- Join Eric as he blanches & peels peaches for his upcoming peach crisp. This method makes peeling peaches quick and simple. You can use these peaches for peach pie, peach cobbler or peach crisps. Using fresh, ripe peaches, Eric blanches them in hot water, peels, and slices them. Please stay tuned for our next upload where Eric will make his famous Peach Crisp!

Finally a video showing what to do with the core ☺️☺️☺️
Thank you sooooo much Eric from Hamburg Germany
Thank you. I peeled peaches the other day but had trouble releasing the pit. This was helpful.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. I am going to use a cookie recipe that calls for peeled peaches. By the way, I have a t-shirt just like yours! 🙂
This guy is hilarious. Great video!
Best demo I have seen. Thank you very much.
I use a pair of needle nose pliers to take out the seed before blanching.
Interesting about the blanching Eric, makes peeling so much easier, I have never tried that. Thanks for sharing and also the tips.
Thanks Angie. Yeah, peeling peaches has been a learning curve for me. The firm ones we get from the store can't be peeled this way (so I used a potato peeler). Amy would hack them up with a knife. Faster, but messier. I just wait a week for them to ripen and soften a bit and then use this method. Much quicker in person than when filming a video. So hopefully the time investment doesn't scare people.
Doink. Love it!
absolutely yummy looking! love the mixer choice for background too!
Thanks Amanda! I love peaches this time of the year. I am working on a peach cobbler. It is one of my favorite desserts! I hope you had a nice Halloween!
This was a great simple and entertaining tutorial, thanks y'all :) I just found y'alls channel and am looking forward to checking out some other videos. I can certainly appreciate all the gadget vids as I geek out over kitchen stuff too lol Keep the great content coming!
Great video! Thank you!
I'm not a big fan of peaches, but I love peach cobbler! This looks so easy and quick, made me hungry for peach cobbler just watching! 😄 😜
Thanks for watching. I usually cook peaches (I don't buy them to just eat them as a snack), so I guess we have that in common. Well, that and being hungry for a cobbler :-)
I love peach cobbler...hint..hint Eric Can you make me some?
Well I learned something new again. If I keep watching these Video's I will be to smart for myself. Love the Video's.
Paul, thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it (and learned something).
Thanks Paul! I am glad that the videos are helpful!
Hey Eric, does this remove that nasty hairy taste peaches have? I love canned peaches but when I buy fresh they taste gross. Will blanching solve that problem and give me the texture of canned peaches?
Thanks if you reply
Thanks for watching. Are you asking if the blanching makes them taste less gross, or simply peeling the skins off changes the flavor? To me, eating only the flesh does taste different. Blanching should not affect the taste or texture as we are only heating the outer layer of the peach for easier skin removal; we're not cooking it (that's the importance of only boiling for 30 seconds to a minute) and immediately putting in ice water to prevent any cooking from happening.
Tomatoes are the same way ,a quick blanch and ice bath and skins too off.
