Been riding with a FarSports FS1 all season and it's been great. Chose it because it works with my Giant TCR, and the fact it came with a Garmin mount. Nice see that others like EXS following suit with free proprietary out front mounts. Bit ridic dropping big loot on a fancy bar like ENVE SES Aerobar and then paying extra for a computer mount.

Thanks for this, I have just ordered one of the EXS Bars for my gen 6 Trek Madone, this bar solves a big problem I have with the Madone, which is the crazy long reach on Trek bars, fir some reason Trek think the bar reach should be 93mm 🤷‍♂️ I guess that’s fine if you fit a shorter stem, but when I’m already on a 9cm stem which is the shortest Trek make for the Madone then it becomes a problem, I was actually going to sell the bike because I can’t get the fit the same as my Aethos 🙄, I think the EXS bar looks great too, really looking forward to receiving it now 👍

I went from a 100mm stem canyon cp to an 80mm farsports f1 in search of shortening my bike's reach and it ended up being a wash because the area where the shifter clamps is safe to put is lower and forward on the F1 and on the canyon i was able to shove then further up and back. That should be a consideration for anyone trying to do the same.

I prefer the smoother, less boxy look of Roval. Value for money for either seems pretty equivalent to your Roval sample if you factor in the lifetime policy and warranty (not a big deal for a $6K-$8K bike). As for weight..that doesn't matter if the thing is not strong - I would want to see what the CF repair guy says about the internal construction.

I chose to go with the Roval bar for the SL8 I'm building up. Yes, it's more money, but IMO the extra $150-$200 is worth it for two reasons. First, the aerodynamics of the SL8 were designed with that bar in mind. Second, the warranty and crash replacement policy on something as crucial and exposed as a handlebar is a big deal. The EXS looks like the best alternative, though. More competition is a good thing.
FWIW, it's a shame you didn't weigh the EXS with both the steerer shim and the out front mount, or the Farsports with the steerer shim. That would be way more accurate when comparing the three.

Bro, I am dialed in on my 2021 SW Venge with 420mm roval aerofly II with 6deg stem . I want to switch to 380/400 mm farsports EXS bar, what stem size would you recommend, given the far sports ( or exs) bar has 10deg angle. I dont know how much difference will that make. is your GC10 code still valid? Thanks a lot!

    • @GCPerformance18

The angle is not that big of a deal it’s 4 degrees. Your body will get used to it and acclimate to it

That's what every bike shop should do to save the industry - providing professional services such as mixing components and offering best value to customer. Big companies like Trek and Shimano design incompatible components purposely for their own profit. They need to learn the lesson.

I decided not to upgrade my SL7 S-Works handlebar to this because 1. Cycle computer's viewing angle is too flat ... and 2. It's a bit annoying to take off the entire handlebar (instead of unscrew and turn) to fit your bicycle in a hardshell case when traveling.

Nice comparison and heads up on the head tube length. Seems like the tube is a bit too low on your setup with the spacer, was that just for demonstration purposes, or do you thinks that's enough tube length ?
I am still using the 5mm spacer on top of the stem, and headtube all the way up, has that changed with these integrated bars ?
It does look better, but is it safe enough ?
    thanks !

Oh man, that EXS one piece is sexy as hell, makes me wanna smash that bike just by looking at it. I have the s-work aerofly II, the issue I am running is that the hardware plate that holds the computer mount inside the stem plate breaks very easily and it's not replacable. With these one piece, the computer mount goes directly into the handlebar. You can easily take it off when you travel
