That dish is incredibly good for your hair skin and nails full of collagen. My German mother would have loved this except for the cilantro I think. So if you don't eat it for the texture eat it for the beauty benefits. Thanks for the video.
I remember my mom cooking tripe one time for my dad and only my dad. I've never had tripe or cow foot. However! Ox tail, now that's where it's at! Love ox tail. The soup looks good, but I'm with you! Loved your reaction! 😂😁😂
The texture of the broth it the natural collagen from the beef. It’s extremely good for stomach and gut health as well as your skin. People from Asia and Africa are used to eating it with amazing results
@@TheBarePantryShow well just so you know I actually went and bought everything to make this dish and I swear it’s in my instant pot as I’m writing this comment. Lol. Seriously I can’t wait and thank you for the video from Northern California
@@TheBarePantryShow ok so I followed the instructions according to the video but substituted with paprika. It IS a different texture but one that I still enjoy. The collagen from the cows foot and the okra definitely thickens the soup. I will definitely make this again.
That was cowfoot you tried. The tripe would have actually been pretty good and not slimmy. Perhaps 2 hours of cooking would have been enough. If you exclude the potatoes and add maybe rutabagas or turnip roots, you would have an excellent healthy low carb keto diet soup.
I think so many ingredients are missing from this cowfoot soup, like, coco, carrots, some people brown some flour, one nice hot pepper, corn, just potatoes and ockro was in his pot
That's how cooking works. You put what you like and we put what we like. We never put carrots in these type of soups because it makes it too sweet. We only brown flour for seafood soups like fish, crab and conch soup. If you like coco, then put that. Did you just want to complain?

Even though I don't eat some of our authentic dishes, we introduced it to all of our kids. Our son Josh was the only one that took to it.

I love oxtail soup. But my favorite way to eat tripe is the Italian way with tomato sauce and grated cheese. It's really yummy that way.

Maybe that's why Joe and Josh looks so young. lol I can't get past the smell or texture.

I was wondering where Louis went...
Remove that lady from your taste test. She does a disservice to your otherwise perfect cuisine by spitting out stuff. Edit her out.
😂😂 it's her show smart person
How do you promote a cooked food when you publicly show that you persinally doesn't like it...
I like watching her recipes but who Joe, Joe is that necessary.
