Nobody will understand you if you use Latinx here, they will be very puzzled. Even more with the plural form “Latinxs”. How are you supposed to pronounce that and differentiate it from “Latinx”? Terrible choice of words. Oh well, I guess it is an English word now, because that’s definitely not Spanish.

I've been learning Mandarin Chinese since I was 13. In 2018 I spent 9 months at Peking University in Beijing participating in an intensive language immersion program, and it was really intense. We were in class from 8 am to 4pm and I was doing homework until 12am that night just to get ready for the next day. It was one of the best things I ever did, I had such an amazing experience studying abroad. Toms sisters program was probably even more intense, and I'm honestly jealous! I'd love to be in a program like that again. If you're really passionate about a language, it's super fun and worth it, even though the work is hard!

Its hilarious how he brings up the word "coger" because it reminds me of funny times in High School. He is correct, It simply means "get/grab/take" in most of Latin America. And Like Tom also said in Mexican Spanish it only means fuck/hump. I remember i took Spanish literature in HS and my teacher would get so frustrated because the novels we read were from Colombia where that word means get/take but my class was mostly all Mexican descent so everyone would burst out laughing at some of the combinations when we she would read out loud, she would tell us to grow up and that Mexico is the only country where that word means something filthy, but i just learned something new because per Tom it also means the same in Argentina lol 😂

Don’t think about the problem (it). = No pienses en el problema. (No pienses en él.)
Don’t think about it (in general) = No pienses en ello.
The “-o” morpheme in that case is ONLY neuter and NOT masculine.

Tom is right, Spanish is waaaay harder than a lot of people think, usually people from the U.S think mexican spanish applies to every spanish speaking country, but that's not the case, slang in every country is so different that could be considered a complete new language, for example, Mexican spanish and Argentinian spanish are extremely different, you can learn mexican spanish and go to Argentina and they won't understand most of the things you are trying to say, same applies with Spain spanish, Colombian spanish, Venenzuelan spanish, and so on.
There's something called ''neutral spanish'' but that only applies to movies, tv series, or anything media related, that's an unique type of spanish, no country speaks that type of spanish but all of them understand it, Spanish can be weird.
