Hey, I know you made his video a long time ago but, I would need help with sizing, for some reason it opened very large and I cant find any help on this
Hello! Apologies for the late response but the ideal size range should be under 850 pixels in height; I mention it briefly in the video as well. You should be able to zoom out in the program by holding CTRL + mousewheel.
I have no practical use for a pngtuber but I've successfully created one of my oc and it is bringing me so much joy 😂💖 Thank you for this wonderful tutorial
@@faerieliights they just each open up their pngtubers in their respective programs and do a multiscreenshare discord call! that way it looks like their OCs are talking to each other
Went from having no idea how to make anything do anything or how to read what the functions even do... to now I drew up my own custom model that floats, stretches, squashes, has rotating limbs, toggling, and all that. Now, all I gotta do is make another one!
Just used this tutorial to make my own little PNGtuber! Thank you so much for this video it was so beginner friendly. It really shows how easy it is to make you own if you're ok with having something super simple. Of course getting a quality detailed one requires honed art skills but for just playing around? Im happy with my blobby little dude that blinks and bounces as I talk. And its so exciting when you can do something for yourself.
You've made this whole concept go from I could never to omg I did it! I really appreciate how descriptive and example-heavy this tutorial is! Much love and thanks
I was looking at the art, and the finishing up lineart and colour part followed, and i looked over at the number of layers and nearly cried, im not organised enough for this, but I will eventually be willing to take it up :") Thank you for the tutorial
It'll feel like a lot, especially if you're very new to cutting layers! Cheering you on! You can always make a backup copy of your refined layers, and then merge some components further!
Just CAME BACK to tell you how helpful this tutorial was ! My PNGtuber looks absolutely adorable thanks to you~ Everything from the explanation to the edition was *chef kiss* . Thanks a lot again for making such good content !!!

A friend sent me this video while I was talking about having a model on-stream and I just finished my first one with the help of this video, thank you so much! It’s been a great guide to work with! :D
I just want to say thank you SO much for this tutorial. For the last couple of days I've been working on my pngtuber, and I'm almost done! Your tutorial has helped SO much, so thank you!!
So well made! It took me only half a day to finish my first PNGtuber thanks to this video, and I'm getting so many ideas now that I have a grasp on how everything works. Should've found your channel months ago when I was hesitating to get this done because I didn't know how to start! Also your model is so stylish and cute
I'd never heard of this pngtuber software til now and I'm amazed at what it can do, also your pngtubers look so cool!! thank you for the very comprehensive and easy to understand video, I will definitely be exploring it in the future!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I currently use discord reactive images for my streams, but this is so much more helpful, you're absolutely fantastic. This was INCREDIBLY beginner friendly, I heavily appreciate you. This deserves a subscribe
THANK YOU so much for this video omg I was STRUGGLING with the official written tutorial so bad and this actually helped me in ways that one could not.

THANK YOU for this!! The tutorial included is great but it's a little simple, and your explanation of how to crop your images was super helpful. I didn't even know you could make more complicated models like the fullbody you mentioned
thank YOU for using it! i tried to provide enough foundational knowledge for folks to experiment with! imo best way for folks to learn and create unique models is to take basic skills and apply them even the fullbody model i showed at the end uses only very basic techniques! i hope you're able to have fun experimenting yourself! 💖
thank you so much for this! I’ve wanted to make videos/stream with a pngtuber or vtuber character for a while and this is probably the easiest way I have found :D
Wonderfully explained and now... I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY MAKING MY OWN. Thank you for this! I was always so scared to try this program out cuz new things freak me out. But watching you do it step by step, makes me feel safe to try it hahaha

Thank you so much!!! I was super scared to jump into this bc I thought it would be really complicated but your guide was super easy to follow and helped a lot :DD I managed to set mine up super quickly after I drew all the parts thanks to your help :)
Here's a tip for exporting! In CSP if you save the file as a .psd you can import it to krita and use the macro there to export everything as layers! Took me less time to download krita than to export even half of the layers last time i did this in csp lol.
Create an animation folder and make a timeline, Animation> edit track> Assing multiple cells (B) Assing cell by name File> export animation (Y) > Export animation cells pick PNG and where you want to save
What an excellent, well-explained tutorial. I have zero experience with this but I feel confident that I wont have any trouble making my own avatar now. Thank you!
This tutorial was so fun to follow and made this process really easy, thank you! Id love to see your process for the higher-detail model you showed, but all-in-all, this was great! thanks!
I unfortunately didn't record my process for that, but it was identical to the mini one I made for the tutorial! Just a lot more time spent on the art itself LMAO
This is by far the best tutorial I’ve seen for setting up a pngtuber!! also I CANNOT place what Pokémon city theme it is at around 6:00-7:00 and it’s driving me insane 😭
hablo español... muchas gracias por tu tutorial, es el más completo que vi hasta ahora, me encanto demasiado y te agradesco mucho, dibujas muy bien y tienes mucho talento
while this video didn't answer 100% of my questions (I'm still wrestling the mic sensitivity - it seems to detect my fan better than my voice despite full speaking volume directly into the mic???), this 100% clarified the confusing UI and made the whole app feel much more intuitive. I still wish I could pan my camera view though without moving the whole avatar lol
PNGtuber+ has very limited audio adjustments; if its detecting your fan consistently, see where the green bar peaks on average while not speaking; adjust the slider to the left of that peak to help reduce background noise. Does your mic have directional sensitivity? If so, check that its facing you properly. Would also recommend double checking that you have the right mic detected in PNGtuber+
i just found a way you can export all layers at the same timeISH so you need to export it as a psd, then import it into photopea (a web-based photo editor thingy) then in the file tab theres an option called "export layers" theres like 3 options that are automatically selected just unselect them and then you can export :D ALSO make sure you name your layers with names that dont have any special characters because each png will keep its layer name and you cant export afterwards (though you should already name them as you go for easier navigation) this is a lot of steps but when theres a lot of layers to export this is a huge time saver
I'm gonna be da talk of da town thanks to u 😎 lol thanks for the tutorial, i felt like i was dealing with a mythical fae that wanted several years off my life before i could get this to work
Hello! I'm having an issure with my pngs? When I turn Texture Filtering on, I get these small weird black pixels around each png? Its okay when I turn it off but then I get these jagged lines whenever the png moves. Iv researched around and found that its apparently because of the way you export the image? I tried exporting them in multiple different softwares, but i havent found a fix. Im wondering if any1 knows what to do? Any info would be greatly appreciated 🙏 thank you.
I'll try and give this a shot with my next personal model! will report back if i figure anything out, but my guess is if the edges of your png model arent pixel perfect (think fully opaque, clean edges), any artifacts will be emphasized

I know how to draw on a sketchbook, but I cannot draw on a digital tablet. Its kinda difficult for me. So what I do is take a picture of my work from the sketchbook and then pass it over to my PC and then work with it on photoshop.
I suppose my biggest issue is that I may have made my sprite too big and it fills the entire frame. Is there a way to fix this outside of resizing everything? Edit: Nevermind I found your comment and fixed it, thank you ^^
Thank you for the tutorial! I have a question if anyone can answer - How do you cut for long hair? If I want the neck to be long so the body can move, I don't know where to put the long hair (with the head? half with the body?) Thank you!
Very good tutorial!!!, tho I have to say I spend about 20 minutes trying to delete the example model, and it's still there, somehow the trash can doesn't work, acually nothing on the editing part works
Hi I was wondering if you would go into your process of recording your pngtuber/pngtuberplus animation? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but OBS seems to cause lag and a significant quality drop in windows recordings. 💕😭
How do you save position of reference point in Clip Studio? If i move this point, press OK, then again transform layer - reference point again stay in center
as far as I am aware, CSP will always reset it to the center! since the origin point in CSP is separate from PNGtuber+, you can set it properly in PNGtuber+ when you rig!
So we are limited to two states for mouth animation, mouth open and mouth closed? I animate my character right in OBS using the OBS move plugin, and I have 4 states for the mouth from closed to open. The animation is much smoother and better looking.
Just two states, but you can add animated mouth forms using animation sprites! I go over it in my part 2 tutorial: ruclips.net/video/sclshhEgShw/видео.htmlsi=vK7uzF1WwSvS536j
Yes, but you have to tie them your blink or speaking toggles (and they won't be smooth animations either, just on/off ones) Make a duplicate of whatever layer the effect is on and color it a little differently (i.e. for glasses shine, I'd have two identical ones, with one having a glare effect) You can toggle these with speaking/not speaking/blinking to mimic an effect!
I want to use this program but when I go to edit a specific element (like body/eye/etc) the options close the second I click on them. Maybe a reinstall is needed??
try a reinstall; it sounds like something accidentally got toggled to mouse click (which auto closes the editing ui since the program is assuming you're purposefully hitting a keybind) if you still run into trouble, give me an exact rundown of how youre navigating the UI
this program is good but it does way too much if you just want a basic pngtuber all i want is for it to float when i talk and be still when im not and i feel like im doing rocket science just to figure it out
I'm having problems with my png tuber, when I click on the left tab it closes, no matter which option I click on it closes, I can't delete items or configure it, does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

Yes, but you have to tie them your blink or speaking toggles (and they won't be smooth animations either, just on/off ones)
Make a duplicate of whatever layer the effect is on and color it a little differently (i.e. for glasses shine, I'd have two identical ones, with one having a glare effect)
