Overall the way he acts trying not to start wars with Odin was odd because everyone goes through stuff but as Atreus says before freeing "Tyr", if he was imprisoned by Odin and he was freed his first target would be Odin and it makes sense so it was odd seeing Tyr act very traumatized and wanting nothing to do with a war against Odin
Furthermore, it was weird how easy it was to free Tyr in the first place. Think about how powerful Odin magic and power is. They had to cut Mimir's head off to free him. They had to go through hell to free Freya of her realm curse. The fact that Tyr was so easily freed was suspicious from the jump now that I know why.

A subtle hint: right by the start after we found this Tyr, the subtitle of Odin’s Tyr is without the symbol above the y, which is Tŷr, this shows that the Tyr we’re talking to all along is fake
Tyr calling Atreus Loki every single time was a major giveaway that it was Odin. Lol I have wondered why he keeps calling him that and I didn't even get it. 😂
I said it in my walkthrough, no way wooden doors would hold Tyr back. It just all made sense, I thought he was calling him that because Atreus mentioned it before, now it makes sense. I knew something was fishy when he didn’t want to fight against the guy that imprisoned him though, even at all. Just didn’t make sense. I was definitely not paying attention as much as I should’ve, but now I know for other games to always pay attention, this was a wake up call of all wake up calls.
If was possibly deliberate too. By calling Atreus Loki, he constantly kept reminding him of his heritage as a Giants, one who wasn't under Kratos' firm influence as Atreus was. Odin benefitted from the rift created between father and son.
SPOILER: The real Tyr is alive and well the whole time in his cell after the games finale you can interact with him as well. But he lost some of his memory somehow manages to remember Kratos by name 😁
Now that I think about it, Odin actually managed to "break" Kratos. It felt like Kratos was struggling between burning Asgard to the ground for killing Brok and the betrayal, and being under control. He just breaks down. On another note, I think if Odin had hurt Atreus, I think Kratos would shit of Asgard so bad like his personal diaper, or his Ass Guard, if you will. Ha ha.
I think everyone in the room thought it was a little sus. Even Freya looks kinda shocked that Tyr is willing to fight again over this mask. But people believe it's Tyr so nobody is up to question it. Mimir and Kratos even call it to question, but again, "Tyr" is a god so they kind of trust and go a long with it. Brok being Brok, not only clever but brash, rude and always honest just calls the bullshit right out. If it was gonna be anyone to figure it out, it definitely had to be him.
Another thing, characters constantly use the "oh we have a way in, just follow me, it's an old secret thing I know" all the time. So we don't question when Tyr says it and everyone goes with it.
This blew my mind! Odin as Tyr pulled of a Liquid Snake as Master Miller moment from MGS1! Holy sh*t…And poor Brok, I legit had some tears in my eyes seeing him die. 😢

I suspected something wasn't right with Tyr when the house got attacked and he came out when it was over holding just a Shield - it just didn't feel right even with his refusal to fight - but this twist genuinely floored me, I thought if something was going to happen it would be either he was working for Odin or Odin had done something that prevents Tyr from fighting - not that it was Odin playing pretend lol
I damn near screamed as this unfolded! I predicted this given the way "Tyr" reacted earlier in the game when they were in Alfeim and saw the prophecy of Asgard falling while the other realms flourished.

@@arlisceka5059 side quest. The real Tyr is alive because according to Mimir and Freya it's possible Odin needed him to be alive to be able to take his form.
My three favorite things about this incredible twist/scene: - Brok, who may come off as the “dumb” one because of how he talks, is the only one to recognize that something is off - In the middle of Odin/Tyr yelling “DO YOU NEVER SHUT UP?”, the subtitles switch in the middle from saying “Tyr” to saying “Odin” is speaking - When Kratos throws the spear through the mask, it pierces the same eye that Odin is missing
I expected Týr's betrayal or something when he had those crazy eyes in Alfheim, but I never landed on this conclusion and while sad and devastating, its an amazing plot twist that changes EVERYTHING you thought you knew.
Kratos told Atreus that if they don't find Tyr in the mine, Atreus would stop his quest. They never did find Tyr in the mine, after all. So, "We are done" is quite approptiate. Yet, I know it was also the loss of Brok that affected him.
if you look closely at "Tyr's" right arm when he stabs Brok, you can see it glowing purple. Odin was likely using his powers to enchant the knife to pierce through Brok's Chest Plate

The way to avoid spoilers is whenever u happen across a video of a game ur playing, take it off recommendations or say “not interested” whatever it is. That way youtube won’t have it in your feed. I did it for this game and I never got any god of war in recs
I think the biggest giveaway that Odin is disguised as Tyr is the eyes. Tyr and Mimir both have jeweled eyes yet Tyr has both while Mimir when we first met him only has one
Well, Odin saw his son and two grandsons' death through his raven familiars, so this indicates that he could hear private conversations and plans, and that he planned this steps ahead.

You know what? I clapped and yell "wow" so hard when tyr say he wanna pickup his spear and lead army . Rest in Peace Brok :(
Tyr was pissing me off with how useless he was the entire game so this was actually pleasantly surprising.
My three favorite things about this incredible twist/scene:
- Brok, who may come off as the “dumb” one because of how he talks, is the only one to recognize that something is off
- In the middle of Odin/Tyr yelling “DO YOU NEVER SHUT UP?”, the subtitles switch in the middle from saying “Tyr” to saying “Odin” is speaking
- When Kratos throws the spear through the mask, it pierces the same eye that Odin is missing
Called it as soon as Odin said “you know who I am”
Goddamn, dude. That was cold as ice of Odin. What a bastard.
Man I wish I didn’t see this :(
Brok should have maintained his distance from "Tyr" since he was already suspecting him.
If I had a nickel for every time a person of justice betrayed me I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s still weird it happened twice.
Come on man. I just watched one video on GOW Ragnarok and I have a big ass spoiler like this. Fuck.
Damn, that magic dwarven armor didn't hold up much.
if you look closely at "Tyr's" right arm when he stabs Brok, you can see it glowing purple. Odin was likely using his powers to enchant the knife to pierce through Brok's Chest Plate
Bi frost
Lmao this video appeared in my recommendations and the title alone singlehandedly spoiled the major plot twist of the game. Thanks RUclips
That being said, great vid, watched it til the end. It's too late for me.
But im still kinda curious the full game story detail... Mimir's lore and others things. im still hyped and i will rewatch the playthrough.
youtube didn't force you to watch this video.
@@fpsbangladesh547 have u seen the title?
@@fpsbangladesh547 its not about that he watched it or not, read that fuckin comment again, he is saying that video appeared in recommends and the TITLE is the problem.. jesus some people are just totally blind and dumb
So, that's true if Tyr already dead. And The imprisoned Tyr is a fake Tyr aka Odin who disguises himself as Tyr
Dude I love whoever voices brok and his delivery of these lines 🤣
2:43 low how it changed from tyr to Odin
I remember the first time I got to this part, I remember blinking at the exact moment that Sindri teleported. I thought it was glitched, and was so confused until I rewatched the cutscene later on RUclips...
damn odin god, aesir or not he is evil personified
On the rewatch I notice that Tyr is talking like Odin before we discover he IS Odin. He was tired of playing along.
I woulda never seen this comin😭now when I look back at the play through I can see how it’s Odin😭
"It is the Nature of a thing that matters, not it's form"
In the trailer we don't see odins face but we see him everywhere else
Just beat the game the other night. The whole time I expected Tyr to betray Kratos and friends when he realized they wanted to start Ragnarok, I did not see him actually being Odin in disguise coming at all. What a great twist.
**Sindri and brok left the chat**
Atreus: this… whole time?
(Flashes back of fake Tyr who was watching groa’s prophecy when it flashes to Odin thanks to the mod in PC, Odin as tyr was informed about Heimdall’s death, etc. he was always there as the imposter.)
This betrayal would have been so shocking if only damn spoilers wouldn't have leaked. It was so hard to control yourself on not seeing these fucking spoilers
Just you
I did not get spoilers i was surprised
Thankfully I never saw the spoilers, so this twist actually got me by surprise
That's why I scrolled down RUclips slow as fuck looking at the top of the thumbnails and if it was gow I scroll right past and don't read it. Even after i finished it last night I still have the habit lol
Or how he always sat in the middle of the table when disguised as tyr, like everyone sat next to each other like comrades while odin wasn't
that is explained in the last game
Cus they took one of his eyes out in the last game.
@@unicoenelmundo26 yeah and he’s always instigating fights between Kratos and Atreus
I don't understand why it is a giveaway. Mimir had only one eye because Odin took one of them before imprisoning him, which he did not do to Tyr.
I've known since the trailers that tyr wasn't who he said he was. Odin fooled kratos the same way Zeus fooled him with the grave keeper.
So Tyr really was dead and they went and saved Odin from prison thinking it was Tyr?
Well, Odin saw his son and two grandsons' death through his raven familiars, so this indicates that he could hear private conversations and plans, and that he planned this steps ahead.
This is like zeus disguise as the grave digger
@@ZeroAeon Ye, one of challenges in prequel was to literally kill X amount of crows, odins eyes
SPOILER incase you haven't known yet: Yes they did save odin in disguise who they thought was the real Tyr the whole time. Plot twist The real Tyr never died he is still safe sound in his cell after the games finale you can also interact with him. But he has lost most of his memory managing to still remember Kratos by the mention of his name. He just needed space learning Odin has been killed
@@silentgaming6287 that's a lie. Tyr is dead
God fucking damnit bro, I was searching up a guide for something in ragnarok right after I had rescued tyr and this video pops up on one of the first results on Google and completely spoiled it for me.
Other than Kratos, Brok was my favorite character. Sad to see him go 😢
Brok is such a real one 😔
You can see the ravens coming out of his closet when he gets the mask I can’t believe no one checked on him
time stamp?
Brok probably crossed the line with the fake Tyr after calling him out over his “Passable Dirt Soup.”
Surprisingly, if Odin waited a little longer, he probably would've had a better chance
This moment was sad but are we going to ignore the "bullseye shot" from Kratos into the mask's eye?
Who's that RUclipsr who predicted and knew that tyr was in fact
Odin in disguise...!
2018...!
If you find it please let us know here! I would love to watch that prediction.
It was PythonSelkan ! They are mostly known for predicting MGSV's main twist and now Tyr being Odin in disguise 😄
ruclips.net/video/81F8oEO10J8/видео.html
the brothers never showed them using the power to be between the realms. that was the first time we ever saw it with our eyes on him. sindri was so unbelievably broken
probably not the most important thing to focus on in this scene, but that was a really sick spear throw by daddy
I’m still very early in ragnarok but these spoilers have been there since day one. But after seeing this scene and then watching Tyr muddle about home base, I paid close attention to Brok and he was suspicious of Tyr IMMEDIATELY
for me at the time of this reveal. the way i viewed tyr from the previous game came back almost immediately
actually a bit ironic, that a dwarf that claims to make only powerful weapons and armors and stuff, wears a rather weak armor
Brok should have never died
The game is supposed to be released on 9th October. Then how come videos like these are popping up on YT?
Early access maybe?
I heard a place released it early by accident
Some countrys get it early, and some shops released early
early access perhaps?
