    Been hoping for a new Capt Matt video one of these days... :) Nice little nightcap before turning in
    I just moved my nicely growing tomato seedlings outside from being under the grow lamp down in the basement _(they got a good drenching with a few days of soaking rain)_ :)
    I'll have peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers & garlic. Certainly no variety like what you've got going!
    Dirt under the nails - yeah man! Haha! 👍🏻

    I like the clear tubs Captain Matt 👍👍
    That is an excellent soil mix for starting seeds. The BTI 100% of the time is the key to flying insect free!
    When it comes time to plant the gardens don't be shy on the castings, 2-3 dixie cups at the root per hole for vigorous and strong stemmed plants that continue to produce until the first damaging frost. It seems that the castings also prolong the harvests after the first frosts, longer than plants with no castings. Casting tea weekly also helps a lot too.
    Enjoy worms and have a great Day!

      Hey worms for life! Credit to you for urging me to go BTI in all my water… I slowly worked up to that and the results are astounding. Right on with the casting benefits to the plants - it’s amazing. Thanks for sharing.

      @@CaptainMattsWorms Yeah, the mosquito dunks are marvelous. I cannot imagine not using them with plant starts and worm bins. Actually, I can remember what it was like not using the BTI and I do not want a reminder of what that was like. I am happy that you have moved over to using them. I am so much more at ease with the dunks in use. It is easy to say the flying insects are just part of worms and get used to them, but when doing worms in the house it does not show respect to the other people in the household. What I like the best about them is if someone gets castings from me and uses them on house plants they will never say "worm castings gave me fungus gnats". It goes a long way when you or I can guarantee that someone can use the castings on house plants or seed starts and not have fruit flies/fungus gnats from the castings. The BTI makes better quality castings in that regard.
      Thank you for the upload, Captain Matt.
      Have a great Day!

    Hi. I have worms in my containers where I grow vegetables despite using tarp under them. I don't want worms in them. Do you have any advice on how to repel them naturally to make them keep away from there?

    • @CaptainMattsWorms
      @CaptainMattsWorms  Год назад

      Kind of out of my area of expertise, unfortunately… out of curiosity, why would you not want worms there?

    • @just...A
      @just...A Год назад

      @@CaptainMattsWorms They are small containers and pots, some of them may be moved indoors when it gets cooler and there are also some other reasons. That's why I placed them on tarp and not directly on soil but the worms got there anyway.
