when i tell you guys this "break" was so forced .... omg.... i wanted to make videos so badly but i was. so crazy burnt out and animatics really take years off my life tbh! :D

I wish I had taken a gap year. I’m going to a daddy’s money school in Ohio to pursue art education. And while I don’t regret not taking a gap year, I wish I had to save up some money. My scholarship only covers very little, and I’m going into education so debt does not sound fun lol
If it helps, I didn't go for a graduate degree immediately after my BS because I wanted to save money... and I'm still trying to save anything, 5 years later, instead of being in constant debt... lol. (I was lucky with scholarships and have NO student loans. Just the regular debt of human existence)
Yeah SVA seems like such a great school and appears to have a fun, welcoming atmosphere, but DANG does it cost you $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I rlly want to get into sva but I’m worried abt not having a high enough SAT or ACT score :,D ( my preSAT score is a 970 and I just took the SAT a few days ago)(and apparently I need at least a 1110 score-)

The university I’m applying to asks for an animation in the portfolio, but they don’t specify what quality of animation they expect. I’m somebody who needs a lot of directions to avoid stressing out about something and this missing information is driving me crazy. Do they expect a fully coloured and polished animation? An animation exercise? I have no clue, and it is a requirement, it’s the only thing I’m stuck on, I’ve already figured the rest of the portfolio. Any advice would be appreciated

what's a program? hi i have a question how does it work? i've watched a lot of people that applied and for apply everyone use the same exercises. Like the sme juice box and those characters for storyboard practices.So in school they are teaching you guys that and later if you wanna apply you have to show?so pls can anybody tell how does it work?

Hey...is it necessary to attend any portfolio development classes or its ok if I work on my portfolio by my own to get admission?
it really depends! if you think portfolio classes would really benefit/you could use the extra help (and you're honest with yourself and your abilities/work ethic) then i would really encourage it!! you might as well look into your options nearby/online, perhaps, and talk to people who have taken them and see how it helped!
