This really is my dream job, my dads a small time contractor struggling to get clients because we recently moved. I want to make him happy by taking over his company and turning it to the biggest one in florida.
That’s a great goal to have… Don’t get discouraged because there’s going to be tough times but stick to it and it will pay off!
Just a thought but I think it’d be interesting to hear everything it takes to become a builder and what all you’ve done to get to where you are
Great idea! It’s a ride!!!!
Really? I didn’t want to bore people with that… Maybe I could do a sit down with Flair and make it like an interview situation? Thoughts? Any suggestions… (I’m all ears) 🦻
@@BradtheBuilder I think it’s interesting to see what goes into a success story but then again maybe it’s because I came from nothing and I’m now self made wealthy.
I’d say any style you want to do it in wether with flair or wether it’s going through the process by showing some of your very first homes and very first jobs and the schooling/ experience required, I would love to see it.
I highly suggest this as well! @Brad The Builder
@@BradtheBuilder I think it's a great idea
Lots of people would love to venture into the construction world and just have no idea how.
Brad you make it look easy and you’re a natural in front of the camera. I look forward to seeing a new video. Thanks for sharing your daily comings and going. Keep up the great work video and your company.
Would you like to see more “day in the life” videos?
@@BradtheBuilder that would be great. Honestly everything I’ve watch so far has been good. I went through the carpenters apprenticeship almost 30 years ago and loved the work but the union for many years was shady with several Business Agents going to jail and it was hard in the slower months trying to raise a family. I decided to go to school for mechanical engineering and it was a better choice. When you asked one of your framing contractors how much they were paying it reminded me of the scale I started at in 1990. 45% as a 1st year apprentice was $7.92 an hr residential and $14 and some change commercial/industrial. Scale went up 10% every 2000 hours ( around a year ) if you worked a full year without layoffs. I lived in northwest Indiana outside Chicago and it was tough with the steel mills laying off or closing down. Sorry for being long winded. You do beautiful work and it’s easy to see you and your company have some integrity. In todays market and economy with questionable work ethics from subcontractors to suppliers they can make or break a sub par company. Thanks for letting me ramble. LOL. Have an awesome weekend !
@@Telluridepilot Stewart, no need to apologize for reaching out to me! I love to hear from everyone and thanks for watching!
Have a great weekend🏖
Definitely the bus I've wanted to do some builds like that for fun. Making the custom furniture to the spots is a fun challenge.
I’ll work on video that shows what we started with and I have some videos during the process that I’ll be able to share with everyone. Video quality may not be that great of the build process because I wasn’t expecting on starting a RUclips channel.
More day in the life please! Love seeing you in action. Such a great leader on job sites and in the office.
For sure! The bus is a mint idea, ive always want to get an old bus and make a chill pad .. love to see more of what you do an what ur son's doin to that bush 👌👌
Absolutely loved this vid Bradley! Cant wait to see the full tour of your home!
I'd like to see the bus more. I liked the day in the life! This is good stuff. Keep up the great work!
Want to see more of your pretty assistant! Love all of the explanations! Let us see your finished projects!!! And, don’t forget the bus!🥰
If you're willing to share, I'm game to watch. You have a knack for what you do and it clearly shows.
You are such a warm, likeable and friendly man.
It was very nice and entertaining watching what you do.
Thank you for sharing what you do with us.
You're such an inspiration.
Why, thank you for your kind words… You sound like a wonderful person too❤️🎺
We need a full Cribs house tour and the short bus tour for sure.
Brad, I've looked for lots of wheelchair accessible home tours here on youtube, and nobody has really made any videos that have impressed me. I think it'd be awesome if you could put a video together highlighting all the adaptions you've installed in houses in the past. I know I have lots of ideas for when I build my house, but I'm sure there's a lot of things you've done that I could add to my list of necessities.
We do quite a bit of zero entry homes here in Lincoln Nebraska. Zero entry Shower, wider door ways, extra wood backing in walls for future grab bars, etc
Blake, you are only 1 hour from where I live, maybe I could come down and do a video of some of your barrier free homes you have built? Let me know
@@BradtheBuilder ready to collaborate whenever !
@@blakebuilders8186 Fancy seeing you here Blake! haha I sure do miss building your houses.
Next video I need you to start your video will your best SHEEEEWWW... FOR FLAIR!!!!! 🤣❤️
The algorithms keep getting better. Never been to this channel but I've been hypnotized. I rather enjoyed this.
Thanks for watching and welcome to Brad the Builder . I hope y’all subscribe and watch more of my videos.
Anything you can show is a bonus for us. Enjoyed your video very much. You are a natural for you tube.
Thanks Mary!
Show the bus!! that looks sweet. also great work on all those builds.. love the content
I’ll work on the bus Video for you!
Thanks for watching 🤠

I am a superintendent for a custom home builder right now and this is exactly how I plan to be in the near future.
Building my own model designs and providing real estate!
Good for you! Don’t let anybody steal your dreams👍🤠
I'm passionate about my trade/craft, but I am not wired to do what you do... I've known many builders like yourself Brad, and They were finally glad to retire( because then maybe people would leave them alone) and finally they were able to get some real work done..LOL
I believe it would be hard to shut it down after so many years of being wanted and enjoying it...Fun video, I wish you the best of Health and happiness 💪👀
It’s become the only thing I know… There are days when it is quite a Burton’s , but the rewards of seeing the homes get completed and working with the guys out weighs all the hassle👍. i’m going to stay at it for a little while longer… Thanks for reaching out.🤠
Loved this video!!! Show us the Church bus! My Grandpa was a general contractor. I find this so interesting
Tell your Grandpa thanks for watching! If he has any tips for me please let me know🤠
I think the behind the scenes stuff fits really well with this channel especially cause u do high end construction and so it's really cool to see all the things that need to be done that differentiate a regular house-build from a high end project. I think also in the future if u use a more insructional style for some videos like "this is how we do x" or "top 5 things you to do for x" it will make it much easier to organize those videos along a central theme that make them easier to title and consume and then if u have that in addition to the vlog style videos you can cycle through formats and be less likely to overuse either. Really like these videos hope u stick with it.
Daniel, that’s a great suggestion and I will definitely work on implementing your ideas! Thanks
Brad i would love to see a tour of your home. Just from seeing the kitchen briefly it looks like you have great taste and I love the style.i like everything you have shown in your videos so far. It looks like you do a great job and are very proud of your work.
He uploaded one recently.
The day in life was definitely interesting to watch and see and learn! Would be awesome to see more of these! Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for the feedback!
This helps me 👍
I'd love to see more of your house, the kitchen is gorgeous 😍
I like how you come back in a 30 days and a year. That's great for the homeowners!
It's sad that they're tearing apart a beautiful home. I understand they want their own mark but it seems sad.
You're not getting to tall for your hair, your forehead is just growing.
What if we need a Brad The Builder hat!?!
I love that your son is repurposing the school bus! I'd love to see more.
Thank you for the look into some of your other projects. I'd love to see each project as it comes along.
Thanks for the feedback! I will work on more videos on my home & the church bus!
Definitely need to get a tour of your home and the bus!
Clearly quality, integrity and communication are first priorities. Commend you for that dedication and ethic.
Thank you ❤️
Nice! I'm an independent finish carpenter and these are the kinds of homes i want to be building!
All of you videos are top quality. All your videos are amazing!!!
So many irons in the fire !
It's amazing how you keep up with everything.
I think the stress would kill me.
I’ve been doing it for so long that it is my lifestyle… I don’t know any different! I think I need a hobby?
Brad you can do it all, that church bus looks pretty cool.
I liked this video.
For me it's guys like yourself and 'Grouchy' Tom who are keeping any kind of respect in the building industry alive. 'Old School' is the ONLY school for getting it right. I had it drummed into as a kid, that you do it right the first time, every time. Regardless of your job/industry. Too often I see substandard work that has passed inspection and then been passed on to the consumer, who often will just sigh and suck it up rather than point out the flaws. Attention to detail is king.
Amen! The 1st time is the Right Time to do correctly… every time someone tries to take a shortcut on the job-sites it comes around and bites me in the butt! Also, the second time repairs costs more than the first time! (you were lucky to have a good teacher).
Sheeeeeewwwww!
Keep the videos coming Brad! I’m not even in the trade nor have any experience in anything you do but man you got me hooked to your vids. Keep em coming!
I think it is impossible to NOT enjoy one of your videos. I'd love to see more about both the school bus conversion and the tour of your home! Further 'day-in-the-lifes' would be great too. I'd love to see the progress on the homes you featured in this video.
Truly, you're killing it here, Brad. You are a natural at this for sure. I hope you enjoy the Life Uncontained channel we spoke about! Let me know what you think once you've seen a few! THAT would be a great video series here on your channel if you do decide to get one!
You are fantastic at doing this, Brad so don't hold back on us. Not every video is for every person, but I'm willing to bet your audience would tune in because you make these videos fun, interesting and enjoyable to watch.
Take care,
Heather🇨🇦
Thanks Heather!
I really appreciate your positive feedback. 🤠👍

hey believe it or not I plow your street in the winter ha! work for the county, other person retired and I got his route so if I put to much material down let me know.
Really! What a small world.
Since we only got 2” of snow this year ( crazy) I didn’t get to see you 🤠
Thanks for reaching out Chris!
Thanks Brad i would be interested in seeing the bus when done. Thats what i will being living in soon full time.
I have a video showing the completed bus!
Would love to see a tour of your house Brad!
Brad you’re hard worker man blessings to you and your family
Thanks Ricky… I really enjoy what I do so it doesn’t always feel like work❤️👍🎺
This was a very interesting video, we are currently in the process of building our house here in Tennessee, should be 2-3 months from completion. I would love to do something like this someday, seeing things you’ve created for years and years that many families will enjoy is satisfying.
Aaron, if you’re really passionate about building… I would suggest starting small maybe with a flip house to get your feet wet. You will make some mistakes but, that’s how you learn. I still make mistakes and they do cost me money when that happens! So if you start small the price of mistakes generally aren’t that big. It’s part of the education process and learning curve… every builder goes through it. (otherwise they’re lying to you😜)
Awesome video and great inside scoop. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching. I appreciate you reaching out to me.👍
I would love to tour the church bus
I will work on marking a video for everyone to tour the “Church Lady Bus”. It has turned out great!
More videos about the bus build ?
YES PLEASE ! 👍
Your videos are awesome I really look up to you and hope to be as charismatic as you one day. The day in the life of a builder was awesome

I'd like to see more of your house just to see what a builder does for his own home and more follow ups on the guys house that's in a chair.
Holy sh*t sir. Ur houses are jewels. Stunning is an understatement. Definitely would love a house tour n bus tour.

The deck built for the view? Wait until someone builds a 4 story house in front of them 😂
They can only build so high with the restrictions in the area! I hope we are good 👍
hehehe... "divide and caulker", I´ll definitively use that!
Missed opportunity with the bus horn! Very cool to see the behind the scenes look.
Darn it! I missed the Horn🙆♂️

Great video. I’m on my journey to become a General contractor / home building as well. Would be a great video if you can showcase us with information as to what it took to open this company, what was your prior experience, how did you get started, how was work early on starting etc.

House Tour for sure
Watching you clear your desk Ha Ha
I’ve been trying to clear off my desk for years🙆♂️
I live in a neighborhood where I built several houses... not too many people can say that..congratulations sir
You are right! Most people do not like their builders after the home is built ( usually it’s the builders fault!
Not a house builder but a luxury custom homebuilder. That makes things a lot better.
👍🤠❤️
