It was cool seeing Jordan Chiles supporting Jade Carey after the meet given that they were teammates in Tokyo! Oregon State has a mass of talent! This is why Jade is the best!🤩🥰😊🌹🌹👊🏾
Me too. Loved to see Michigan shake it up last year with their championship title. But this year, a lot of teams, specialists and AA are pretty strong from all sort of Universities❤️
She was scouted by USAG on a level 10 competition, invited to the national camp and she took off really and culminating in an Olympic Gold Medal is quite a story. And she indeed does look more cheerful here but certainly has all the ingredients to a world class AA gymnast, hope to see her in Paris contending for it. She has massively improved on bars and beam and is sure to be a phenomenon.
@@deepeshmathuria I like Jade and hope to see her in Paris as well,I think college will help her to perfect her already impressive form and become more fluid on the events.
@@deepeshmathuria yeah and even the fact that she was a level 10 and a world championship gymnast (I think she got a medal idk which one) in the same year
It’s crazy to me that you can be the reigning Olympic Gold Medalist on floor and still not automatically get perfect 10’s in college floor. That’s not to take anything away from Jade of course, she is and always will be a queen, but it just goes to show the absolute stark difference between elite and NCAA gym, and that we need to give some of these athletes like Jade, Jordan, Grace, and Suni a break and not expect them to be perfect straight off the bat even if they’re now competing at a significantly lower level of the sport! It’s an adjustment process!
Jade is just one of those gymnasts who can improve and learn so much in so little time Just thinking about her elite journey, she basically learned all of the hardest elements on vault and floor in a couple of years despite never really training for elite before. She went from not competing UB to having a very solid routine packed with difficulty and now her form has improved so much Just imagine how fat she could’ve gone has she trained elite for longer
So smooth. Such difficult skills made to look too easy. I've been trying a double double for years now. I either land too heavily or never complete the twist
Judges seem to ignore the Kiya Johnson 6 inch slide on the first pass. If they aren't going to deduct for it than they need to just eliminate the "controlled landing" rule all together and just give them a score based off their name and/or leo they are wearing.
I wish at some point she brings back some of the dance elements from her Tokyo routine. I feel a lot of it is actually pretty gorgeous, just often not in time to the music, likely because it's just used as a breather between the giant tumbling passes.
I'm not a dancer so I don't have much room to talk lol, but I agree. She could definitely use her NCAA career to work on her dancing, since she doesn't need to focus on difficulty as much. Her tumbling and leaps are perfection, but I prefer loads of other NCAA floor routines to this one, just because their artistry makes them more entertaining to watch.
@@klg4zy yes, her other elements are world-class. As a dancer, I just think her floor routines would go from great to holy-shit-amazing with the addition of some musicality in her dancing.
Nope, she slid her front foot in her lunge on her first pass so half a tenth for that on her jump on her second pass she had a little arm circle so half a tenth off that. So a 9.900 would've been an appropriate score.
Jade really needs a dancing coach. She is a great tumbler, no question, but she is a terrible dancer. Very awkward to watch and extreme mechanical arm movements.
a lot of gymnasts are awkward with movements. It surprises me that many college teams don't appear to have a dance coach. I hope as Jade's career moves along, maybe her teammates can help her loosen up and become more comfortable putting expression in the routines.
This is why she’s the Olympic gold medalist on floor! Loved that Jordan Chiles supported her too.

This makes me so happy. I love to see Jade being successful! No longer in anyone else’s shadow. Also ❤️ seeing Jordan cheering her on.
Yup! A little Tokyo mini renunion!
i seriously think if she goes back to elite for Paris she could go back to back on floor.. she’s so good!
So happy for Jade and OSU scoring a huge 197.000
So many rising teams this season and very excited to see new faces

Is there a Sportsman award we can give to Jordan for being a cheerleader for everyone?
her 10 is coming very soon!! so happy for you jade
I can totally see her getting a gym slam in her career
And done!
Those leaps are just PERFECTION! I'm so glad we have a few more years to watch her grow! Love Jade soooo much!!
Watching her at OSU always reminds me that she was never aiming for elite. She just looks so much happier and at ease now.

@@celestecyra9457 yep silver on both floor and vault in 2017 in the World championship at Montreal at her debut elite competition.
Can't wait to see her performance with choreo growing these next 4 years!
I love her music its says so much!!! Get it Jade !! YOU deserve to it!!
LOVE seeing her success in college gymnastics!
What an amazing routine! I love jordan chiles in the back cheering her on
I love how she remixed Survivor by Destiny’s Child. How clever!
Agreed. :)) I love that song
It was mixed by 2wei! They do remixes of tons of other popular songs too
I love her so much but this was very clearly a 9.9 with slides on the first and last pass

Another amazing routine!! Such a great tumbler
The landing on the Silivas seemed less controlled than in the first meet where she was scored lower. All subjective I guess. I love this routine.
Truly a master at her craft
Love the leap in the second pass
the way she overrotated the double double. I NEED to see her back in elite doing the triple double layout haha
So proud of my Olympian 🧡🧡
Her choreography is definitely improving, which is nice to see!
These young women are so happy in college!
She seems more comfortable with the dance this week. Hopefully it’ll continue to improve throughout the season.
Jade is amazing

Omg I love this so much
I love how Jordan Chiles was supporting her former Olympic teammate. Awesome
She looks so happy!!
Linda apresentação dessa ginasta arizonense com a musica remix survivor! Sou sua fã Carey.
That's some good Olympian bonus but who cares that was gorgeous!

she is the gem of the gym...
One judge gave her a 9.95. She had excellent fluidity throughout her routine with great landings.
As a dancer, I would love to see Jade relate to music on floor instead of just going through the motions.

Love Jade she looks amazing glad she’s shining. But this definitely deserved a 9.9
She’s just so good. And Jordan Chiles supporting her is awesome! I love seeing that.
She is really good
I love her
what happened in Brooklyns floor?
Isn't this Aliya's 2019 music?
Nice!
isn't the pointed toes on the double tuck a deduction? not criticizing just wondering jade is an incredible athlete that is for sure
It’s not a deduction, just most gymnasts don’t point their toes because its really hard to do.
Anyone know the music?
🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️
now she is in the elite Gymnastics?
Anyone know ucla’s team overall score?
196.300 i think
I wish I could have tumbled on a trampoline for a floor ex when I was in college.
What was Oregon state team final score?
197.00
Go beavs
This was grossly overscored. The slides back were obvious and should've been 0.05 each
Deserved a 10.0!
Nope, she slid her front foot in her lunge on her first pass so half a tenth for that on her jump on her second pass she had a little arm circle so half a tenth off that. So a 9.900 would've been an appropriate score.
I love Jade, but someone please teach her how to dance.
Zzzzzzz.. GREAT TUMBLING.... Zzzzzzz GREAT TUMBLING.... zZZZZZZZ GREAT TUMBLING...
Jade tumbles and Brooklyn dance would make the perfect FX champion, 15.0 in NCAA and Elite
YOU’RE QUITE THE HATER AREN’T YOU?
Overscored
The judges all need to be fired for the way they are scoring Carey.
She's good but she lacks energy and grace.
WTH? No no no. 9.90

Hard to see elite gymnasts performing such a low lvl skills ..
Okay she did the skills well, but was she sick or injured or something?? Cause she was so boring to watch
