Hi from Oz, thanks again for a very helpful video. I only wish I had your skills in seeing the opportunities that you do. It's a gifted skill mate, thanks for sharing it & helping the less fortunate (ha ha ha ).
Beautiful array of images, William, to prove your point about the mid-range lens - straight up through the canopy, abstracts, capturing blue mist, sunrays, last of the snow, backlit... just wonderful. Through your eyes I have seen a Beech Forest from remote, dusty W.A. Thank you, thank you.
Thanks William, your separation and post tips were a game changer for me. Have previously photographed redwoods in Otway ranges and always disappointed with my results in such a beautiful spot. Went back armed with your knowledge and difference was chalk and cheese - awesome. Thanks so much for the explanation.
Super helpful, thanks. Was hiking through the forests of Mt. Shasta in northern California yesterday and was able to apply these techniques to my photos today.
I haven’t watched it yet but I know it’ll be great 🤣 so bump! I’ve a suggestion request 😁 how to shoot waves! It’s harder then I thought ! I can give you a laugh though… 😇
What a forest. Looks as lush as our temperate rain forests here in the PNW.
Very similar for sure :)
Love that forest :)

@@WilliamPatinoPhotographyShot photos a week ago using tips you shared a while back. Processing some of the more difficult ones this week.

Excellent video
As an aside started shooting handheld, More intuitive and freeing technique,
Thanks! Glad to hear :)
are u able to get such low shutterspeeds, handheld, due to the quality of the camera?
Yeah it’s stabilised quite well. Most modern mirrorless cameras are. Plus steady hands, practice and technique :)
@@WilliamPatinoPhotography nice, im still lugging around a tripod for my classic nikon dslr😁
