And then when I came back to her (months later of course) I'm wondering how I should build her with the arrival of Gallagher and of course her sister Hanya scales off break effect also.... So is Xueyi built the same or is it different is what I'm asking as of today Brax
One little detail that I like about Xueyi is that if you check her E6 image shes holding someones hand and its hanya's and if you check hanya's E6 its just the same that is the cutest thing😭
When you read the light cones "Under the Blue Sky" and then "Return to Darkness", you learn some of their backstory and it's heartbreaking. The lore alone gripped me in a way that made me want to invest heavily into Hanya and Xueyi. Glad they are good characters.
I wish she was of 5* rarity. It'd be interesting to see what more of an improvement she could have in a 5* state. Her animations are top notch as well.

I like how there are almost what you'd call arcs or phases for Genshin and Star Rail alike and we're in the Break Effect arc. For example in Genshin, around release it was heavily focused of ATK and nearly everything scaled off of it, then came 2.0 with Raiden with ER and everything started to care about ER a lot more and then Sumuru came and the EM arc started and now onto Fontaine the Max HP arc. So I find it kind of cool how these mechanics are being shown off and just a little thing I kind of correlate with good character kits and am happy to see what the next stat or effect the focus will shift to.
@@kylone1or maybe stamina.... then again the leyline disorder corresponding to cryo concerns stamina (increased stamina expenditure when sprinting or charge-attacking), so maybe we will receive an arc concerning more damage stats, like anything about critical striking and with Crit Rate and Crit Damage stat effects?
Another team to have in mind is Topaz Xueyi and Asta with a sustain unit like HuoHuo, and focus on her follow up dmg while asta is helping Topaz with fire dmg bonuses.
When Zinnia's theme kicked in at 6:28 I almost lost it. The nostalgia. I miss Pokemon ORAS. Zinnia was such an awesome character, her fight was epic, and her theme is an absolute banger. Truly legendary.
I think he's the best guide maker on the platform, not due to "how correct he is" but due to how its just an entertaining experience cause we all know to "put the quantum set on the quantum character" but watching Brax ur not just getting info, u do get entertainment and I think he does his videos well and that's why I think he's the best guide maker on this platform

I pulled for Ryan Mei and ended up getting her E3 within the first 40 or so pulls (she was the only four star I got, weirdly enough). I’m super happy since I wanted her ever since she was first introduced, so thanks for this guide!
I lucked out into E6 while pulling on ruan mei and IMO the higher Xueyi's Eidolon level, the more beneficial Ruan Mei becomes for her. At E0 Ruan mei already buffs the break output, same goes for E2, and at E6 the 50% break efficiency buff from Ruan Mei lets Xueyi deal 180 toughness damage, fully filling up her follow-up stacks and turning her into an absurdly ridiculous toughness shredder for bosses and elites. It's great XD
Very good guide, love the humor. If I were to add one thing: Wait for version 2.0 and the imaginary version of MC to come out. He, Ruan Mei - and Yueyi will (or might become) best buddies. And as long as you see her (E2+ version) as second DPS, which is trying to lay the ground for MC's DMG, you might assess her more fairly.
I made Fu Xuan, Xueyi, Ruan Mei and Sushang and I called the team "Break Queens". Sushang with her e1 makes it so the delayed toughness regen is actually not a bad thing at all.
for the record its not specificly quantum dmg bonus she gets from her passive its raw damage bonus but given you can only ever DO one type of damage it might as well say quantum damage bonus
The reason it’s different is because the way stats multiply make it greater to be a dmg bonus and not a Quantum Dmg bonus especially when you are doing Simulated Universe runs since there are so many different stats that effect your total dmg output that’s why xueyi is insane in simulated universe
I had to pause when you mentioned Bailu because I was going back in for more Tingyun and Xueyi Eidolons while going for E1 Ruan Mei... and I got jumped scared into E1 Bailu. Ive done about 80 pulls on each Tingyun rate up banner and she is only E2 now...
Same here! I wasn’t playing during JY’s banner, but when she was on Jingliu’s, I pulled about 80 times only to get her to E2. Then I did 120 on Ruan Mei’s only to get to E4. Like I’ve E6’d Xueyi, but E6 Tingyun won’t come home 😭 4s eidolons really can be pests when they want to be

When I summoned for argenti and Ruan Mei, it was because I wanted Xueyi and her sister Hanya, and thought it'd just be a bonus if I got the 5 star characters, unfortunately for Argenti I just got dupes of the other 2 4 stars I already had, as for Ruan Mei, I got her but not Xueyi...mixed feelings

Ruan Mei + Xueyi is really fun. Ult gives 6 karma stacks, so at e6 it's a guaranteed followup every time. even at lower eidolons the overflow mechanic allows 2/3 ults to trigger follow ups, and that's if she's the only one breaking. Not ground _breaking_ stuff but unique and still decent. It also destroys swarm disaster

I can be in the shittiest mood/super down, and I know that if I log onto RUclips and see a new vid of yours I will most certainly laugh out loud. Thank you for putting this incredible video out, as I got lucky enough to get her to E1 so far(hoping to get 2 and stop there for now). I got Ruan Mei at 70 pity and a copy of Xueyi in the same pull. Then I did one more 10 pull on Blades banner and got E1 Bronya and Xueyi (Amazing!) Question though, does Xueyi work well with Jingliu or would that team be too SP hungry? I want to use them together but also build a 2nd DPS team as I currently only have 1. Currently I am only Equilibrium lvl 2 and my units are lvl 50. I have Jingliu/Bronya/Ruan Mei/Huo Huo/Fire MC/Tingyun, and now Xueyi built to 50. I also have others like Asta/Sampo/Serval/QingQue etc Any advice would be great!
I pulled so much on ruan Mei’s banner and didn’t get xueyi once. Actually forgot that she was there cuz of that, kinda of a painful reminder. I’m just glad the new event allowed me to pick her so I could finally have xueyi
I went all in for Ruan Mei and ended up with a 6 Eidolons Xueyi and a 2 Eidolons Ruan Mei. As you may guess, I am in heaven!! They work beautifully together, but I agree with Braxophone that extending the break effect is a kind of anti-synergy. I think I wouldn't run them together if Xueyi had eight karma stacks, but in my current state, they are amazing!!! Honkay never disappoints.
Since it was not mentioned in the video, how does she perform in a follow up team? She gets stack through allies reducing toughness but only 1 per action. However, follow up attackers act alot. So it sounds good on paper
Kinda need E6 for this. E2 IS FINE but not that absurd in a follow up team. It will end up being fine. But i would just play hanya or an harmony there thb insted of her
i found playing ruan mei and xueyi together kinda frustrating, like it feels good at first but as soon as the enemies broken it just feels like you cant do anything for ages 😔
Just to put it out there, she gets ALL DMG up from the trace. So she gets a extra synergy from tingyun benediction buff and it's something to keep in mind if we ever get other buffs that work like that
I think this is definitely a character to keep an eye on with future characters. Obviously sparkle for Mono-Quantum, but maybe possibly another character that maybe possibly fixes the Ruan-Xueyi synergy?

A note about her technique because you brushed over it as a basic attack technique, which it sort of is. But the thing is it combos with her talent, so using her technique to open battle can give you a bunch of Karma from the start of the fight. I've started fights with 4 Karma because of it, so I think it's worth using if she's your main DPS on the team, and it still might be depending on your other units
I'm new to this game so I apologize for my lack of knowledge here. what do you mean by using her technique to open the battle? Don't u just walk up to the enemy and hit them with your basic attack? Lol
@@femmenic You are mostly correct as basic attacks will start a battle. However Techniques are unique character specific skills that are used outside of battle, some of which are attacks. Xueyi's is an attack technique, mentioned at 3:29. Another attack technique is Pela's which will start a fight but also inflict a defense shred debuff on enemies. A non-attacking technique is Tingyun which just gives herself energy before a fight So, the point of my comment is while you can use her basic attack to enter combat, but that only gives you like 1 Karma, but if you enter using Xueyi's technique, you can start a fight with 2-4 Karma, depending on the number of enemies weak to quantum

I low key feel like the judge sisters are Hoyo's attempt at a synergistic pair like you see in other gacha games. That pair didnt "ruin" my team building per se, but I'm actively having a hard time justifying running them seperate from each other. My only regret is not pulling for Huohuo to build the canon judge team lmao I feel like Huohuo's energy battery utility, the atk% increase, and cleanse would be the perfect way to round it out as a team core. With maybe Tingyun as the 4th to further atk% boost and energy battery. Just thinking out loud and tossing ideas around, don't mind me 😂😂
I see what you’re saying with Ruan Mei potentially having anti-synergy, but here is the thing, most enemies don’t typically survive more than 1 break if it’s not a boss, even from non-break effect heroes. Bosses may survive one but they’re usually crippled by it and they definitely don’t survive a second. Here you have 2 characters who have massive break effect, one of which DOES extend the break duration but also adds her own break effect to the current break. If they survive that they’re going down shortly after. You probably will never need to break an enemy more than once. So yeah. It’s anti-synergy in the sense that they will be weakness broken longer. But a dead enemy is an enemy who can’t hurt your team.
Nice build Brax, been a real help clearing the Trailblaze missions... (Xueyi, flex (typicaly Qingque), Silver Wolf, Lynx seems to be easy mode for me for some reason) any tips for someone without Belebog Bronya, rather than Brony Online?
So I’m main-ing Xueyi at the moment and I find Ruan Mei to be actually pretty good with her, I haven’t run into a lot of situations where Ruan Meis broken extension messes up the timing for Xeuyi.
I've been blasting all my stellar jades into pulling Topaz, as of recently focusing on Robin. I have since E6'd Xueyi and E5'd March and Hanya. I guess I'm learning how to build a couple of ten lords judges.
Im leveling up with Ruan mei and Xueyi, i love both of them, Xueyi gives rogue/assassin vibes, and she is also quite hot... robot or not -> Smash She is a lot of fun, also, noticed that most characters are naked in their E6 illustration? Space sealing station is nice until you look at her traces and abilities and see she gains straight damage bonus from with break effect. So not only does break effect increase break damage, and you always get the quantum break which is a lot of damage, then you see talia kingdom of banditry is the optimal choice increase the quantum break effect damage, which you will commonly last hit but staight up increases the overall damage of her entire kit anyway, so you're essentially double dipping with break effect in reguards to damage. With the fact you'll be plaing her with ruan mei, most likely, the armor pen is complimented with more armor pen from the quantum 4 piece set since armor pen is more effective, the more you stack it. The quantum damage from the quantum set is also nice because you want to go atk orb, if you were to go quantum dmg orb, it would be less effective to go the quantum 4 piece set for the quantum dmg. Since qantum dmg and atk% in damage calculations multiply by each other, you'd rather have a little bit of each as oppose to maximizing a single stat. This makes 4 quantum set better than 4 break set, with the exception of poor break substats. Although, you could make the arguement that everyweek you got to farm break sets so the substats will be better. In the end 4 piece quantum is just more damage overall and better synergies.
I wanna build her because presentation wise how she looks, she looks amazing. Duel weapons that turn into a javelin in ultimate is so cool. I do have seelie but rather use the 4star since she looks more fun than seelie
Xueyi is fine on enemy dense fights even with the break extension from Ruan Mei because of her "tallied karma" trace. If you know what you are gonna overcap on Karma, this would give you extra stacks for your break during the turns you have down time. The problem doesn't lie with her karma stacks being delayed, it's about whether or not you want to take advantage of early breaks to dogpile on early cycles or get there later without Ruan Mei (cause her breaking is a lot worse without). Do you want to burst an enemy down and go full send earlier to refresh a cycle back to neutral in MoC or have her wait for the next cycle? If your team is fully capable of clearing in 0-1 cycle then it's worth it to run early burst breaking because you can dogpile her quantum entanglement target for massive damage. Otherwise, just run the normal build and clear safer with normal break rotations instead (just keep in mind, you will be cutting it close for cycle count). If the enemy is single target, like Kafka... then you are really screwed because you won't have other targets to hit AND your teammates won't be able to hit other targets to get you karma stacks in the meantime during Ruan Mei's break. The only benefit of this is that you are able to rush a single target down really quickly and really take advantage of that builky break effect stat, damage increase, and delay to do whatever you want with the enemy; sometimes that's all you need for a single target that you want to shut down. I've seen people post her full combo being able to delete an entire boss break by herself which is nuts if you really think about it for situations where cycle count doesn't matter.
Yo bro, I'm interested in what you say. I got XueYi E6 after 110 pulls (without Ruan Mei... I got Bailu :( ) So what you mean is that if XueYi team can't clear in 0-1 cycle then use other sp (example: Bronya) will be better than RuanMei ? [because of Karma stacks]
Got her in the first day. Used her with Genius relics which where not leveled at all. Level 40. Used her on a level 64 boss and still won. I was sure i was gonna lose. But i did great.
Finally, a guide on her People reallllllyyyy focused on ruan mei, I feel like they forgot that THE MOST INTERESTING character got released alongside ruan mei Can't wait to hyper invest on her.
I've been waiting for someone to drop a good build guide on her. I actually wanted her more than Ruan Mei but after 50 pulls I got my Bronya to E2 🤦 but I'm still hoping to get a couple eidolons for her before the end of the update
Some of her moc run is really incredible, especially when she play in the hand of player know how to utilize her, she can really dish out some very very nasty dmg even in moc
I feel completely called out at 6:09... I did pull for E1 RM, did get E6 Xueyi somehow and at exactly at the cost of pulling a Bailu and god knows how many copies of M7th. For the love of god Bailu I did not need your E2 with Pure Fiction coming soon and my lack of both Himeko and Bronya as well as any limited 5* Erudition 💀
Can't wait for another break efficiency support that actually restores some toughness (special toughness that any dmg type can reduce, please) to the enemy on break for a potential double break. That'd be exactly what a unit like Xueyi or Himeko would need most.

Same here! I wasn’t playing during JY’s banner, but when she was on Jingliu’s, I pulled about 80 times only to get her to E2. Then I did 120 on Ruan Mei’s only to get to E4. Like I’ve E6’d Xueyi, but E6 Tingyun won’t come home 😭 4s eidolons really can be pests when they want to be

When I summoned for argenti and Ruan Mei, it was because I wanted Xueyi and her sister Hanya, and thought it'd just be a bonus if I got the 5 star characters, unfortunately for Argenti I just got dupes of the other 2 4 stars I already had, as for Ruan Mei, I got her but not Xueyi...mixed feelings

Ruan Mei + Xueyi is really fun. Ult gives 6 karma stacks, so at e6 it's a guaranteed followup every time. even at lower eidolons the overflow mechanic allows 2/3 ults to trigger follow ups, and that's if she's the only one breaking. Not ground _breaking_ stuff but unique and still decent. It also destroys swarm disaster
yes! i love Xueyi as new addtion. She's so great and easily replaces QQ in my mono qunatum lineup.

Thank you for putting this incredible video out, as I got lucky enough to get her to E1 so far(hoping to get 2 and stop there for now). I got Ruan Mei at 70 pity and a copy of Xueyi in the same pull. Then I did one more 10 pull on Blades banner and got E1 Bronya and Xueyi (Amazing!)
Question though, does Xueyi work well with Jingliu or would that team be too SP hungry? I want to use them together but also build a 2nd DPS team as I currently only have 1. Currently I am only Equilibrium lvl 2 and my units are lvl 50. I have Jingliu/Bronya/Ruan Mei/Huo Huo/Fire MC/Tingyun, and now Xueyi built to 50. I also have others like Asta/Sampo/Serval/QingQue etc
Any advice would be great!

I went all in for Ruan Mei and ended up with a 6 Eidolons Xueyi and a 2 Eidolons Ruan Mei. As you may guess, I am in heaven!! They work beautifully together, but I agree with Braxophone that extending the break effect is a kind of anti-synergy. I think I wouldn't run them together if Xueyi had eight karma stacks, but in my current state, they are amazing!!! Honkay never disappoints.

Since it was not mentioned in the video, how does she perform in a follow up team? She gets stack through allies reducing toughness but only 1 per action. However, follow up attackers act alot. So it sounds good on paper
She very good but if you use in a follow up team I don't think you can have a buffer

i found playing ruan mei and xueyi together kinda frustrating, like it feels good at first but as soon as the enemies broken it just feels like you cant do anything for ages 😔
but neither can they and that's good you can pound on them until they stop breaking.

Just to put it out there, she gets ALL DMG up from the trace. So she gets a extra synergy from tingyun benediction buff and it's something to keep in mind if we ever get other buffs that work like that
I think this is definitely a character to keep an eye on with future characters. Obviously sparkle for Mono-Quantum, but maybe possibly another character that maybe possibly fixes the Ruan-Xueyi synergy?

Dude, you make some great and awesome guides. I just have one minor nitpick....It's Cyno. I don't know what's gotten into you, but I looked at your guides before and AFTER his release. And ever since he came out, you've been just like him with these jokes....
A note about her technique because you brushed over it as a basic attack technique, which it sort of is. But the thing is it combos with her talent, so using her technique to open battle can give you a bunch of Karma from the start of the fight. I've started fights with 4 Karma because of it, so I think it's worth using if she's your main DPS on the team, and it still might be depending on your other units
I'm new to this game so I apologize for my lack of knowledge here. what do you mean by using her technique to open the battle? Don't u just walk up to the enemy and hit them with your basic attack? Lol
@@femmenic You are mostly correct as basic attacks will start a battle. However Techniques are unique character specific skills that are used outside of battle, some of which are attacks. Xueyi's is an attack technique, mentioned at 3:29. Another attack technique is Pela's which will start a fight but also inflict a defense shred debuff on enemies. A non-attacking technique is Tingyun which just gives herself energy before a fight
So, the point of my comment is while you can use her basic attack to enter combat, but that only gives you like 1 Karma, but if you enter using Xueyi's technique, you can start a fight with 2-4 Karma, depending on the number of enemies weak to quantum

I low key feel like the judge sisters are Hoyo's attempt at a synergistic pair like you see in other gacha games.
That pair didnt "ruin" my team building per se, but I'm actively having a hard time justifying running them seperate from each other.
My only regret is not pulling for Huohuo to build the canon judge team lmao
I feel like Huohuo's energy battery utility, the atk% increase, and cleanse would be the perfect way to round it out as a team core.
With maybe Tingyun as the 4th to further atk% boost and energy battery.

I see what you’re saying with Ruan Mei potentially having anti-synergy, but here is the thing, most enemies don’t typically survive more than 1 break if it’s not a boss, even from non-break effect heroes. Bosses may survive one but they’re usually crippled by it and they definitely don’t survive a second.
Here you have 2 characters who have massive break effect, one of which DOES extend the break duration but also adds her own break effect to the current break. If they survive that they’re going down shortly after. You probably will never need to break an enemy more than once.
So yeah. It’s anti-synergy in the sense that they will be weakness broken longer. But a dead enemy is an enemy who can’t hurt your team.
Nice build Brax, been a real help clearing the Trailblaze missions... (Xueyi, flex (typicaly Qingque), Silver Wolf, Lynx seems to be easy mode for me for some reason) any tips for someone without Belebog Bronya, rather than Brony Online?
So I’m main-ing Xueyi at the moment and I find Ruan Mei to be actually pretty good with her, I haven’t run into a lot of situations where Ruan Meis broken extension messes up the timing for Xeuyi.

I've been blasting all my stellar jades into pulling Topaz, as of recently focusing on Robin. I have since E6'd Xueyi and E5'd March and Hanya. I guess I'm learning how to build a couple of ten lords judges.
Im leveling up with Ruan mei and Xueyi, i love both of them, Xueyi gives rogue/assassin vibes, and she is also quite hot... robot or not -> Smash
She is a lot of fun, also, noticed that most characters are naked in their E6 illustration? Thats nice... wish it was more detailed, but you know, there is always rule34

Space sealing station is nice until you look at her traces and abilities and see she gains straight damage bonus from with break effect. So not only does break effect increase break damage, and you always get the quantum break which is a lot of damage, then you see talia kingdom of banditry is the optimal choice increase the quantum break effect damage, which you will commonly last hit but staight up increases the overall damage of her entire kit anyway, so you're essentially double dipping with break effect in reguards to damage. With the fact you'll be plaing her with ruan mei, most likely, the armor pen is complimented with more armor pen from the quantum 4 piece set since armor pen is more effective, the more you stack it. The quantum damage from the quantum set is also nice because you want to go atk orb, if you were to go quantum dmg orb, it would be less effective to go the quantum 4 piece set for the quantum dmg. Since qantum dmg and atk% in damage calculations multiply by each other, you'd rather have a little bit of each as oppose to maximizing a single stat. This makes 4 quantum set better than 4 break set, with the exception of poor break substats. Although, you could make the arguement that everyweek you got to farm break sets so the substats will be better. In the end 4 piece quantum is just more damage overall and better synergies.

I wanna build her because presentation wise how she looks, she looks amazing. Duel weapons that turn into a javelin in ultimate is so cool. I do have seelie but rather use the 4star since she looks more fun than seelie
Xueyi is fine on enemy dense fights even with the break extension from Ruan Mei because of her "tallied karma" trace. If you know what you are gonna overcap on Karma, this would give you extra stacks for your break during the turns you have down time. The problem doesn't lie with her karma stacks being delayed, it's about whether or not you want to take advantage of early breaks to dogpile on early cycles or get there later without Ruan Mei (cause her breaking is a lot worse without). Do you want to burst an enemy down and go full send earlier to refresh a cycle back to neutral in MoC or have her wait for the next cycle? If your team is fully capable of clearing in 0-1 cycle then it's worth it to run early burst breaking because you can dogpile her quantum entanglement target for massive damage. Otherwise, just run the normal build and clear safer with normal break rotations instead (just keep in mind, you will be cutting it close for cycle count).
If the enemy is single target, like Kafka... then you are really screwed because you won't have other targets to hit AND your teammates won't be able to hit other targets to get you karma stacks in the meantime during Ruan Mei's break. The only benefit of this is that you are able to rush a single target down really quickly and really take advantage of that builky break effect stat, damage increase, and delay to do whatever you want with the enemy; sometimes that's all you need for a single target that you want to shut down. I've seen people post her full combo being able to delete an entire boss break by herself which is nuts if you really think about it for situations where cycle count doesn't matter.

So what you mean is that if XueYi team can't clear in 0-1 cycle then use other sp (example: Bronya) will be better than RuanMei ? [because of Karma stacks]

Got her in the first day. Used her with Genius relics which where not leveled at all. Level 40. Used her on a level 64 boss and still won. I was sure i was gonna lose. But i did great.

I feel completely called out at 6:09... I did pull for E1 RM, did get E6 Xueyi somehow and at exactly at the cost of pulling a Bailu and god knows how many copies of M7th. For the love of god Bailu I did not need your E2 with Pure Fiction coming soon and my lack of both Himeko and Bronya as well as any limited 5* Erudition 💀
Can't wait for another break efficiency support that actually restores some toughness (special toughness that any dmg type can reduce, please) to the enemy on break for a potential double break. That'd be exactly what a unit like Xueyi or Himeko would need most.
