    I like Jade, and have to admit that I watch these routines with an elite eye, not L10. So the slight crossed legs on vault, and flexed feet, bring it to 9.975 for me.

      @stephanieotles1847 Год назад +4

      You can’t score a routine a 9.975 in level 10. The smallest deduction possible is .05 I agree on the crossed legs but sometimes I think the college judges are more lenient on that with double and triple twists. The overall impression of the vault was amazing.

    I'll admit I'm not up to date on all the intricacies of gymnet, but why *isn't* it considered a *huge* unfair advantage for college teams to have former/currently training elite athletes on their team? There aren't enough former elites to join every college team, so it's not like the solution is having one at every school.

    • @allycameron2942
      @allycameron2942 Год назад +3

      How is it an "unfair advantage" to just have a really good gymnast on your team? Don't most Olympians (in any sport, not just gym) complete for a college team for their sport at some point? Also, any elite gymnasts who went pro up until a few years ago were actually not allowed to compete in the NCAA. That's why we saw very few gymnasts of this caliber before. The rule change was a huge win for athletes, and NCAA gymnastics is more popular than it has ever been because of it.

      @@allycameron2942 How is it an unfair advantage for NFL players to join HS football teams? • @joyfuljaj

      The rules for scoring college gymnastics are different than for elite, so there are some elite athletes who don't dominate because they are not clean enough. There have been former elite gymnasts in college for years. Most people just didn't know it because such a small number make the olympic team. The elite athletes will tell you college competition is a lot different. Training hours are limited because they are student athletes and they have to manage training to compete weekly rather than train full time to compete only a handful of times.
