It’s the parents (who can recognise a child’s talent and love for something or even force). It’s been happening and it will happen in the future. Doesn’t make it any less sad for all child entertainers. We can only hope that they are well taken care after. We have a lot of examples of when things go wrong. We can only hope it doesn’t for them.
I didn't listen to their whole album but hype boy is really really good like addicting even ! Their music type is really cool and they seem really talented, they're just young (which of course come with some issues like lyrics and stuff...)

There is apparently a fascination with american teen movies (koreans call them high-teen movies) and so those tropes and things just made me think of all the books movies songs styling and shows that I personally think of when i think of this time period as someone who was born in 1995

The ending cracks me up, because it was predebut, no info on members when I saw it, and they do the close up on each of the girls faces and then the boy. When I watched it first I was like "oh close up on each girl, I can learn faces..." then the boy pops up as if he's a hidden extra member. My brain is dumb as hell but I'm still finding it funny. Yeah the ages thing is weird to me, but it's nothing new in the industry. It can only be a good thing that people are getting more outraged over babies debuting. Like Enhypen debuted in 2020 and their youngest was 14 at the time of debut (only like a month off 15, but still 14 on paper which is the same as Hyein the baby of NJ), and I don't recall nearly as much panic over his age, or the more mature songs the group has gotten at times. I remember most reactors I watched just thought he looked young, checked his age, realised their own mortality and carried on as if it's perfectly normal for someone who's not old enough to drive to have a whole career. It could be the fact their average age was older, could be that their concepts weren't as youthful, so you mightn't think about it as much. Could be just that we're more aware now even compared to 2 years ago. I've seen complaining about photocards and posters for this debut as well, with the opinion anyone who wants an album is a weirdo because they'd have pictures of underage girls. But I remember hearing absolutely nothing like that for EN- at the time. Anyway, protect all the baby idols. And I would 100% listen to your podcast.

But I really really like the vibe of the music they put out. Also from what I have seen so far, the girls are very sweet. So I am definetely interested, what they will do in the future and I hope you check out their other songs, esp. "Hype Boy" and "Hurt" (There are MV's for all of their songs).
Always the hope that they are treated well and appropriate regarding their age, but I REALLY dig their songs. It's like the first time I like R'n'B, they just have such a good vibe. And you can see that their maknae is in front for a camera for a while, she has quite the charisma already. They could have gone with less revealing clothes though? I think my favourite of their debut songs is 'Cookie' btw. That instrumental is so good. I don't 'defend' anything btw, but people always forget that Babymetal were like 14 and 12 when they started. :D
