Now this one is difficult. How the hell do you fight Geese? Great defense and great offense. He has a couple of short-comings that are not so obvious at first that we can take advantage of. Make the most of those because if not this is going to be much harder than it has to be
Geese is one of those character that, even if they nerf him a lot, he's still a really tough character to go against. I think nerfs never affected his play style
man i had no idea the first hit of his mixup string was a high, and i also had no idea powercrush was a high. its the most annoying part of not having certain dlc characters downloaded, its impossible to tell if certain moves are high or mid
Great video, MainMan. Very informative and really shows just how difficult Geese is to deal with. The biggest problem I have with Geese is that, though he lacks long ranged attacks, his reppuken nullifies your long ranged options and forces you to close the distance and fight at his ideal range.
The very reason why he has the reppuken in most games is to force non fireball chracters to come at him where he is so strong. It also allows him to engage in fireball wars with chi users as well as do a guess keep away game with grapplers if he choses(since he is a semi grappler as well). All in all, Geese is a very versitile character in kof as well as in Tekken.
Thanks. The only Geese player I've played spammed ground fireballs the entire match. Lost two rounds trying to figure how to get to him by sidestepping or jumping. I eventually won by being a spammer myself excpet the guy couldn't crouch block and got hit every time. Might just be new players but they give characters like Geese and Akuma bad image in my opinion.
Amazing guide Adrian, but I'm not agreeing about spamming unsafe moves, it's true he cannot launch you at level 0 of his meter but... He Can punish with all the guaranteed stuff such as 2f1qcb23 or 4
What a classic details you gave us. Now I am sure I can play against him easily. Plus why are you so kind MMS? Please one guide for Negan as well thank you so much
XD When I first decided to get Tekken 7 I bought Geese as my first character. I like the idea of Akuma being in Tekken 7, but I've never played KOF before. I got interested, and since he's SF inputs as well, it was very easy for me to pick em up.
@@ibblue0710 I am proudly, cause I've supported his game but I deserve to play with ease cause I main Mishimas, and Geese so gotta take a break from execution sometimes
b+3 still tracks that side even after the nerf. He's right. Stepping right against Geese is bad news bears especially if he has meter, which is all the time.
Duck the powercrush. Lowparry her stupid ballerina like spins and sidestep her back turn OP dmg as hell launcher. Also one of her hopkicks is launchpunishable at -15.
problem is i dont want to buy this crap character just to lab him, and since he is a dlc character not many people play him, wich makes it hard to get used to him! even a mediocre player could beat my ass with this unknown character!
Jose 95% of Tekken players started Tekken cause of its 3D gameplay and 3D characters. Many also started cause of its martial arts focus, these guest characters are just the opposite of what Tekken is and stands for. Fireballs? Nah, that aint Tekken. Yes you could point out Jinpachi and Devil Jins lasers, but those characters were created to be bosses or sub bosses. They were meant to be different to make people more hyped. Geese and Akuma with their meters just destroy the gameplay, its just BS. Of course, there are Tekken characters that are weird but the difference between them and the guests is that they are classics and we grew up with them, they have a nostalgic feel. They move and fight like Tekken characters too, unlike the guest characters. I would be fine with the guest characters if they made them entirely Tekken style, no fireballs, no weapons, no meter and no weird ass sloppy animations.

I don't think any Nerf should effect a character playstyle
@@Esthoneal I think it depends on the character.
However, I agree with you.
Unless you’re a Gigas or Lars main lol
3 uploads in 1 minute good job mainman
What I learned: Stay far, sidestep right, can't launch with no meter, delay your pressure, good luck.
man i had no idea the first hit of his mixup string was a high, and i also had no idea powercrush was a high. its the most annoying part of not having certain dlc characters downloaded, its impossible to tell if certain moves are high or mid
Yeah I bought the dlc characters just for the lab. Not cool Bandai Namco. Let us use all the characters just in practice mode.

Just make sure you don't dish out any mids when you apply wall pressure. Geese will turn the tables on you.

I hate freaking fighting Miguel as Geese because of the ranged problems alone lol.

He's not really saying to spam them, just to use them more often than you normally would since the risk-reward is more in your favor.
This is why every time u fight him he’s gonna be so hard to beat
the good thing is that d1+2 is reactable since it's around 23f. But yeah good luck reacting to that online and everytime.
it's maybe just me but i have serious trouble to react to lows that use hands/elbow/arms, king, miguel, steve i just can't see it comming.
