids ,,taste" lyrics yet😂😅
You both should DITTO MV SIDE A&B , OMG NEWJEANS !❤❤❤
Edited because I think I misunderstood. And, I must have taught you how to read her name.....Hyein =} not Haien, He+ye+in.
Please understand if it's uncomfortable. Because this is a translator...
Cookie is CD. At least this is what they said
Taste the music 😂😂😂🤣
ICE CREAM BY BLACKPINK AND COOKIE BY NEWJEANS💀 English is not my country national language, and i also not really understand english..I really like the song and hearing its everyday but tiktok wake me up.
You have to react to ditto!! It's my favorite newjeans song
The song's good but the lyrics like they are still minors except hanni and minji how can they let them song this song?! But if u don't pay attention to the lyrics and enjoy the song it is so good
Even though it has double meaning... I still like it... Even though they are not talking about cookie😭they're talking about their c000chi
Watch their performance plss
Love your reactions plss react to NCT
There’s something called style something that you don’t have
Y’all are hilarious
This reaction is soooo Real HAHAHAHA
The lyrics are quite questionable... especially if they are being sung by minors. But the song is quite addictive, I became a bunnie recently and Newjeans is fucking addictive
Idk why suddenly it came in my mind. It might be is referring to the diet culture of the kpop idols. That they keep looking at cakes and cookies but don't eat it because of diets. 😬
They said the cookie is CD. Dont worry 😂. They aint for free bcs you need to buy their CDs or album ofcrs
