Join me as I explore a mysterious forest in Germany, capturing its beauty on #35mm film with my Leica M7 and Minolta CLE. I focused on black-and-white photography but also shot a few in color. Plus, I gave medium format a try for the first time. If you’re into film photography, I hope you’ll enjoy seeing what I captured.

Started playing in my head immediately
What an interesting location. I call fog nature’s photoshop plugin because it basically transforms almost anything into something special. This was amazing. I look forward to seeing more of your work. This truly inspirational.
@@johnlarsson4437 I totally agree. Fog is just a cheat code for moody pictures. Thanks a lot for your kind comment! 😊
Wow!!!!!!!!!! Stunning Location, loved the images!!!. Thanks for your work.
@@maxwellwellmax878 Thanks so much for commenting! I am so happy about it. 🫶

Amazing photography, stunning location. Subscribed!
Great! Thx. :)
Wow richtig nice. Das Wetter war dafür echt perfekt 🙃
Bei mir kommen hoffentlich auch bald die ersten Ergebnisse vom analogen Fotoshoot.
Danke dir. Bin gespannt! :)
The loose 120 roll is caused by lack of tension in the springs in the right hand film chamber (the take up side). Gently pull out the springs until they are exerting more force on the film roll.
@@photobobo I currently try to understand it. 😅
But when and how should I have noticed it?
And why is it working with other film without any problems? :)
Thx! 🙏
I like the funky style of the Foma for portraits 😊 and the other foggy pictures are looking amazing ❤

Awesome pictures! Usually im not a huge fan of HP5 buy they play very well with this gorgeous location! Did you develop it particularly or push process it?
@@xwingfighter999 Hi welcome here. :) Thx for the comment! The HP5 is pushed one stop. :)

Great video and photographs, I loved the 5:51 one, reminded me of The Cure's Seventeen Seconds album artwork which seems fit!
Great! Thanks 🙏

@@freaker126 thx!
Which forest was this exactly?
It’s called „Gespensterwald“ and it’s located near Rostock in Germany.
Sehr cooles Vid. 👌🤩
@@PeRi-tm7zu Dankeschön! Freut mich, dass es dir gefallen hat. :)
Really awesome place! I would love to go there sometime. Would be great if it had a little lighthouse by the shore 😁
@@ColtonMatocha Absolutely. In the city nearby there is a lighthouse but there is no stunning nature around. Thanks for commenting! 😊
Captivating images, and a very interesting location! I first thought it might be Zingst (never was there, but I've seen some images from friends that had some resemblence). Maybe I should do a trip there over 2 or 3 days, but weather conditions might be an issue (too far away to "just drive by", even when I'm visiting relatives in Berlin) - looks like being best visited in winter, right? Regarding Foma film stocks in general: Sometimes of bad quality, even new. I would not use it in 35 mm, maybe in 6x6 or 6x9, but even on 4x5 the Fomapan 400 and Retropan 320 are not appealing to me. I'm in the process of trying out Fomapan 100 on 4x5 to save some money, and it is well regarded by some photographers.
@@c.augustin Thanks so much for the detailed comment. I also decided to stay away from this film stock for now. I actually got this roll as a present to test the camera but I would not buy it myself again. The location is on the Baltic Sea near Rostock (Warnemünde). I was there for 10 days and there was only one day with these conditions. You would probably have good chances to see the forest like this in the early morning though. I did not try that. :)
@@Ilibu Yeah, I found it on Google Maps, and I think I've heard of it before (Zingst is not that far away, at least not as far as Dithmarschen ;-)). Early morning would be no hindrance, but it would definitely need to be on vacation there. Not for the foreseeable future, but I'll keep it in mind. Regarding the problem with the not tightly enough wound 120 roll: This is a very common problem for me with all my (old) MF cameras (folders and TLRs), mostly with film stocks that have "slippery" backing papers (had it even with Kodak stock, but mostly with Lomography film). I thought it would be specific to these "oldies", but it seems to be a more general problem with the backing paper.
Subbed bro :) great video :)
