I wish more manufacturers did interviews like that with a technician that actual knows what they are talking about, not just some PR person. Bravo! Good job BVG!
I know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot the password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Gunner Jaxen Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
It's a lot of money, but when you consider what an actual WSBK costs and just how close this is to a fully competitive race bike, its actually quite reasonable. I want one!
The only difference is that you need a lot of experience to ride a bike like this even 50% of its potential, which is way easier in a supercar. Im still a big fan of these kinds of bikes though.
S Haky sure, and people say that a lot, but it's not like that means you won't benefits riding this bike over a standard s1000. This bike will make you a faster rider
Such a weapon, you can tell Chris is totally in love with it (kinda like Al with the TZ250 video) and I'm sure he's considering selling some bikes (or body parts) to get one. He asks these questions more like a potential customer than a bloke with a youtube channel.
It's the best bike made in series for sure, A WSBK for someone with deep pockets unfortunately I have shallow pockets and sorter arms ;) thank you for taking the time to produce this and thanks for BMW Motorrad a great bunch of folk....would be interesting to see in IoM
What a fantastic interview! Lovely to see engineers and technicians so passionate about making something so special, and divulging so much detail in answer to Baron's queries.
I held the chassis of this thing at Phillip Island last year....I can tell you, this bike is very very special. Everything on this bike... just awesome.
What a cool guy! Nice to see a real genuine enthusiast explaining it with no bullshit. This bike looks epic! I have a feeling Mr Von Grumble may be showing us one in the future of his very own.
What another great interview from 44teeth, even though i'll never be able to afford one its great to hear about the attention to detail BMW has gone to for any prospective owners. Refreshing 👍
Fully race ready factory GP bikes are about $250K U.S. dollars, give or take. So at $80K U.S. to be this close to the actual factory’s GP bikes is a bargain indeed. It’s beautiful. Far more bike than I could ever squeeze every ounce of performance capabilities out of.
Vielen Dank Josef. Sehr informativ. Chris, here I thought you were just cocking about while Al has been entertaining us with 2 strokes and near death trips on side cars. I didn't know that BMW offers such a bike.
Do it. 44teeth NEEDS this bike. Hope BMW do a road version of this race bike - very slightly detuned for reliability but all other specs like carbon everything and electronics the same
I am nowhere near competent to ever need that. I love the concept and I hope it makes other manufacturers pull their fingers out and push their bikes that much further.
I would assume you have to pay with your own kidney... But the average price of a kidney on the black market is about ~150k eur so I would assume you could work out a deal with Baron where you buy two bikes with one kidney. But it is better to get in touch with BMW first before you remove your kidney to ensure they accept this deal.
Dear Mr. Fun Im sorry for my previous statment and its shortcomings, the actual paid money to the seller is usually around 5k, the buyers price is around 150k. I would therefore suggest NathanSGuitar94 to get in the market as middle-man selling kidneys on the Black market as this is much more profitable.
The street legal H2 is 200hp and the H2R "track only" is 310hp(329 w/ ram air "claimed"), but it's 476 lbs and would get chewed up on track by this BMW. Two very different bikes. The H2R is a drag strip bike compared to the BMW which is basically a WSB machine.
Well, I'm sold! Mortgage the house and get one. Great video as always guys! Love the tech heavy details, the guy was awesome and its really interesting to hear from someone who is on the inside as to the how's and why's. I'd love to see similar on other new bike launches, especially from the Superbike category. As much as seeing one being thrashed, its this sort of detail that makes you appreciate the bike even more!
5500 its quite a lot for a complete race bike, we usually rebuild supersport engine in 3000 km, otherwise there is a bike risk of blown up. So for more like SuperBike HP4 tuned engine 5500 is quite a good figure, could last almost a whole season in BSB.
thanks for sharing this- Its great that something like this is available however, even if you agree that it makes sense financially for someone who will use it, the benefits of something this light and powerful could not be fully utilized by most people, even quite experienced riders. Still very tempting.
I wonder if Peter Hickman was allowed to run the Carbon wheels during his demo lap of the TT? If I recall composite wheels were banned after Robert Dunlop had one explode at Ballaugh bride all those years ago!
Jesus friggin christ is that bike insane! I cannot get enough of this bike. The amount of buying a new engine is like buying a street s1krr but would be totally worth it if you had the money. Miigwetch/thank you for video
Excellent insight, very well explained the nuances and answered some doubts that I had. My biggest surprise was that the swing arm, is not carbon fiber. Ducati Superleggera is, and they are coming to racing more and more. Now, how does it compare to the Ducati V4 Speciale, it does not have all the carbon porn this HP4 has, but you have ridden both, so price, practicality, pure sex, which one is the one that would make you part of your well earned pounds?
If I heard that correctly then owners that chose to replace the engine after 5K will get a replacement engine from BMW but the "old" engine will remain with the dealer... to be sold?... used for parts.. he said it could go for 8K km so those engines must go for a pretty penny afterwards.
I think my most curious question is. Is it better than a V4 Speciale with carbon wheels, carbon body, race rear sets etc. I imagine the weight discrepancy will be still big, at least 35lbs. But the cost will be much less than the BMW. I'm super curious to see a lap time of a race ready V4S.
Does this have the trick electronic suspension that was on the R1M (maybe ducati v4? not 100% sure) where you can adjust the settings for the phases of the corner individually ?
When I saw this bike I thought it was only for the privileged, but now I’ve watched this video amongst others, you realise just how much bike and technology you are getting for your money. Yes, it is still expensive, but you are getting a super bike spec bike for a fraction of the wsbk cost. Great video, lovely bike............how many children do I have to sell.......
I wish more manufacturers did interviews like that with a technician that actual knows what they are talking about, not just some PR person. Bravo! Good job BVG!
You can see just how special this piece of machinery is in Josef's eyes. It's refreshing to see someone so passionate about their creation.
I know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account?
I was stupid forgot the password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Josiah Cohen Instablaster :)
@Gunner Jaxen Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Gunner Jaxen It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you really help me out !
@Josiah Cohen Happy to help =)
Damn this guy knows his stuff, no hesitation and knew just about everything. German engineering at its finest!
The engineer looks very proud of it
And so he should be looks epic he looks like he's looking at his baby
i love the passion these guys have for their work, refreshing.
Especially at 5:20
His face at 5:19 "definitely". That face alone makes the bike worth every penny lol
That was the best part lol "put it somewhere on a dyno"
Chris- "So, you'll see more than 215 HP at the rear wheel, on the dyno?"
Engineer - "Definitely."
holymolie 💀 😂
Fixed it for ya!
So Chris when is yours getting deliver?
It's a lot of money, but when you consider what an actual WSBK costs and just how close this is to a fully competitive race bike, its actually quite reasonable. I want one!
Yes and considering how much sportscars cost or even hypercars cost this is nothing compared to how much performance you get!
It’s better than a WSBK.....
True, it will give faster lap times. Personally, i'd rather ride a 1000 or a 600 to its absolute limit.
Such a weapon, you can tell Chris is totally in love with it (kinda like Al with the TZ250 video) and I'm sure he's considering selling some bikes (or body parts) to get one.
He asks these questions more like a potential customer than a bloke with a youtube channel.

What a fantastic interview! Lovely to see engineers and technicians so passionate about making something so special, and divulging so much detail in answer to Baron's queries.
If erection persists for over 4 hours, please seek medical attention immediately.
I think that's one of the best films you guys have done, very informative and interesting at the same time. What an amazing bike.
Yeah if you really start digging and know enough about manufacturing and the technology here, $80K for this thing seems like a bargain.
I held the chassis of this thing at Phillip Island last year....I can tell you, this bike is very very special. Everything on this bike... just awesome.
Another great video guys.
Still suprised you are only at 111k subs... everyone needs to share this channel and help make it grow and continue.
Just knowing the 3 seat heights down to the exact millimetre! His pride in this bike shines throughout the interview.
I have an important meeting in 9 minutes, but the video is 16 minutes long. It seems I will be 7 minutes late to the meeting.
quick maffs
yea, that's why im a boss and can be late to meetings :D
Hubert what’s your company Mr. Boss
Fantastic to see an engineer so proud he's bursting , it's like he's one step ahead of your questions , he's dying to answer ,great vid loved it .
Amazing how knowledgeable Chris is on brakes, wheels etc
What a cool guy! Nice to see a real genuine enthusiast explaining it with no bullshit. This bike looks epic! I have a feeling Mr Von Grumble may be showing us one in the future of his very own.
THE best vid on the HP4 race made...!
Absolutely brilliant compilation of engineering achievements. Beautiful bit of kit.
So nice. Look forward to seeing yours Chris.
What another great interview from 44teeth, even though i'll never be able to afford one its great to hear about the attention to detail BMW has gone to for any prospective owners. Refreshing 👍
My friend bought one in mint condition for 9 grand today. I don't think dude knew what he had and my friend go lucky he knew nothing of this bike

I saw the hp4 on my notification, I'm here! Notification squad. Pure motorcycle porn!
Bloody fascinating video fellas - thanks! Real perspectives discussing an epic machine 🙂
Information butt-load. Loved it. Engineer was terrific.
This, I believe, is the same guy from 44teeth's 2019 S1000RR interview. Dude is such an awesome representative for BMW Motorrad.
Oh my. WHAT-A-MACHINE!
Simply amazing - thanks for sharing this!
Very knowledgeable chap who seems very proud of the bike. Get it on the Dyno!
You didn't ask if I can pay with kidneys :(
I would assume you have to pay with your own kidney... But the average price of a kidney on the black market is about ~150k eur so I would assume you could work out a deal with Baron where you buy two bikes with one kidney. Takeaway message - if you want a HP4 race, get into the human trafficing/organ harvesting business
Just an epic bike indeed!! good overview mech wise from an expert on the bike, cheers
I nearly didn't watch this episode but I'm so glad I did. Sell a couple of bikes, Chris, and you're in!
More fantastic content and great to hear about this specialist machine from an expert.
I swear to god BVG is buying a HPSauce Carbon.
Yes, and we're paying for it.
Critical Rider I bet he wishes he was making that much for RUclips. He deserves it either way.
On the previous video was the idea of a sort of Go Fund Me, where they'd ask subscribers to fund the bike for the channel.
HOW DID THEY MAKE IT 215+!? 120nM is insane too! That's just BMW sorcery to me.
Nyleen You must sacrifice engines and your soul on the alter of the god of speed. In return she grants you HP and Nm. This is how BMW do it.
Shaolinfist83 no it's not
Yeah with forced induction.
@@Peanutdenver the h2 is just a fat bloke with a strong right arm, this thing is a highly developed athlete
love the shots of it at HQ, nice buy!
Thanks Chris great insight. Sounds expensive but what else could match it for the money! Amazing machine!👍🏁
*Great review! Thx, guys!*
Well, I'm sold! Mortgage the house and get one. Great video as always guys!

I'd love to see similar on other new bike launches, especially from the Superbike category. As much as seeing one being thrashed, its this sort of detail that makes you appreciate the bike even more!
I'm not even a bike guy, but what an interesting and stunning machine!
Body language, dribbling, an inconvenient bulge it an attempt to hold it back. He's only gone and got himself an HP4 Race!
It would be incredible to see one on the channel!
5500 its quite a lot for a complete race bike, we usually rebuild supersport engine in 3000 km, otherwise there is a bike risk of blown up. So for more like SuperBike HP4 tuned engine 5500 is quite a good figure, could last almost a whole season in BSB.

What a cool guy. Says is as it is. No bullshit. More people should be like that.
And what a cool bike too!
5:20 the look: definitely!
I wonder if Peter Hickman was allowed to run the Carbon wheels during his demo lap of the TT? If I recall composite wheels were banned after Robert Dunlop had one explode at Ballaugh bride all those years ago!
Insane machine. I'd love to be able to buy cheap knockoffs of that switchgear (the buttons and switches in those metal[?] housings).
Jesus friggin christ is that bike insane! I cannot get enough of this bike. The amount of buying a new engine is like buying a street s1krr but would be totally worth it if you had the money. Miigwetch/thank you for video
More than the sum of its exotic parts, it is race bike synergy.
Do it, buy it.
For yourself, and for all of us who can't.
Can we get Josef to say nerd again. He nailed it.
Another top video from you guys. I want one!!
Show this model at the local dealership, $80K for used thats a lot but its a beautiful bike to look at it
It's about time BMW start doing moto GP! Great film boys keep it up 😀
Dope video, straight from the source, German engineer included in box
that guys grin when he says you will see more than 215bhp at the wheel....., clearly it makes way more than that !
10:35 "God damn, BMW are running their chains a bit slack"
10:39 "Fuck, Never mind"
If I heard that correctly then owners that chose to replace the engine after 5K will get a replacement engine from BMW but the "old" engine will remain with the dealer... to be sold?... used for parts.. he said it could go for 8K km so those engines must go for a pretty penny afterwards.
iPANZERSCHRECKu he said it will be destroyed.
Can someone explain what they mean by a new engine my friend bought one used is the engine going to blow are a certain amount of kilos
If i had the money i would go around the world and ride on all tracks
Wow! Just wow....
Smeggys here
Absolutely
does anyone know what it really makes on the dyno? not speculation but real numbers I'm curious.
Baron, please get this bike! Let us other poor bastards live vicariously through your videos of you giggling along on it...
Best Bike out there..
I’m going to commute on one!
BVG got fed up with track times and bought a SuperDuke. Now that’s sold and he’s getting the ultimate track bike 😂
Does it have any lights with it??
How can they use it at night time
Does this have the trick electronic suspension that was on the R1M (maybe ducati v4? not 100% sure) where you can adjust the settings for the phases of the corner individually ?
Which one would you chose, 959 or f3 800
Just epic bike, those details...But still i love more Ducati 1299 superleggera
great video love this stuff
Sue Perkins and Jason Statham strike again! Great vid fellas!
Chris has definitely got a bee in his bonnet over that bike lol.
Baron's new bike, for sure.
THX for the vid, great information, keen to see the 2019 s1000rr and if they have an option for carbon rims, that would be cool...
I would crawl over broken glass just to have a session on one of those.
Ok you do the crawling first, then we'll talk about the session... if you're still alive. But it has to be a snake style crawling or the deal is off.
You should have asked him will the standard S1000RR road bike have any technology the HP4 does for next year?
Anyway to get it on the road?
Just a great looking and technical bike, if I win the lotto 🤔😳 I will get one... and use it...
It's nice... but does it have cruise control?
"So now...let's go and get chequebook" ..** Right away shakes hand and ends interview!
You can tell buy the engineer body language and face, that they've made something special.
Somebody get in contact with Gerhardt for Christ sake, he sounds like the man with the spare keys
How this price in Kolkata
You'll end up with one Baron👍
Chris , adding it to the collection?
ben cade. He’s sold almost all of his bikes, clearly saving the pennies for this.
oliver mobey , I wonder what for haha
Just wow!
This should be titled "BMW HP4: baron says "Okay" a lot. :P That guy wouldn't even let you speak!! lol
