OMG! I was looking for an R1900 Maintenance video, and this guy literally rips the thing appart, not sure if it's meant as a joke, but ripping the cable so it breaks, and plastic so it bends...don't make this your new dayjob ;)
Okay, I found this video because I have a very stubborn clog on my R2000. It looks like you are destroying the carriage to get the head out. Can this all be put back together the same way and still be functional? If you need to damage everything to get the head out, what is the point?
You don't really need a screwdriver for this. A hammer will do the job. Talking seriously, to remove the chip board properly, you need to push into the little holes on the sides from left and right of the carriage unit. The hole can be easily seen on the right side of the unit, you put the hook in and gently push towards the chip board until it clicks, releasing the chip board. Then push into the same hole on the left side of the carriage unit. Else, get yourself a service manual.
*** DO NOT FOLLOW THIS VIDEO. HE LITERALLY DESTORYS THE PRINTER. If you follow this video you are breaking it. you are not fixing it on any level. i am not sure if this is a punk video or what, but telling people to be careful as you break parts and bend plastic beyond repair. labeling the steps as your literally destory a classic printer is beyond careless.

I don't believe this video for a second.
Did you not just destroy the ribbon cable? Is this video a parody of printer repair?

I am having a problem with my R2000 as well. Have you found any solution to unclogging? I've tried a few things with no luck
Were you going to comment back to anyone? Thanks for helping me break my brand new printer for my darkroom, I REALLY appreciate it.

What a waste of time watching this.
R1900, R2880, R2000 printers have the same structure.

Fair is square, he didn't say to remove the print head and put it back in one piece.
