I was a bit disappointed, it seems like this is a very mediocre device yet your review went pretty easy on it, and i felt like it was because you had a promotional link. Being harsh, we have waited a long time for a whoop upgrade due to unreliability and inconsistency, yet this doesn't perform as well as its predecessor. I value your data so much and actually looked for an email so not to make this public, you provide such a great value

In your other videos you've put the Whoop 4.0 as one of the very best performing (top right quadrant) sleep trackers you have tested, far beyond anything from other brands apart from FitBit or Withings. In this test, it doesn't perform nearly as well. Can you provide an updated view showing more data over a longer period that reconciles its overall performance based on having used it for a longer period. Otherwise your videos are inconsistent.

I really appreciate your approach on evaluating the systems. But I can’t get over how you only took a sample size of 2 nights.
And yes I get it your findings show that there are cases in which HR is not correctly read and therefore sleep states are off. Thats fine. The only problem I see is putting it on a contingency table and stating that these are representative percentiles for measurement errors. You would need a much higher sample for this to be significant imo.
I would love to hear your take on this and again I really appreciate your videos.

@@Mediaroo1 Hi Tim. I think the Whoop data is super valuable. Case in point - this Sunday I woke up and under the "health" section it said my RHR was 63 when it's usually 57-58 (no more than 60). Guess what? I felt achy all through the morning and at around 11 AM I took my temperature and I had a fever of 100. That's just one example - the stats always let me know when I have a cold/illness coming on. I really am working hard on getting my HRV up. It's hard when you have a 2 year old and a lot going on in life, but it's my goal to get up into the 40s. Anyways, I really love my whoop.

Been using oura 2 for 3 years and it's dead. No way of replacing battery, oura will give you a mere discount so you can buy new one. Sad to see gadgets promoting themselves as helping us being better version of themselves have a business model not focus on sustainability but rather well growth for investors.

Whoop 4 sounds interesting but for right now and since I just got my Fitbit charge 5 (sale price 119 dollars), i will stick with this device for the time being - I dont use the Charge 5 premium feature. According to some of your charts, seems some of the Charge 5 is on par with the Whoop.
Subscription pricing of the Whoop 4 kind of turns me off at this time since I am on a tight budget. Would I benefit or understand what all the data the Whoop 4 would give me, I dont know. It is more for a Doctor or health expert to look at than a average person like myself. I want things simple, not all these complicated stats to decipher.
I have done pretty good without this kind of device all my life, do i really need to start now using a Whoop 4 device to tell me what to do. Anyway thanks for all your great videos, you put in allot of effort to explain these devices. take care.

Can't emphasize enough that the 4.0 has been barely out for a month while the 3.0 has several years of firmware tuning behind it. New sensors are going to require new tweaks to the algorithms.

I would never buy a Woop Strap because you're locked into paying $30 a month for the device to work. This is an unfair business model. At least Fitbit don't completely lock things down. Let me have access to my data using the hardware I purchase, dammit!
