They’re not real people, don’t treat them as such. Relate the events in the play to the audience and talk more about what Shakespeare intended.
Paco Jimenez 100% completely agree. All of this is interpretations and a suggested effective essay structure but the ultimate measure of your grade will be the clarity of your argument - and to do that you must focus on the writers intentions / message and always recognise this is the writers craft. Macduff is a creation of Shakespeare as a message to the world - don’t lose sight of that.
