That 50% break efficiency is gonna be so op for dot teams that need break effects (especially kafka) and characters that do alot of break like asta and welt
can you tell me if i should i use my guarantee on ruan mei and save for her or just go all out on black swan for my kafka (e.g. sig lightcone)
@@terrellvolpe6651 Get black swan for Kafka, Ruanmei is good for imbibitor lunae. But she is overall good. Choice is yours.
@@terrellvolpe6651 Ruan Mei is a universal support not catered to specific playstyle. Black Swan specializes for DoT teams. If you main ONLY Kafka its better togo for Black Swan + LC. But you could also get Ruan Mei + Black Swan for kafka, imagine the insane DoT DMG
That’s the whole reason I pulled for her. My f2p account is sadly tingyun-less. Bronya is usually glued to my other team. Mei’s weakness break buff is so nice for my Kafka teams
@@miphasgrace8980 If you have the memory function unlocked do it up to a point, it should give her and yukong iirc.
You only need 160% break effect with her since one of her traces gives the whole team 20% break effect. It doesn’t show up until the battle starts
This is exactly what I thought would happen when they made HuoHuo. They are creating these slight energy issues so that you can solve them with her ult

In terms of Dual DPS I think Blade Jingliu would've deserved a mention since it's one of the currently functional dual dps comps. Wanted to know how much of an upgrade Ruan Mei would be. I also wonder about Silver Wolf Ruan Mei dual element if it'll be the best dual element for Silver Wolf.
She simply works with everyone.
Sw Good but i hate her RNG debuff and single target, so Ruan is way better +team buff + all enemy debuff
I am using that team currently and hoo boi its even better than Bronya in my case, I am replacing Bronya from now on for that team.

The issue is you'd often just prefer to play Jingliu, Bronya, Ruan Mei, defensive option instead. Since Bronya effectively lets you use the same character twice anyway but with more damage, while both Blade and Jingliu don't use much sp making Bronya skills extra cost a non-issue. It still works well of course, but I think Topaz + Follow-up dual dps comps make better use of her, same goes for mono Quantum with qq/Seele and Sw.
Something I haven't seen anyone talking about is how pretty any stage looks when her ultimate is active xD

Notice that she can delay enemies' turn when they try to recover, similar to frozen enemies. So the debuffs you applied will expire sooner, but it's a good synergy for DoT teams.

Every single 5* light cone feels like a character themselves. For the amount of buff they give.
The F2P 5* light cones are good but definitely not up there with some of the limited ones. Ruan Mei’s is top tier and people saying to go for E1 instead of it are flat out wrong

The comparison is kinda moot, because you'd never play Jingliu solo, so in reality it's more of a 10-15% increase vs other units like Pela and not 60+%

@@deliro8758in my jingliu team that consist jingliu, pela e4, tingyun e5 and fu xuan, is it worth to change the buffer/debuffer to ruan mei? if it's worth, to whom should i change her for?

She is so busted that while pulling for her lc i also got Welt's one and by using the tickets from her ascension i got he man himself. I literally started this game for him and havent managed to pull even one copy untill today😭😭😭 im so happy rn, exited to build both of them

@@AIEgg Bro, with them and Xueyi, they enemy is just broken all the time, and never has a turn. If you can cast Welt and Ruan Mei's overworld Technique, you basically stunlock your opponent every fight. 🤣
Weakness break efficiency is the first one that catch my eyes. Whenever I do SU and this buff card show up. It becomes my top priority
I always got the break efficiency buff in the simulated universe because its surprisingly good even when i dont need it (ie, kafka) and thats only 30%... 50% in actually insane

I don't think you need to worry about the 3 - 4 turns ult with her sig LC.
I mean if you're gonna pair her with hypercarry like jingliu and IL, I think it's fine since they're both burst dps.
So you really don't need a permanent or 3-turn uptime on her ult.
9:35 no, one of her trails already gives you 20% break effect, it just doesn't show up in the characteristics.

Normally I don't care about it, but congratz. Great material from Genshin and HSR, and always on point
But also dont forget that if you place ruan mei beside a tank that is always getting hit ruan mei will also get that extra enegy from being hit, making higher break effect builds more usable and still getting those 3 turn ults (but this often only works with characters like preservation trailblazer or march that can increase agro points on a charachter with her shield), but doing so wont guarrentee a three turn ult(but it helps to do so anyway)

Break damage in general depends on only two things: character level and break effect stat
What I really like about the Von build is that because of the secondary effect of the set, you don’t need to build much speed on her, in fact, you can just run the minimum of 120, and still go first. On top of that, her buffs are timed based on HER turns, so with your DPSs out pacing you after the first turn, you can get more value before she needs to refresh both her skill and ult.
finally, someone have same thought with me. I don't know why all players prefer speed boot. Her talent increase speed for team except her. The game want her to be slow speed!!!

Hi! I just came back to the game during argenti’s banner and I’m wondering on whether or not I should pull for ruan mei since I only have him and seele as my dps atm so I’m torn if I should I go for blade instead

use the old suport 2p personally. 8% atk for both of my dps (dot comp) is a nice bonus with how much % dmg mod we have now

I just want to ask, did i need 165+ spd for my Ruan Mei? (10-11+ from dps)
since my Kafka, Sampo and Guin all has 155-160 SPD
Wouldn't having a slow ruan mei be more useful for that skill point hungry team so that her buffs last longer tank mei with a ton of break effect is better than spd mei
You want to have lower speed for Ruan Mei
@@yoichikurosaki1369she's sp positive so fast Mei = more skill points. You might want her to be slower so her faster DPS can take advantage of her ult. That's why I like Vonwaq on her.
I like how you mention about S5 Memorie. But you should point that out the S1 Signature has ally damage bonus.
I kinda like the energy regen bonus l. That is just my take just don't get too serious.
He just tells you the energy bonus doesn't guarantee ults like memory, hence why that is on par. You get the teamwide slight dmg boost and miss out on the ultimate massive boost

Careful pairing with Seele! Sometimes Ruan Mei's break effect damage kills the enemy instead of Seele's attack, and thus Seele doesn't get her bonus turn.
This could be a bug, but we'll have to see.

@@deliro8758 just feels weird they'd have her be an amazing support yet debilitate a big factor in Seele's kit. All they'd have to do to fix it, is allow Seele's attack damage to "kill" the enemy, rather than Ruan Mei's break damage
They should just add the “this doesn’t kill the enemy” thing

it's like the 'use ult to deal final blow' on kafka, 'cause kafka's ult triggers DoT, hence it's not the Ult that did the final blow, even tho enemy is already dead w/o the DoT trigger
Apparently I only have an s1 Memories of the Past despite playing since launch. Swordplay is s2, too. Everything else I think I have multiple S5 copies, though. Sucks to suck I guess.

Res pen is a really amazing buff. But i really want the Blade and Jingliu duo dps. Now idk who to pull for. 😭
What does resistance penetration mean by the way?
@@ohthatwan8559 resistance to elements are basically like receiving less dmg to that particular element. Primary example irl is poison resistance. Those who have it may be less harmed by poison. And with resistance penetration (res pen), basically, it gives the ability for units to ignore those resistances as they are able to "penetrate" them.

@@user-kt2dp9wf1x your question is quite unclear but I understood it this way; does res penetration equal to 20% dmg buff? If it's that way, then yes. Because Res Pen is just another kind of damage buff. It buffs your unit's penetration to resistances, which basically means, it increases your unit's dmg as a whole.
Are you sure you want to do that? Because Jingliu will drain Blade, and Blade will drain himself to the point he's resting on 1 HP.

Well first 10 pull got bronya(which i didnt have) but luckily i saved enough wish to get ruan mie now the bigger question is will i habe enough resin to farm for trace mats for both... And as i go on i realised that harmony characters mats are well important and i should priorities more😂

It should since she isn't delaying the their action but more like canceling it out.

Edit: can confirm that DoT’s are stronger than ever with Ruan Mei. Now hitting twice in a row in scenarios where it would only hit once.

I have her at 9/9/9 already, but unfortunately my MotP is only S1, so I'm just going for a full BE build. She's at ~210% so far. I used Loucha, RM, Clara and Argenti as my team for the Borehole boss, and they shred that stupid bug to pieces.
remember she gets 20% extra from her talent while in battle, i got her light cone today and in combat she is at 288% break effect, so im changing to an ER piece
@@remnem Yes, but my MotP is only S1, which means even if I give her an ERR rope, she still can't Ult in 3 turns, so I'm just going for full BE for now, and once MotP is S5 then I'll switch to ERR rope.

Since Blade is in this banner, just wanna ask, is he at E0 way better than C6 Dan Heng? I don't have any other Wind DPS. But it looks like Ruan Mei is more universal, so works to improve most characters.
Blade C0 is already a good character on his own. But without his sig lc hes kinda weak imo.
@@stylen3395hes decent without his lc. I pulled for his lc recently but its more of a huge upgrade, you can live without it but the lc will sure to give gigachad dmg
