    • @Antiganos

      I don't have the feeling that people making lead acid batteries in the street have doctors to see, yet alone the funds to. It's a sad situation.

      These very same poverty stricken people will be able to survive the dire situation much better than people like you or me who are living in the west, spoilt by all the 'taken for granted' conveniences and luxuries.

    • @Antiganos
      @Antiganos 3 года назад +12

      @@ASh-hj3it I didn't say anything arguing that. I told the other commenter that these people probably don't have the option to go see a doctor, because of their country's condition. That said, you can't just "tough out" lead poisoning, but my point was that these people don't have the option to either have proper protective gear or to have medical checkups. I hope countries like mine start helping countries like this so that people don't have to suffer lead poisoning to feed their families. It's sad and preventable. Stay safe friend, peace and love.

      It depends on what type of acid they are dumping down the drain. Lead acid batteries use sulfuric acid, which is also used in drain cleaners. It shouldn't be an issue dumping it down the drain as long as they dilute it, and if they do it only occasionally. If they dump acid every day, then that's a problem, they should neutralize it before dumping it.

      i mean you have literally loved it to death coz most likely you would have died coz of lead poisoning.

    • @eamoncat
      @eamoncat 3 года назад +1

      @@shortyyyy_1 Nope, lead is not that dangerous, you have to accumulate lead inside your body to get poisoned, touching lead doesn't get lead accumulated inside your body because you have skin and lead is solid. Before laserphototypeset was invented, newspapers and books were printed by zinc-lead alloy types, the workers who worked in publishing industry touched lead all the time.
      As a matter of fact, the majority has very poor knowledge of science, more accurately, of any area. You guys really should learn science more when you were 13 yo.

    • @smilefriend7171
      @smilefriend7171 3 года назад +1

      @@eamoncat Totally. Everyone should learn more science, including yourself. Lead can penetrate the skin layer, look it up, a simple search away and you find plenty of published papers.
      But also lead carries on in your skin, and clothes everywhere you go, contaminating the enviroment and spreading everywhere, posing a threat to children and pregnant women. Where do you think that all the residues go to? The ground, the air, everywhere. People stuck up like you are downright ignorant, if it came down to you we would still have leaded gasoline i bet lol.
