Thanks so much to you and your team for all the great content through the year!
Have a great 2024
Greetings from Uruguay!
Great overview of the years tech, look forward to more next yr. Thanks CVP.
Love the detail in all your reviews...Keep up the good work!
Such a great watch! Immediately subscribed!
Also not forgetting the LiDAR AF follow focus from PDMovie. Making cinema lenses to have AF at a budget price.
Excellent picks! Happy New Year!
One of my favorite channels. Always really well done.
Amazing work as always
Great list
The Pro2be is missing!
Cracking good round-up.
Great video! Which render settings do you use for your videos, to have them look this clean?
👍🏾🙏🏾 Happy New Year to you all ! 🏴🇸🇪🇹🇹
Someone asked me yesterday what my current favourite cinema camera was this past year, and I said the sony burano. I used it for like two seconds and it immediately became my favourite
Will the nisi athenas with a PL mount work with the module 8 tuners? Or will the rear element extending on the athena be a problem?
awesome...
What do you think of the Nikon Z8/9 for video Shooters? Would love to hear your opinion on them or a review.
Would love and L mount module 8 tuner. BMCC6k and LUMIX s5iiX users are dreaming of it
Happy new year !🎉
Same to you! Jake
What about smaller global shutter sensors for ENG/handheld camcorders?
Does the Tuner Variable Lens Adapters fit the Nisi Lenses?
Do you have any plans to do a full review on the Nikon Z8? I think that is still being slept on as a filmmaking tool.
Jake im convinced there must be a trove of outtakes/bloopers, when trying to pronounce the full name of some of these lenses. Would love to see a video of them
Nikon Z8?
Any idea whats plans canon have for thier cinema camera line up? They seemed to start the ‘update’ with the c70 but then nothing else…
No love for Nikon? The Z8 and 9 look really cool with the 8k N-Raw .
If you get a Cooke SP3 set for Sony E, can the RF adapter work with that set? I notice it comes with Leica L adapter, and they sell an RF adapter, but it's not clear to me if the Sony E can be removed and add the RF. I want to use them for both my FX3 and my KomodoX, is this possible?
They come with E fitted but RF mounts in the box, the L mount is optional. You can use the same lenses across the different mounts, if you want to see how easy this is, check out our full review on them! You will be able to switch between your KX and FX3 pretty easily!! Jake
Jelly* not jello ;)
aaaaand the dji ronin 4d 8k was released. ... could it be that the ronind 4d is a bit boycotted or neglected at CVP ? IT would be so cool if there was a review but it never came
Only thing that has changed is the actual gimbal and sensor unit. So what would they review? Image quality? There already a bunch of creators posted videos about the 8k.
@@getfmlr they have not reviewed the 6k either and it would be cool with they could review it like the other cameras, espacially a latitude test in comparison with a sony fx6 or fx9 and a red v raptor and the 6k would be super interesting. What other methods of other creators are not that comparable that is why i value the cvp latitude tests very much. And a lot has changed with the 8k version. An nice comparison to other brands is simply missing right now
I think its because the 4d simply doesnt have a very good image.
@@tbip2001 well that is simply not true, dynamic range is amazing, low light is nice, the colors are nice. I filmed on my occasions with red, black magic, sony, and all of the footage matches well if you now what to do. And if you check out lab tests it is an amazing sensor especially the 8k version.
Can you reallyyyyyyy call the skypanel X tech from 2023 when it's not released yet?
This is coming from someone who wants to buy 2 of them as soon as they come out
0:36 The 'Cooke Look' is only something film makers want. Your target audience, the viewers, don't care about it. Save your money and buy another brand of lens.
The BlackMagic camera doesn’t use Panasonic L mount it’s Leica. I thought you would know better. Leica = L mount They started the L mount alliance.
chill out, it's likely just an oversight. also, panasonic are also part of the L-mount alliance so technically they have some stocks in the L-mount.
It's an alliance. Leica, Sigma and Panasonic have equal input in the mount specifications. Panasonic's camera division is called Lumix, so Lumix "L" also works.
What ? On BM’s homepage it is L mount.
“Description
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is a next generation, handheld 6K digital film camera with 6048 x 4032 full frame high resolution HDR sensor, dual native ISO, L‑Mount”
Wow… “Thought you’d know better” … it’s a f@&kin’ L mount either way right?!! Relax…
You sound like that guy everyone hates to work with
Whole video is just a commercial to shill for luxury brands zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Expensive gear is better than cheap? No waaaaay. Especially if it's made by such luxury brands as Canon, Sony or Panasonic.
Have you ever worked in the film industry? This shit ain't "luxury," they're professional. This channel is mostly aimed at working professional filmmakers who usually rent kit on jobs rather than buying it themselves.
Dude, CVP is a camera store. Their entire business is to sell camera equipment. But calling them a shill is ridiculous. These people produce the most in-depth, honest, and exhaustive reviews of equipment you'll find ANYWHERE on the internet. They have created a unique value for their business by empowering customers to make the most informed decisions possible. This video is just a quick roundup of gear they liked in 2023. If you bother to watch any of the individual videos for any of those products, you'll see a very fair look at both the pros and cons of each product. Personally, I'm extremely grateful that CVP is here. If you aren't, maybe just keep it to yourself.
Perhaps you missed Panasonic, who make amazing gear that any serious maker can afford.
