Love the idea of you doing tier list! Would love to see big tier list with multiple franchises or random movies!
Yea I am a bigger fan of large tier list too. If you're going to make one make it big
me tooo

He just uploaded one!! It’s amazing
A Nightmare on Elm Street 1 has 5 Stars on RT.
Wes Cravens New Nightmare (Freddy 7) has 4 Stars on RT.
Freddy 3 and 4 have 3 Stars.
All the others had bad reviews.
Nightmare 3 to me is the most disturbing, because each victim was completely relatable and you didn’t want to see anything happen to them. It was the one out of all of the chapters (with the exception Shiela’s and Debbie’s kill from part 5) that was so heartbreaking to me
Freddy vs Jason is the perfect movie to get stoned/drunk on Halloween with some friends and just have a great time. It has one of my favourite lines in the series - “Dude, that goalie was *pissed* about something.”
I totally agree about Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy. I think he did a great job with what he was given and deserves more credit.
Bad writing and a terrible Nancy. Which sucks cause I like the cast other than her
Wes really created something special with this franchise. Essentially it's just a slasher but the antagonist is so unique!
I agree about Jackie Earle Haley. He's an insanely talented actor thrust into a bad script and a film that forgot what makes Freddy so great. He plays with his food, but they just had Haley whisper at everyone. When he's pre-fire Freddy, he's incredible. Wish he'd get a second chance in the role.
Nightmare 4 and 5 are criminally underrated entries, they have the best nightmare sequences in the series and really unique for having a more gothic and arthouse take, both very stylistically directed, both have sick soundtracks and after watching Doctor Strange 2 the visuals really remind me of that. 3, 4 and 5 forms a nice Dream trilogy while 1 and New Nightmare are good prologue and epilogue/anthology, forming a nice complete 5-part saga.
Part 5 was the very first Nightmare I ever saw and it is watchable but it was very weird and they weren't aloud to go overboard with the kills and blood so thats what ruined it along with Jason part 7
I think the dream sequences in 4 and 5 are cool, but a lot of them are too brightly lit up and over the top. When Freddy stopped being scary the dream sequences got really carried away. I liked the more grounded, darker dreams of 1 and 2 as well as parts of 3.
@@MCLogikILL Some(but not all) dream sequences in 4 are brightly lit for sure but they are pretty magnificent, I really liked all the nightmare version of 1428 Elm Street house sequences 3 started it but 4 really hit home with it, that location jn the dream world is a recurring thing from 3 to 5, the other sequences including the factory (which has green lightning this time, very unique it's the first time that location is in green) the nightmare cinema and final church fight. 5 I think went for a dark approach which was intentional as the director wanted Freddy to be more scary, and in terms of visuals that film was amazing the gothic imageries are really great. But yeah 1 and 2 kept the nightmares more grounded 3 is when it becomes more fantastical, 4 went over the top and 5 went all out gothic arthouse
@@keldorthebluemack I am aware of the cut scenes of 5 but I don't think theyve been cut THAT much like Jason 7 they removed like 30 secs for each kill tops and in the final cut you can still kinda grasp what happens. I personally really like 5 it's in my top 3 in terms of 'nightmare' I think that's the installment that captured that essence the most in the series, the dream sequences for the film are some of the best in horror
I totally agree
Thank you Cody I always said New Nightmare is a prototype for Scream and always got shit for it. Finally someone else said it too.
I would say anyone who gave you shit for that doesnt know horror. New Nightmare is more a commentary on the people who make films, while Scream is more focused on who watches those films. They go hand in hand if you ask me
@@T_R_O_Y_McClure that’s what I exactly said too but nope to some they’re completely different and has nothing to do with each other
Part 2 was the darkest most terrifying Freddy of the series. This was the first one I saw…I watched it premiere on HBO in early 1986. As a 6 year old kid I watched it about 20 times over that weekend and fell in love with the series before it was even a series.
Naaah
Objectively it is. It takes itself very seriously. Freddy doesn't joke around at all. Plus it's a borderline body horror film.
I agree 100💯 2 was definitely darkest!!
It’s the nostalgia for the reason of not wanting to rewatch the new nightmare….Sometimes it’s not just about the movie but also the memory it brings to you.
This is why I always fall back on movies like Phantasm, Sandlot, Speed, Mighty Ducks, Burbs….Good memories watching these when young and free!
That's why as an adult I think Home Alone is still among my all time favorites.
I loved Nightmare on Elm Street part: II. The final boy was nice to see, because it’s rare to come by.
But killing Nancy in part III was the worst. Also; it’s too bad that Julie died. She seemed like a very likable character.
As for Freddy Vs Jason; it was a good movie! They should of made a follow up.
Nightmare 3 was supposed to be the final entry of the series, with Freddy gone for good, and the light turning on inside the model house was Nancy protecting the dream world, but the studios got greedy of course and kept making films.
I’ve never seen any nightmare on elm street movies except for the remake. I own the complete collection on Blu-ray just haven’t gotten around to watching yet. This fall I definitely will. I love these tier lists that your buddy Sean always does. Very cool! Ken from mid level media does them too. You definitely need to do more of these!
These tier list videos and the setup for them is great, feels so natural rather then the usual setup. 👌🏼
Great list Cody. Hope see a Childs Play and Friday the 13th tier list. Keep rocking. Always appreciated this franchise and the imagination of each film. Love em or hate em, ANOES franchise is creative.
Halloween tier list too
Halloween and texas chainsaw massacre too!
As a huge Freddy fanatic myself, I would love to see a video of your pitch for a possible Nightmare sequel/remake. I think as fans of this franchise we can’t help but think of cool things we’d like to see in a new Nightmare movie (if it’s possible to ever even get one) and I think you’d have some awesome ideas. Love the channel!
There’s nothing else left to do
Thanks for bringing constant entertainment when I need it man. I love this channel like I have for years.
would love more tier lists like this one, right on!
Dreamy! - Dream Warriors, Nightmare 1984
Good - The Dream Master, Freddy vs. Jason, New Nightmare
Watchable - Freddy’s Revenge
Snoozefest - The Dream Child, Nightmare 2010
(literally anything…)
Nightmare! - Freddy’s Dead
Great video. Tier lists have always gotten me intrigued and it’s cool that you tried it out
I can’t be the only one who headbangs to the intro of this guy’s videos! 🤘
Loved this tier list! Definitely got my thumbs up to do more!!😁
Thanks buddy
Tier list is the way to go I think. You have a great grasp on horror and its always interesting to see any and all opinions you have
My personal favorite movies are 4 and 7, part of why i like 4 is because it was directed by a Finnish guy like me Renny Harlin, whose also born in the same city as me (Riihimäki).
This was fun! Hope you enjoyed making this enough that you do more. Child's Play, Friday the 13th, Halloween, you name it! They'd be awesome! Good work man. Killin' it 👍
The tier list format here works well for me, as it's actually mini
condensed reviews + personal reasons how the movies compare to eachother. I'd like to see you continue this format.
Dream Warriors is definitely my favourite too. And the original obviously a classic. Even part 2 I thought was very memorable. Some gritty, memorable scenes I always thought. Like especially that bus scene. Amazing! Number 4 was kind of okay in some ways. Some good atmospheric moments at times. And lighting effects. But yeah, by Number 5 think really did all seem to be going downhill a bit creatively. Yeah, that motorbike scene was awesome! The Freddy's Dead one was definitely pretty disappointing. New Nightmare was great really in many ways and Heather was amazing. Anyway, yeah though. Thanks! Very interesting retrospective
Part 2 is my favorite!! Freddy was his most darkest!!
So, I have a special place in my heart for New Nightmare. My older sister rented it from the video store & she was babysitting me with her friends over & it was my very first horror movie at age 4. I’ll also say this. I agree for the most part on the reboot. Definitely relied heavily on CGI. Practical is just always better. Rooney Mara shouldn’t have gotten the role. Probably could’ve cast anyone else. I mean put an ugly beanie wig on me, I was available to film in 2009. I do think the homage to Tina’s Death with Kris wasn’t bad. It did make me jump & especially since it isn’t right from the get. The other scenes they pay homage too were unnecessary like you said. I also don’t think this Freddy actually killed any kids. Just you know as well as mutilating them. Lately I’ve been craving horror films where I’m legit terrified & I don’t wanna root for them per-say. So them making him more of a predator didn’t bother me. I also liked the Micro Naps idea.
Yes Cody! 👍 I don’t watch many tier lists either, but you make this fun, and I always enjoy you chatting about films. Looking forward to more!
I can’t wait for a child’s play/Chucky ranking 😏
5:16 I thought u hated how he came back with the dog taking a piss lmao
Yes I do, everything else I like. The junkyard setting, the line "You shouldn't have buried me..."
@@CodyLeachYT Oh I see what u mean
As soon as you said my first review was in 2016 i was shocked ive been watching you for 6 years and started watching you around 6000 subs
I love the tier lists, it’d be great to see more!
For me;
Dreamy: ANOES, Dream Warriors, New Nightmare, FVJ
Good: 2
Watchable: 4
Snoozefest: 5, Remake
Nightmare: Freddy’s Dead
Nah part 4 is in good the fight Alice vs Freddy 😮💨 The best
@@flashlinestudio5669 did you not see where it says “for me”
I agree 100% w this list
Cool idea similar to what the horror show channel has done, respect CL look forward to more of these.
Love the idea of doing Tier Lists! Love the content Cody
Congrats on 80k man!
Loved that you did a tier list to my favorite horror franchise of all time. The original and part 3 are by far the best ones, but I have the remake in watchable, I do agree that the cast is really bad except for Jackie Earle Haley who did a great job for what he was given, there was to much information about the child touching and I definitely could have lived without that. Rooney Mara was horrible and acted like she didn't even wanna be in the movie. As far as the rest of your list goes I absolutely agree. Love the channel and content alot, keep up the great work cody.🤘😊
Great content Cody love it as always
First time, long time. Just wanted to finally comment and thank you for all the great content. Please keep it coming because you’ve made working from home great! I think you could have another great series with these tier lists.
Dreamy:
1984 original
Dream Warriors
New Nightmare
Good:
Freddy vs. Jason
Freddy's Revenge
Dream Master
Watchable:
2010 remake
Freddy's Dead
Snoozefest/Nightmare:
Dream Child
Awesome tier ranking, pretty badass idea, Cody
Uh Freddys Dead is trash it’s not watchable at all
@@viloetmarsh3467 well that's just like your opinion man. This shit is subjective. Take your hatred against opinions somewhere else
Kinda screwed yourself brother.. Now I want every horror franchise tiered this way and I'll bet I'm not alone
I figured. Lol
Great video Cody!you should do more of these
Another awesome video Cody. I dont usually get a ton of time unfortunately to watch hours of RUclips from my favorite creators. I am recovering right now from a second surgery on my eye to try again to re attach my retina. So i have to do a lot of face down time. Man i have been binging your channel. Making this laying flat for 45 minutes of every hour, every day for a week a little more manageable. Also, you for sure need to do a lot more ranking videos like these. Viewers love to know your overall thoughts and opinions on these types of things. Awesome video. Amazing channel. Thank you for time and effort.
I’m pissed about 6 too. I just re binged them a few nights ago and 6 pissed me off 🤣🤣🤣 that opening scene makes my piss boil
If you ever watch it again just remember that the franchise went loony toon. Weed helps you appreciate it more than ever.😂
This tier list is on point. And of course, Dream Warriors is amazing. It's too bad the warriors didn't do more in future sequels.
Dreamy - Nightmare 3
Good - Nightmare 1, Nightmare 2, Nightmare 4
Watchable - New Nightmare, Freddy vs Jason
Snoozefest - Nightmare 5, Nightmare 6
Nightmare - Remake
Honestly if I could bring back the Nightmare on Elm Street films, I would definitely pick it up after Dream Warriors, like Cody said, have Jackie Earle Haley reprise his role as Freddy as a second chance, and give it a dark, metal ASF story since the original and Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
And definitely give it a post credit scene for Freddy vs Jason Part 2. And yes, I want Derek Mears back as Jason
He sucked it
Just a idea to throw around for you, Cody… Horror movie VILLIANS tier list???
I've thought of that. I'm sure it will happen
Freddy vs Jason is peak cinema idc what anyone says 😂😂😂😂 and imma Jason fan. He was used right i liked the plot
Torture For Regular People: Held Hostage
Torture For Cody Leach: Tied To a Chair and Being Forced To Watch Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
I agree with you on every one. Also I think you should do more Tier List videos
They didn't just focus MORE on the pedophile aspect in the remake. They totally eliminated the murderer aspect completely, reducing Freddy to a simple Chester molester, and in turn making him far less sinister. This Freddy never kills anybody until after he is dead. That's (for me) the ultimate crime of this abomination, & why it's BELOW Nightmare on my tier list.
For Your next tier list since you have an appreciation for reboots/remakes you should do one on those. Great start to what can be an interesting new series for you Cody!!!!
This is my 2nd favorite horror series. Love them all! Never rated them except say that "ANOES 3: Dream Warriors" is my favorite. "ANOES 1", Cody, you took the words right out of my mouth! NOBODY had EVER come up with a concept for a movie(horror, even otherwise) whereby when you died in your sleep, you died in real life! Best part is, nobody would dare copy it, or else risk hearing:"Oh, come on, dude! You're just aping 'A Nightmare On Elm Street'!" "ANOES 2: Freddy's Revenge", perhaps(perhaps) they took that out of left field direction because, obviously, there was just going to be NO following that iconic original, so......why not just do something different? I'll probably never truly know the reason they did it. Just a theory.
"ANOES 3: Dream Warriors". Besides previous comment on it being my favorite, you get Dokken!!! Also, my favorite one-liner not only in this film, but in the entire franchise, when he forces the aspiring actress's head through the t.v..
"ANOES 4: The Dream Master". Love Freddy in sunglasses, the "Jaws" reference, 2 truly standout lines: When he kills Joey in his waterbed, and when he literally sucks the life out of the asthmatic girl(although that was really sad).
"ANOES 5: The Dream Child". Loved Freddy skateboarding(and running his fingerknives on the ground), the dude being transformed into a paper figure and being killed, and when Freddy killed Greta, him pretending to be a French chef(complete with hat) and his pronunciation of Barbie, and his one-liner before killing her, and looking straight into the camera when he said it.
"ANOES 6: Freddy's Dead, The Final Nightmare". I love the Nintendo kill, and the way that while the guy was a jumping as his character on the video game screen, the real guy was jumping and destroying ceilings. I loved the references to "The Wizard Of Oz"(music included) and, best of all, Alice Cooper!
"ANOES 7: Wes Craven's New Nightmare". I love the fact that it was another highly original, good idea by Wes Craven. Freddy Krueger enters real-life, THAT was sweet! Robert Englund doubles as himself and F.K., as if to say that Freddy was an entity that could, and did, exist separate from Robert Englund. Heather Langenkamp playing herself. Truly great stuff!
"Freddy Vs. Jason". All sorts of great! I love when the dude gets killed in the hospital bed(best kill of the movie, to me), when Freddy finds out that Jason harbors a fear of water and taunts him about it, the heretofore unknown lore from both franchises, the cornfield kills(especially the dude getting his head twisted backwards, and the flaming machete being thrown through the fat dude.). Actually, Cody, not to sound like a know-it-all jerk, I promise, but that talk of a movie(which eventually became "FVJ") had been existing since the late 80's, when I was in high school. This was years before smartphones, Internet, social media, any of the instant information formats that we enjoy today. This was just good, old- fashioned word- of-mouth subjects being discussed by horror fans. Considering the fact that that was the route that discussions were forced to take, it's a wonder that word- of-mouth worked as well as it did! But, it did indeed work. Obviously, it wasn't until the ending of "FT13th, Part 9: JGTH, TFF", with "Friday" finally being on New Line Cinema, that this dream was able to be realized, because as badly as we all wanted it, being with 2 different movie companies, our "heroes" couldn't meet, legally.
"ANOES 8". Well, for the sake of it being a "ANOES" movie, I love it! Katie Cassidy is a pleasure to view, as well. Jackie Earle Haley, you're right, Cody, did a pretty good job. But.....he was sort of thrust into a position that ANYBODY would've been saddled with: The simple fact that this character is associated with, and ONLY with, Robert Englund. This being said, the actor chosen could've infinitely been a better actor than R.E., and it would've been worth nil. Acting ability is not the issue here, not being Robert Englund is. All in all, GREAT video, Cody!
Fire cody just fire I believe the future tier list is Halloween?
He’ll probably do Child’s Play first.
@@MatthewFerrisi I think your right
Love, love, love your channel and your commentary, and I completely agree with your category rankings here!!!
I enjoyed this Tier List video! I'd love to see you make more of these!
Like this format. Can't wait for more.
Loved this, if only because it got you talking about Freddy’s Dead again, which is always hilarious.
I watched the original Elm St with my kids, 5 & 7, since it’s about the age I fell in love with the franchise.. they were scared, grossed out, entertained, and cheering for Nancy at the end! I’ve never been more proud to be a dad 😊
Nice!!!! Lucky kids
Besides the Nightmare on Elm Street Remake (which goes in Nightmare for me), we pretty much have the same exact tier list!
I am on the same boat as you with Freddy's Revenge. I used to think it was so dumb when I was younger. Once I watched the Scream Queen documentary though, it painted a whole new picture for me and now I enjoy it.
Thank you again, Cody. Your vids bring me joy.
Is there a Tier list for the kills? That would be fun!!!
My favorites are Original Nightmare On Elm Street Movie and Freddy Vs Jason.
Great ranking Cody and take care and stay safe 👍.
I pretty much agree with your entire list. Though I might place Freddy vs. Jason in "Dreamy!" because it's the movie that got me into horror.
This was a good tier listing! Can't wait to see Child's Play, Halloween, Alien, and Friday the 13th. Keep up the good work Cody!!! 👍🎬
Part 2 has the darkest most menacing looking Freddy for me. Had they continued making him darker in the movie’s that followed , from 4 on Freddy’s Revenge might be looked upon differently my favorite three are the first three in order the original, revenge and dream warriors .
I didn’t think the remake was terrible I didn’t like the reveal, I liked them playing with the idea of Freddy maybe being innocent and then they took it there and made everyone feel gross kinda pulling for Freddy a little bit. Yeah we didn’t need the concrete evidence, the innuendo was part of the the character, but I totally get what you’re saying.
I still think the Friday the 13th remake is awesome and way better than the first three Fridays combined
Dream warriors is more watchable to me than the original. i love the original but it is a slow burn for the most part. I also grew up with movie 4 so i'm softer on it because of Nostalgia. and new nightmare to me, actually scared me for ONE scene. when freddy's glove comes through the bed. i think that would've been a wild way to bring about deaths. good list, same as mine, i think that for the most part most people can agree on this list
4 is my personal favourite it’s the peak of the franchise IMO
Would definitely love to see your tier list of marvel and dc films or with other horror franchises
I love the teir list format and would love to see more
I love that you said part 4 was your favorite as a kid because…same. I LOVED it. But now, I feel that same as you
We had a shared lived experience at 13! The website, the release and all that came with it was magical at the time!
Hell yea I dig the tier list and it was the nightmare review series that brought me to the channel years ago and I’ve never left! Thanks for the good shit Cody! 🤘🏼
To be honest, I like Quentin Smith's character in the remake but he never got any proper spotlight cuz he was so sidelined until Kris’s death in Act 2. He had potential but nothing much really worked for him. I’m glad that he did get the proper treatment in the video game Dead by Daylight for his backstory and inclusion to the game but that doesn’t change the movie itself. Poor Quentin.
As Someone Who grew up obsessing over Nightmare on Elm Street & all things horror, I'll never forget how excited I was to see Freddy vs. Jason in theater when it came out. I was heartbroken when they wouldn't sell me a ticket because I was only 15 and took my 13 yesr old brother with me because he was also obsessed. So we did what any good fan would and just snuck in anyway & i loved it. Completely agree with this tier list.
Great ranking Cody!! I think Freddy was his most darkest in part 2.
Great work…support Cody’s work by watching, liking, sharing, & commenting on his amazing content!
I haven't seen many tier lists but that was a fun video cody
Finally! Someone that doesn’t trash FvJ! Always loved that movie and don’t get why people don’t like it!
My list is pretty simple:
1. Elm Street 1-6 + New Nightmare + FvJ
I love them all and can watch any of them whenever, wherever. Don't make me choose which of my kids I like best (whispers -"Dream Warriors").
Good to see some appreciation for Freddy vs Jason
My List Is
9. A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)
8. A Nightmare On Elm Street 5
7. New Nightmare
I Just Thought New Nightmare Was Just Boring.
6. Freddy Vs. Jason
5. Freddy's Dead
4. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4
3. A Nightmare On Elm Street 2
2. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)
1. A Nightmare On Elm Street 3
My 9th Favorite Horror Movie Of All Time.
Awesome.. I like the tier ratings. I would of put part 4 at “good”. I think part 3 & 4 can always be watched as a double feature. I know Freddy lost some menace in 4, but there are some top notch sequences in that movie that none of the other movies in the franchise even come close to.. I wish the remake went in the direction of parts 3 & 4, and of course part 1
My first video on this channel I genuinely detested at the time. But Mr. Leach has won me over and this has become a great channel.
Can I ask why you detested it?
@@CodyLeachYT I biasedly disagreed was all. Coming off the Dexter New Blood I was really high on the ending. Upon hearing your fair criticisms I didn't like them initially. But once I set aside how my personal saltiness I discovered how good the channel was.
Definitely do this with the horror franchises
Love this! Tier rankings are very often used in football. Great list brother
Congrats on hitting 80k been a fan since 2017
Great list. Honestly I didn’t like the remake. I think Jackie Earle Haley is a good actor and I think he got the voice down with the character. I just think the remake wasn’t that great to me.
To this day I refuse to watch that movie!
My A Nightmare On Elm Street Ranking
1. A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
2. A Nightmare On Elm Street
3. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
4. A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
5. Freddy vs. Jason
6. Wes Craven's New Nightmare
7. A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: Dream Child
8. A Nightmare On Elm Street (Remake)
9. A Nightmare On Elm Street: Freddy's Dead
Switch 2 and 5 and FvJ and New Nightmare that’s my list
I’m gonna be honest, I’ve only seen 3 of them lol 😂
3. A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)
2. Freddy vs Jason
1. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)
Awesome video and 80k baby!!! hell yeah
Cody, you’re probably gonna love season four of Stranger Things because it gives off a lot of a nightmare on Elm Street vibes! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
The Final Nightmare was my introduction to Freddy. Ugh so much regret. New Nightmare was what interested me to him again.
Intro is always a Banger as well as nightmare! Love you man keep it up yah! 🥀🌷🌸🔪
I think it would be cool to see you do a nightmare 1 vs dream warriors breakdown and explain the certain aspects of each movie and why you prefer dream warriors
So I might be the odd one... but I didn't mind the "predator" version of freddy in the remake. I like how it kind of makes sense why he would be out for revenge. He was evil alive and evil in death.
Loved the video man, can’t wait for the next one!
My two sense is that ranking videos are a better more scripted and better executed version of the tier list so that's just my preference but I am still pretty excited to see your take on it
I’m 21 years old & i review weed products on my RUclips channel as my job👀, tryna make if out the hood, it’s crazy out here fam🙁🙁
How is this a response to my comment
Hey cody would you ever consider a ranking of the dream sequences in the nightmare on elm street franchise
I've ranked the kills which is pretty much the same thing.
if you threw a cut out of Danny McBride on a video and just spoke from that, you wouldn't be able to unconvince me that it wasn't Danny McBride. Love the videos man!
Love the tier list. Can you do Final girl tier list?
I’m surprised you haven’t ranked the deaths/defeats of Freddy. He has some really cool deaths specifically his part 4 with those amazing practical effects of the souls fighting to escape.
I agree! Also needs to rank Freddy being brought back. The dog piss one will be laat for sure 😂
@@wardor9214 we technically don’t see his resurrection in 2,3,6, Freddy vs Jason plus the original can’t be counted so he would only rank 4 and 5.
4 and 5 have the best Freddy brought backs I love how they resurrected him at the same place he was destroyed showing good continuity and 3,4,5 have the best deaths!!
@@Nicholas_Chen_ I talked about this on a reaction channel but i haven’t seen anyone comment on the fact that nightmares 3-5 are sorta like a church trilogy. Think of it Freddy got taken out momentarily with holy water/cross in nightmare 3, he got taken out with the reflection of himself in a piece of stained glass window which I always interpret as how they are in a church which is supposed to be a place of God the reflection of Freddy which is a non human soul in a holy reflection gave the souls enough strength to free themselves from Freddy, and in 5 his “death” was getting sealed away with his mother who is a nun. No one really talks about it which was kinda odd to me. Anyways yes those defeats are the best cause in the original he just phased away which was cool, he got burned alive in 2, in 6 he was blown up, in new nightmare same thing as 2, Freddy vs Jason was an awesome death, and in the remake just a slice to the neck.
Cody and the nightmare franchise equals an immediate click from me
