As a brazilian, I became a bigger fan of Simone after seeing her sportsmanship towards Rebeca. Despite losing the floor final, she's still the GOAT. And she's humble enough to lift others around her. A true leader and role model.
Simone Biles!!!
I'm from Brazil and I loved seeing Rebeca and Simone competing. I also loved seeing how respectful and professional they were with each other. Two golden athletes. ❤
That photo of Biles and Chiles bowing to Andrade is going to become one of the iconic photos in Olympics history. After all how many athletes can say that they had the greatest ever in their sport bow to them?
True. But, it doesn't do the moment as much justice as seeing a video clip of that moment. I would love to see such a clip get posted here, just to hear the audience's reaction to that spontaneous display of true sportsmanship!
I am hoping that a poster of that moment becomes available. I want to have one sealed and framed. I have been watching the Olympics since the 60's. That photo is iconic!
Their homage to Rebecca was such a boss queen gesture of respect and sportsmanship. For the GOAT to do it, I know Rebecca will always remember this moment. It was huge for her. So proud of her as well most decorated gymnast for Brazil❤❤❤. I've followed her journey also.
She did that so she took all the attention, and stole the protagonism from the winner. She just wanted to stand out in a moment that was not for her. I can tell you Rebecca is not happy because the whole world is talking about Biles hyperbolic gesture instead of she being the winner.
@@screambeyond 👀If trolling is your go to, rather than supporting these ladies. Then you must be bumhurt three black queens stood on the podium signifying a new zeigeist in the sport. Boo Hoo for you.💯

This extraordinary woman and athlete, with all her nobility, covered Rebeca with her own light and glory. She is already a Brazilian forever in our hearts.
What a beautiful and refreshing interview. I love the chemistry between these two! Simone is so genuine and down-to-earth. Her maturity and sincerity are unmatched. She deserves all the greatness and kudos that come her way
Simone's admirable attitude only proved what we all knew: she really is the GOAT of gymnastics. Recognizing that someone else's talent doesn't take away from yours is also incredible. Congratulations, Simone and Jordan, you were giants at the Olympics, congratulations on the medals.
I agree! I'm Brazilian so I'm 100% Rebeca team 😂, but I acknowledge these ladies well exceeded their Olympic dreams! ❤ 🇧🇷🇺🇲 Fair fucks to Biles to be so humble while being the GOAT!
Sim, requer muita maturidade e nobreza de coração dar o suporte a alguém consideravelmente seu oponente!! Simone e seu time fizeram isso de forma tão honrosa q realmente mostrou seu caráter maravilhoso e admirável!!❤
I'm from Brazil, sometimes our perception towards Americans is that they have that "I'm the best, I'm number one!" attitude that can easily turn into arrogance. Simone showed a different side of Americans and this is pretty cool. She is already the best, everyone knows it, but now she shows she is human and this is great! Rebeca deserves flowers, not only for the gold medal, but you guys outside Brazil need to understand, we don't have a huge structure to support our athletes, Rebeca did not only do her job as an athlete, but she had to overcome a looooot of stuff related to poverty and living in a country where there isn't money for athletes, especially the ones who are starting. Rebeca's mother would walk long distance to work so Rebeca could use the bus pass to go to training, this is one example of the stuff Brazilians athletes deal with.
Hey, Biles took all the attention in the podium with that hyper exaggerated gesture, and she got everyone talking about her instead of talking about the winner. That is not "pretty cool".
There is poverty all around the world including here in America. I think you and many countries have the wrong perception of the U.S. I can’t even afford to pay for either one of my daughters to be in an extracurricular sport like gymnastics and soccer which is something they’ve both wanted to do. I don’t even have reliable transportation. I work full time 40 to 60 hours a week and I get by paycheck to paycheck. Maybe, back in the day Americans were more arrogant and had to be #1? I hate to say it but, times they are a changing. So, hopefully your way of thinking has too.
@@screambeyondI mean you can try to wet blanket the moment but it doesn’t stop the way people feel. This was a great moment and because of it I got to learn about Rebeca. As a black American I am happy for her success 🎉🎉🎉
@@tiannakester3422 First of all, I want to make something clear: while I do think Americans athletes have more support to lean on, they still have to train and overcome difficulties. So, I don't wanna act like it is all about "structure". I also can appreciate that things in America are changing, I try to follow the news, you guys have inflation, the health system is totally capitalist (here at least we have a public one that if it isn't the best, it at least won't let you die for lack of money). Sometimes I watch drive vlogs around US cities and it is shocking to see places like LA with full groups of homeless people dealing of addiction, this shows a lack of investment in mental health and so on. It seems like the US care way too much about babies when in the womb, but not so much after they are born. The way everything is dealt by throwing people in jail for the dumbest stuff (also private jail? a business that profit on the head count of prisoners??). So, I can see that, and some of that stuff we luckily don't have here (in Brazil). Having saying that, we have a lot of slums, more than half of the population not connect to a sewer line. Our "buyer power" (don't know the English expression) is way worse. All currencies are tied to the US dollar, our is not different. When you have inflation, stuff here get expensive. We don't have the acess to the same goods a middle class US person would have. For example, a car is super expensive, it is always "funny" to see homeless people in the US living in their cars, because a car here is for middle class and up, you will never see a poor person with one, never mind a homeless person, we don't even consider someone homeless if they are living in a car. An Iphone here costs like 3 or 4 times the paycheck of a middle class person. We can buy a lot of cheap stuff for "a reasonable price", the stuff is cheaply made, but the price is just "reasonable". So keep all that and think how the living standards are different. You wanna go to a concert? the ticket is a third of you paycheck. You wanna travel? Probably two middle class paychecks if you want to go by plane. So this is to show you the differences. Now, black communities in the US seem to have it worse, I always feel at home when watching black creators vlogs even though I am white. I think our middle class is similar to the black communities from the US standards of living, in general. Even black movies or sitcoms are a huge hit among all groups here, I think it is because of that. So I can maybe see how black athletes have more issues to overcome in the US, but once they made it to a team I think they have a support we just don't have it. Maybe I am wrong in a lot of things, I never been to the US and we tend to idealize, we also tend to feel our country is so far behind. In fact Brazil is a rich country, but a lot of corruption, so people are robbed because of a few greed people. There a lot of "worse" places even in South America. I'm not trying to make this the poverty Olympics. I apricate your difficulties and they are real, but they are different difficulties from what we have. I hope it will get better for you and for me!

Biles is humble, dignified and wise enough to admire someone who faces her and who has also won gold at the Olympics, Biles recognized this, unlike Jenni Hermoso, the Spanish player who didn't know how to lose and offended the Brazilian soccer team, saying that the girls didn't play soccer, and they lost by 4, but it was supposed to be 8, in short, we're going to have a final worthy of the soccer giants Brazil vs USA, I hope it's a great game and that the best wins.🙏🙏🙏
